A few weeks ago, there were only two reviews for this place: the scathing, angry one, and the one that was probably written by the owner's daughter. So is it weird that I was kind of jazzed to notice a spot on the one pice of dry-clean only clothing that I own, so I would have an excuse to break the tie? Yeah, that's weird. This place is within walking distance of my house. I dropped off my skirt (which I love!) and had it back two days later. The owner was a very nice man who quoted me the exact fee and gave me a ticket for picking it up later. I pointed out the stain and he said it would be no problem. I got the skirt back two days later. The ticket with the bar code made picking it up easy, and the price seemed fair to me. It was $9, for the record. I seldom get anything dry-cleaned, so I couldn't tell you if that's a good price. You be the judge. ;) The skirt looks great. I'm wearing it to work today. If I need anything else cleaned, I will happily go back. Also good to note: There is a minimum fee for using a credit/debit card, so if your order comes to less than $25, you need to bring cash. read more

They have always done a great job for me and one time needed item quickly and they did. Thank you to them

I entered and a bell rang as I opened the door. No response to my presence for 5 minutes, maybe more. I proceeded to say, "Excuse me, EXCUSE ME." and then hollered "SIR" to him in the back. I have never felt more ignored. After 10 minutes of my life wasted, I went down to Best Cleaners down the road and they handled everything immediately. read more

This has got to be the worst cleaners around! Very unprofessional and will ruin your clothes!!! Do yourself a favor, save yourself money and heartache You are better off washing your garments in a bucket with dish soap than bringing it here! read more

This dry cleaners is right up the street from me and I thought let me give it a try?! Next time I'll drive the extra couple miles to another one, I wasn't too pleased with the pushy customer service but hey I can say "no" firmly without being rude. I thought I was getting stellar customer service when instead of waiting 3 days for a shirt to be cleaned I could pick it up the same day WRONG the short still had stains on it and I was charged an extra .50 cents because I didn't want to wait 3 days! The worst part not seeing the dirt stains still on my shirt until I got back home that night, needless to say I won't be a repeat customer. read more

I was in the area on business and needed my suit and shirt dry cleaned quickly. The service here was amazing. I typically get my clothes dry cleaned every few weeks back home. I've never felt compelled to write a review for a dry cleaner until now. The owner took the time to explain the dry cleaning process when I asked for his recommendation on how my clothes should be cleaned. He truly knows his stuff. I not only received my clothes back in excellent condition, but walked away with a better understanding of which cleaning methods would be best for different fabrics. Thank you! read more

I live in Newington CT and I have been driving to this cleaner for many years. He claims he uses no chemicals. He has cleaned my clothes and drapes and I have never had a problem with him and he has always been pleasant. JJ read more

I've been using various dry cleaners for years but since I'm new to the area, this was my first (and last) visit to Timely Cleaners. I dropped off 2 black ladies suits on a Thurs. at 4 pm. They told me that I could have them ready the next day at 4 pm with "rush" service. On Sat. morning at 11 am I went to pick them up. The man started running around mumbling and I knew something was wrong. He then informed me that 1 of the skirts was ruined because he spilled a bottle of stain remover on it while RUSHING to clean my suits (of course it had to be my favorite Ann Taylor skirt in a hard to find petite size, retail $108). He said he would give me $60 for it. At that point I was upset but THEN he dropped the bomb, I STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR MY DRY CLEANING! Are you serious?! I was in tears and now I have to run around to find another skirt before work on Monday. I left there with $51 and 1.5 suits. I know accidents happen but it seems strange that one happened on my very FIRST visit. Avoid this place! P.S. Their prices aren't as great as the last reviewer claimed, Cromwell Cleaners charges about the same. read more

Prior to moving to lower Fairfield County, I had the pleasure of using Timely Cleaners, and I can confirm all that the previous poster said about the both the quality of the service and the work ethic of the owners. The owner is a genuinely nice man, who takes care to do things right. In regard to price, this isn't generally the criteria I use for choosing a dry cleaner, as quality is more important than price. That said, Timely Cleaners has excellent prices. My current dry cleaner in Stamford (albeit in a pricier part of CT) charges nearly double what I used to pay at Timely. Timely Cleaners is one of those rare instances of superior quality at a low price. I agree with Heather F. that she shouldn't have had to pay for her dry cleaning given the damage to her skirt, but without having been present for the incident, I can only say this is not in line with the service I received. I do believe that $60 for damage to a used item which has a retail value of $108 is eminently reasonable, especially given the low prices Timely Cleaners provides. If only I could find an auto mechanic as honest as Timely Cleaners, then I'd be truly satisfied :) read more

Excellent service. Very friendly gentleman, family owned. Professional, courteous and timely!

Been coming here for several years. Normally just dropping off shirts. One time I spilled coffee on my suit pants and jacket. He was able to remove the stains within 1 day needed. No complains on my end. read more

I am new to the area and have been trying to find a good cleaner at a reasonable price. I typically have 5-10 shirts and a few pants I drop off every 2 weeks. Service is great. I have even called in an emergency and had an order rushed. It was available 4 hours later when I made it back to the state. Owner is very pleasant and service is prompt. A+. read more

My husband brought my grandaughter's white bunny jacket here. It is a size 18 months so you can see it isn't that large. She had eaten an apple while wearing it so it was a little sticky around the collar. When my husband asked the clerk how much it would be, she couldn't tell him because the computer was "broke". So he left it without getting a receipt or estimate. Three days later he went to pick it up and was charged $31!!! He couldn't believe it! When he asked the owner why it was so much, he said he had to do special things to it. Needless to say, I will never use the cleaner again! What a rip off! read more

I had just moved to the area and this was the first place I've seen. I was surprised and amazed to see how quick the service was - I came in on Friday during lunch hour and they were ready for me to pick up on Saturday. Just in time for my sister's 40th birthday! I was also happy to see that they were able to get rid of the small stain on the back of my white floral dress. This place was definitely a happy surprise and I will soon to be a regular. read more

Brought an item here to be hemmed and they didn't take off requested inches. When I went back to express my concerns the owners wife was nasty and rude. She refused to redo the item and said that I was just trying to get work done for free. Then her husband the owner that actually helped me initially (wife was not there when I dropped item off originally) came up front and also accused me of trying to get more work done for free. Really??? If it was done right the first time I wouldn't be back in the first place. I wouldn't recommend this place based on their unprofessionalism. First rule in consumer business the customer is always right even if they're wrong. Don't waste your time here!!!! read more
