They provide adequate service, but they fix your problems without contacting you first. If you want to have everything fixed and be charged for it when you get there, they're great. If you just wanted the problem diagnosed and to make a decision about whether or not to fix it because you can't afford to pay for everything at once, then definitely don't go here. read more

Jim's Auto Repair is a terrible place to trust your vehicle to go. I know he takes quick cash to perform jobs faster for those customers, so if you have a check, credit card, or any other form of payment, you're screwed. My car was supposed to pick up in early June 2018, but wasn't picked up until the middle of July 2018. He then said it would take two week, and as of now (mid August 2018), the vehicle is still not ready. He also lied about having the car ready to go. He said to pick the vehicle up on "Saturday at 2" but when I got there he was closed. This "business" is a worthless trash heap, so please do whatever necessary to stay far away this abomination. I have been in contact with an IRS agent, and he is will be taking a look into Jim's business. He is even going as far as getting a document from a County judge to view surveillance footage of the shop just so he can more accurately determine how much he owes the government due to lack of paying taxes. Jim's "Auto Repair" needs to be shut down immediately. I'd rather pay for their welfare than pay for them to fix my vehicle. read more

I wish I could give it negative stars. where to begin? apparently you have to have been going to jim's for a long time in order to get treated with respect and common courtesy. i believe we called Jim's auto on a thursday or friday, told him the problem with our vehicle and he was nice enough to come out to our apartment (about 2 miles away) and assess whether or not the car could be driven to the shop or not. someone, i don't know if was jim or not, came by and determined that it would need to be towed. we were told that someone would be by to pick it up sometime over the weekend or perhaps monday since they wouldn't be able to start working on the car til later in the week. we were given an estimated time of completion between the following thursday and saturday. fast forward to tuesday and the car still hasn't been picked up. i believe my fiancee was in correspondence with the people at Jim's and we were told everyday that the car would be picked up. never happened. on tuesday we were told that personal tow truck had broken down the night before which is why it wasn't picked up this time. ok. sure. i guess they're pretty busy over there since they were unable to come get in thursday through monday. we were told they were working on getting the car picked up. flash forward to thursday morning, 7 days from the initial contact(could have possibly been longer, i'm just making it easier from a story telling standpoint) i was told that i should probably take the car somewhere else. so i proceed to do that. i shouldn't have tried to drive it the 4 blocks to the alternative auto shop but for reasons i'll explain shortly i made a bad choice. about 2 blocks from my house the wheel fell off. i called jim's auto to request his help in getting my car out of the road. i was told that he would get back to me. i haven't heard from him since. my daughter's birthday is tomorrow. i could have done anything besides sit here and wait on some douche bag that wasn't a decent enough human being to admit that he had too much work and i should go somewhere else from the beginning. but i put my faith in another man, another human, a supposedly reputable business, to fix my problem. instead of being honest with me so i could get my car fixed and give my baby girl an awesome birthday, this guy strung me along for whatever reason and turned what's supposed to be a fun time into no fun at all. i could just take a taxi to the grocery store but i already have to do that 4x a day between my fiancee and I, and now have to do it for an additional week. so if you like being misled, lied to, and literally left in the middle of the road waiting for Jim to call you back, then this is the place for you. read more

I have had really great experience with Jim's auto. He has reasonable prices and has done really great work on my 1998 Subraru Forester. He repaired a broken brake line for way less than what I expected. He even had to tear the seats out to get to the line and still did a great job. He has also picked up my car from where I work and dropped it off at my house when he didn't get it done in time. Great guy and reasonable prices. read more
