Certain items are worth the splurge- e.g., the homemade potato salad in the deli section... Soooo good!! They also carry a number of homemade soups. They also carry things my mom loves (e.g., turkey wings). For everyday items, you'll do better price-wise shopping at your local Kroger or other such stores. Again, this doesn't replace the pleasure of walking into a hometown shopping store. I also love that they hire people with disabilities - love love to experience this! Still, based on the pricing, I need to rate this store at 4 stars, as much as I love and recommend them for excellent quality and for carrying certain items that are difficult to find elsewhere (my mom loves Kasia's sauerkraut dumplings)! Check them out because it's a feel-good small grocery store, locally owned!!

We also got a half dozen of bagels (asiago, cheddar jalepeno, everything, poppy, & sesame) as well as a veggie cream cheese. I love that the veggie cream cheese has true carrots, broccoli, and other vegetables in it. It really adds a great flavor! We have been enjoying our bagels for 3 days after being purchased and they are just as fresh!

The only thing they aren't tight fisted with is mustard, probably because I asked for just a little. These employees are not happy and it's contagious. The bagels are still decent but at these prices you're better off brining your own beef and home-slicing it like Kramer. The overall experience and value is simply gone

So, the Italian sub is served hot, which isn't always my preference (I think most of their subs are served hot). I like the freshness of the cold cuts served cold. I will say that to their benefit, they don't microwave their sandwiches. They have a steamer they place the meats and cheeses into and then blast them with steam. It is a nice touch, much better than nuking things. Anyway, the bread they used didn't have much "personality" going for it. I love really crusty sub rolls with soft, pillowy insides. This was kind of a softer roll that didn't have any character. Kind of disappointing. The sandwich itself was dressed with mayo (my favorite condiment), but it really needed an acid note to balance the unctuous, fatty quality of the meat, cheese and mayo (hello vinegar...). The veggies just got lost and really didn't add a thing. I did request jalapenos on the sandwich, and unfortunately, they didn't add much (too mild). They do have one of those drink machines that offer what seems to be an endless choice of beverages (love those). There appears to be a cleanliness issue too. I got there around 12:30 and the floors were really dirty. The walls and vents could use some attention, etc. It just had the appearance of not being well kept. In summation, the place wasn't bad, but I can't say I'd go back anytime soon.
