Got some Packets of mustard handed to me.,,

Hahaha wow.,! Thought they were joking when they said no cheddar cheese, then, I thought they were joking when I asked for regular mustard and they said here .., paid For extra meat and doesn't seem like I did. Over all .., ah!

2 sandwiches and 2 drinks.. Never again for a below avg sandwich and no salt or yellow mustard? Weird

Wow.. not the best experience and definitely not the "worlds best gourmet sandwich" as they claim. I drive by this area frequently on the way up to Camp Nelson. Stopped by on the way home and needed a quick bite to eat. The young man at the register explained their sandwiches and then everything went awkward from there. I asked for mustard instead of mayo, he said they only had Dijon mustard? He did say they had yellow mustard in packets and was very concerned about inputting the exact amount of yellow mustard packets I wanted into the register. The whole ordering system was just odd. Got my sandwich and found it was pretty bland. Went and asked for some salt and the guy tells me they don't have salt or pepper packets? I thought maybe they were just out of them, but he convinced me they just don't offer them. So, to sum up this place, awkward ordering, flavorless (jenny-o tasting turkey), and no salt to make it taste better equals a first impression that will be my last. Oh, I almost forgot about the price.. two sandwiches and two medium drinks for $18.24?!?!.. Nope.. wont be back..

This place has 4 signs saying open, all the lights on and employees sitting at a table with the doors locked waving people away.

Great service, large portions, good chips. What more does anyone want @ a fast sub place. Not gourmet but second place, beats Subway!

Tuesday, March 10th, we traveled to Bakersfield to pick up a vehicle I had purchased, and of course had to stop by Kohnen's. My wife and I split a Tuna and Cheddar Panini, and a loaded Turkey (we arrived too late for Sourdough!!). It is difficult to walk away without a mini-pie (try them all, but blackberry is freaking amazing!!). As always, Danelle was there with her typical congeniality and work ethic! We love her!! And I got to tell her about her doppelgänger in a restaurant in Yucaipa!! They do exist!! In summary, eat at Kohnen's!! Say hi to Danelle!

I visited Kohnen's Bakery Tehachapi yesterday with my family, and this was honestly one of the…read moreworst customer service experiences I've ever had. I only purchased two items -- one cream puff and one slice of cheesecake -- but the cashier charged my card THREE times due to repeated mistakes. Here's exactly what happened: 1) My first card (Card A) was charged $11.20. The cashier asked me if I wanted a receipt, and I said yes. Then she told me the receipt didn't come out because the transaction "didn't go through," and asked me to provide my card again. 2) I gave the same card again, and this time she charged $11.69. 3) Then again, she told me that it didn't go through, so I used a different debit card (Card B), which was charged $11.20. While sitting at the table with my family, I immediately checked my bank account and thought I had only been charged twice. I spoke to a staff member at the store and requested a refund for one of the $11.20 charges, which was processed. However, today I realized I had actually been charged three times, meaning there was still another $11.20 that needed to be refunded. So I called the bakery and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with someone named Danielle. I calmly explained the entire situation and told her I would send all my receipts and bank transaction records by email so they could double-check and confirm everything. She said ok and gave me their email address, but it was very long, and I was concerned about making a mistake while writing it down. So I politely asked if she could text me the email address instead. Her response was extremely rude -- she said, "I'm not required to do that," and told me to just write it down myself if I had a pen and paper. Although I was already uncomfortable with her attitude, I carefully wrote it down and sent the email. However, the email bounced back as invalid, even though I had confirmed the spelling with her multiple times over the phone. When I called again, Danielle answered and said, "Ma'am," in a very dismissive tone, and told me that they had found the three charges and had already processed refunds for both $11.20 transactions. I tried to confirm which card the refund was going to, since I used two different cards, but after putting me on hold for a long time, she read off a card number that was not mine. When I told her that wasn't my card, she insisted those were the only transactions for $11.20 yesterday and told me to "check my bank in a few days" and call back if the refund doesn't show up. And, she didn't apologize for the mistake, even though they charged my cards three times and wasted a significant amount of my time. Even yesterday, when I asked for an apology, I only received one reluctantly after I pointed out that they had made a mistake -- and even then, the response was dismissive, as if I should just accept it because they were "taking care of it." The attitude throughout this entire situation was rude, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. The cheesecake was very good. But because of this experience, I would never come back. We drove all the way from Los Angeles to Tehachapi with my family, expecting a pleasant visit, but this bakery completely ruined the day. Being charged a total of $34.09 for just two small items due to repeated errors is unacceptable. If your staff cannot properly process payments, they should not be working as cashiers. Situations like this should never happen. What's even worse is that after making multiple mistakes, there was not a single sincere apology -- only attitude, dismissiveness, and instructions for me to keep checking my bank and call back again. My time is valuable. This entire situation could have been avoided if things were handled properly from the beginning. This was an extremely unpleasant experience, and I am very disappointed. Cf) For reference, the other $16.05 receipt is for bread that my brother purchased.

Ordered my food about 25 minutes before my break. Walked over. As I stood there the woman (I believe Missy) looked at me and looked away. I stood there as she made a sandwich in one of the slowest motions I've ever witnessed. Then a man from DoorDash came in. She told him,I'm sorry for the wait I've been sooo busy. I still gave her grace and waited. She eventually hands him his bag of items. I said hey,I ordered my food about 40 minutes ago online. She told me I Don't have an order for you. I showed her my email. She then said I don't know what to tell you. I was running out of time to even eat at this point. I told her my name again and that I would call regarding getting my money back. I got the most terrible sandwich for $20 Nextdoor and basically didn't even eat. So I called and she proceeded to say she was soo busy. I politely told her,you absolutely were not. I watched you for 20 minutes! And you ignored me multiple times after looking at me. You dismissed me. She claimed she had 3 online orders before I got there. She stated she found my order. I reminded her that I placed my order 25 minutes before I even got there. She then apologized again, while defending the fact she was "so busy" I stated that "being so busy" has nothing to do with customer service. I asked for management. She said they would be back on Monday. What a let down. What a shame that people With no customer service have to work in it just to have a job. I have sympathy and understanding to a certain level. But now I'm out the $20 I spent on a terrible sandwich from the neighboring store plus my expectations and business from what I was expecting to be an amazing sandwich. (I know this was long, sorry) lol. All and all, awful from start to finish. Don't go here expecting anything beyond what an employee is forced to do. PS,still waiting for my refund.
