Brought in a Hugo Boss suit and custom dress shirt to be cleaned and both came back with issues…read more They clearly did not treat the garments with care. The suit is completely ruined. The arm of the jacket and the seat of the pants both have damage (as pictured) that is clearly from their machines. The shirt which is brand new has pulls and damaged snap buttons that no longer work. When I brought the suit in to show them the issue, they offered no remediation. Not even a refund of the $22.50 cost to clean the shirt. They tried claiming it was moth holes which is impossible. Look up moth holes. They chew through the entire material. This is not that. Very disappointed.

Do not trust your garments to this scam of a place! Not only did they damage a $100 blouse I…read morepurchased the week before taking it in (they used a chemical that stained the collar and cuffs to a pinkish color) but the manager "Sam" had me come back and forth for 3 weeks telling me "I will fix it", "I will call the store", "I will go to the store in person and get you a new one". After I told him I was tired of him playing me around and that I wanted to be compensated, he accused me of "wanting cash to keep the blouse". The blouse is ruined! I told him I wanted his insurance company information to file a claim for damages and he said "no, I'll file the claim myself and call you in 3 weeks to get you your money". I am an insurance agent and you would think a business manager would know that you don't file a liability claim on your own behalf! He simply walked away and I have not heard from him. Beware of this place. You'll regret it.

Terrible, unprofessional experience. Two weeks ago I dropped off a dress to be cleaned. I asked the…read moreman taking drop offs if there would be any issues cleaning it and he said he didn't know, because he was just filling in for his father. So he took my phone number and told me that his father would call me if there were any issues and he said the dress would be done in 3 days. Today, exactly two weeks later, I go in to pick up my dress and the owner is there. He looks around, doesn't find the dress, asks me what color it was, then aimlessly walks around some more looking (the place is not that big). Then he asks me if I can come back because he can't find it and I said no I really can't, so after spending several more minutes walking around aimlessly, he started to say again that I was going to have to come back when he happened to look underneath the counter and pulled out my dress, which was not clean, and had been sitting there for the last two weeks in the same bag. He offered no explanation, no apology, just stood there looking at me. I took my dress and went somewhere else. Complete waste of my time.

I actually have been here multiple times since my initial review and to the owner's comment, the…read moreprices are not terrible, especially compared to other sites in New Haven, which are admittedly more pricey. I acknowledge this and wish to address this in my update. The dryers are very hot and do not take long, though they are not the fastest dryers I have used. The reason for the downgrade is because of the following: 1. This probably speaks more to patrons in Hamden vs. New Haven, but I have found some truly gross things in the washers (used bandaids) and dryers (flossing pick). I know that the night shift attendant does clean the machines as I have seen them do so and they have signs telling people to check their pockets before washing, but I was truly disgusted. 2. lack of mask enforcement while I was here. There is a Black woman attendant who always wears her (double!) mask while working, and everyone generally will too. However, the times when I have seen Nadin here, she wears her mask incorrectly and patrons do whatever they wish with their mask. Examples are set at the top, and if leadership is lax, patrons notice and will follow. I probably would have liked it better pre-Covid but my last visit (when I found all the junk in the machines) rubbed me the wrong way. I will take my chances elsewhere.
