a sub sandwich with meat and cheese
    Megan Y.

We ordered the giant Italian sub to split and it was amazing! We were shocked how loaded the sub was. The pictures may not be pretty, but the sun way delicious and over-flowing! The service was wonderful and quick, and the man making our sandwich was very nice. God bless!

This one is a standard JJ. Good food, was clean. Just a little quiet since went for dinner. No complaints, was comfortable.

Called the Rosemont Jimmy John's to place our order. I always have the same thing! Well it's 5min away. And 35 min later we still did not have our food. So called to see if everything was OK was told she had one delivery before us ...ok no biggie. So food finally gets here.i bite into my sandwich and my tongue starts tingling and my mouth is on fire . I was like wth. Ok open my sandwich to see red and green things. I was like what is that, upon closer inspection I see they are hot peppers!!!!! What! So I said I'll call just have them remake my sandwich no biggie.well called let it ring for ten minutes no answer. So told my husband to try on his phone now we have two phones trying to get through. 5 more minutes later they pick up. I explain that I received the wrong sandwich the kid on the other end sounded confused and told me no u ordered extra hot.i said no I did not I'm not even sure what that means. As I don't like spicy foods and I really hat jalapeño peppers. My husband was sitting next to me and even heard him and said no never said anything like that. He proceeded to tell me well that's what's on the ticket. I said I don't care what the ticket says I never ordered anything extra hot.i get the same number 10 everytime! Well he was at a loss as what to say. So I figured ok young kid first job does not know how to deal with a customer.so I'll let him off the hook and ask for the manager, wrll he proceeded to tell me he is the manager!ok well now I'm at a loss...ur the manager and don't know how to handle a simple problem like this...why and how are you a manager?. Ok so now he let's out a long sigh and just puts me on hold for 5 min.now a young girl gets on the phone with a attitude right off the bat. So I stopped hr right there.let her know that they messed up my order now u are giving me attitude like I screwed up! Oh no child! So I'm trying to explain to her what happened and that I would just like my sandwich remade as I had to go to work soon and this was dinner.all she had to say was I'm so sorry how can I make it right. But no continued to argue with me then had the nerve to hang up on me!!!I swear these kids today to respect at all no clue how to deal with customers.so now I'm mad hop in my car because it's right down the st. Go in and asked for manager guy standing there says that's me started to explain and he said you linda...I said yes would like to know first off who hung up on me!?.bow I see that only one female is here so I said was that you that was so rude!. She said I was not rude.at that point the so called manager says it's been taken care of. I said whats has been taken care of? He says you have been refunded. I said I don't want a refund I want my dinner! He proceeded to basically kick me out laughing and waving at me in the parking lot he was leaving as well! I have never seen such a mismanaged and rude people working in customer service in my life! So childish and unprofessional!I'm not sure who owns that Jimmy John's but I sure as he'll would not be hiring people with no people skills. Damm shame.so sad the work force we have today.never again will we order from that hole again!!!!!!!!!

It came as a great recommendation! We didn't have it for a while since we live the low-carb life but were thrilled to learn they do a "sub in a tub". I love their tuna salad/sub. Their bread is soft, back when I could eat it. They don't overfill it with mayo either and add some mild peppers or hot on request. I like that they don't have onions at the deli so it doesn't overpower everything else. My husband typically loves the club. They rolled a generous amount into a container and I used scissors to quickly and easily cut it. It was a perfect lunch and I have enough for another tomorrow! For $8, or $11 for a generous tuna scoop, you can't beat it. Staff is also quick and friendly at the deli, as well as checkout. You can find all kinds of things for the house or to gift someone whether it's food, a cookie jar, something imported from Italy, or a homemade meal. You'll find something for everyone.

Then my hubby said their tortellini salad was a hit. I ordered my sandwiches and then walked around, taking in the location/store that my hubby had so many memories at. I see there is an area with slots in the connecting room next door. Upon arriving home only to find there was not any Italian dressing on either sandwich or surprisingly in the salad. The sandwiches and salad were dry until we added our own Italian dressing, and the salad is spicy, not refreshing at all. It wasn't until we finished eating that we did a search and found that the family sold the store a while back due to the passing of the original owner. We can say we tried it but will not return. Simply not the same.

Well I took Friday off and made this a bucket list to make a comparison to Old School Manny's deli…read moreand cafeteria. Surprisingly the food for their corned beef deli is delicious in another way. Quality was good it's not as greasy or thick as Manny's corned beef which you'll have a food coma if you ate a whole corned beef or pastrami sandwich over there here the way they make their sandwich is similar to Jason's deli if anybody remembers Jason's deli. Jason's deli was not bad but it wasn't greasy if you're the type that likes greasy salty corned beef if it's done right like Manny's then that's what you should go otherwise if you don't like that feel this might not be a restaurant or cafeteria to eat at. The corned beef in regards to quality their Mile high corned beef was light and delicious it's fresh too just like Manny's but not greasy and heavy. I have seen this on Facebook as well and they're Italian versus being a kosher Jewish and they've been around too but not as old as Manny's since they've been around since 1960 whereas Manny's has been around since 1942 and is as old as my parents. Ambience was very casual and friendly it was my first time I had a dress to the cashier it's not really a cafeteria style but you can still sit down and eat I would most likely come back also because of the prices since Manny's tends to be expensive for their sandwiches. This was expensive too but then again I ordered a chili and a tiramisu I was going to get a potato salad just to find out they had soups. If you're around Franklin Park in like Mom and Pop delis this is another good option and don't want to drive to Chicago for Manny's and an alternative to Jason's deli in oakbrook or in Chicago surprise I did not know the other Jason's deli at the four stars. Being an Italian deli it's going to be a bit more limited to certain kosher dishes so don't expect to have knish or matzo ball soup but they will have chicken noodle soup.

Maybe because it already receives so much positive attention, it hardly needs my two cents. But after this latest visit, I decided to "pile on" with my love for this place. First, I must alert you to pay attention to their hours, because they are closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I kicked myself at least once, when I made the 40 minutes drive from home, just to find that I forgot that they were closed that day. This store is a double threat - offering a great take home Italian deli with a plethora of fresh and frozen items for you to prepare at home. This is also a great spot for lunch, with legendary sub sandwiches, and an array of hot dishes to choose from. I often do both. On this visit, from the deli, I picked up some of their marvelous, thinly sliced breaded eggplant, which I always get when I'm there. I bring some to my ex-wife and daughter who love it as well. Just give it a quick cook in the oven, and it's delicious. I also got some of their marvelous breaded potato salad, which is old-fashioned homemade style. From the hot bar, I got a couple of Italian sausage and some meatballs. I buy these ready to eat, but take them home to use for dinners later. That way I don't have to cook them. Obviously, they offer both meatballs and Italian sausage in fresh or frozen as well, which I get when I'm preparing my mom's spaghetti recipe. This time, I decided to try a quart of their frozen Nottoli homemade marinara, which I hadn't tried before. So delicious! I had pasta and spaghetti with sausage that night, and pasta and meatballs the next. On my various trips here, besides the Italian sausage that they are famous for, as well as the meatballs, I like their olives and other salad items, the sandwiches, brocciole, and many other hot Italian dishes for lunch. The rigatoni w/vodka sauce is a killer. Finally, the people have always been wonderful , which is very important to me. Despite being busy, it is well organized and you're in and out of there in no time (or you can sit at the table inside if you want to eat in). The prices are extremely reasonable, and I'm always pleased about the value I get for such a good price. I apologize for no pictures on this review. I always just seem to be focused on my own mouth watering choices, as opposed to a Yelp review when I come here.

The sandwiches from the case are especially amazing, and change every day so you always get to try something new. Their soups are excellent, their pizza is pretty good. i've been coming here for 25 years, never had a problem. i'd like to address some of the one star reviews I saw below don't listen to them, every now and then you get crazy people that leave crazy reviews, this is a five star sandwich shop trust me One of the reviews, the girl ordered only a salad and complained about the price not understanding that this is a family owned place so everything's gonna be a little bit more expensive than McDonald's or whatever you're used to, because it's good quality food. A couple of the reviews, they talked about bad customer service for being put on hold. For those of us who have worked in a restaurant, you know sometimes it gets busy, let me tell you these guys get SLAMMED around lunchtime as they're literally the best place to eat in town for miles. And so around noon, expect to wait a long time, because they're really really really really busy. in fact, whenever I eat here, I try to make it by 11, and if I can't make it by then, I wait until 1pm cause it just gets soooo busy. if you're an impatient person, that just wants to be angry at everybody and lacks empathy than go eat somewhere else; you won't fit in with the chill family vibe here if you love, family values, supporting good people, excellent food, and a nice place to sit down and have a bowl of soup and a sandwich in peace. You'll love this place, you'll be a repeat customer like me. thanks for reading, God bless Pat
