Always pay when I get there but the manager here called me after I placed the online order where I selected pay in cash and told me to pay now or cancel the order. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR SANDWICH. They are really nice, but twice now I have had normal toppings just forgotten about and they also have a tendency to put a lot of mayo on. I generally only get 1 sandwich from here. And that is "the JJ Gargantuan". This thing is pretty much every meat available on the menu. And provolone cheese with lettuce thin onions tomato with mayo and vinegar oil and Italian seasoning. The bread is the best bread ive had anywhere. This particular Jimmy Johns in Plainwell has terrible, horrible customer service and sandwich makers who are careless to what is being ordered. I came in during my work lunch hour and ordered 2 sandwiches. One I ordered with sprouts on it and the other I ordered with cheese and sprouts. I arrived home and 2 bites into the sandwiches we realize neither sandwich has sprouts and the one with cheese added to it didn't have cheese. I called the store and was asked to bring them back so they could put the sprouts & cheese on them. When I told the manager Ashley that I was already 10 miles away and on my lunch hour and couldn't come back she said sorry there is nothing I can do for you then. I replied with you're telling me to use up my entire lunch and more gas for you to handle my sandwiches which are half eaten so you can add what you forgot? She said hold on, let me speak with my manager. I'm not sure if there were two managers I was dealing with, if one was an assistant and the other a manager or what was going on. But she insisted that DJ, the other manager, also said if I can't bring them back so they can add the sprouts and cheese, there is nothing they can do. Drove to this location, since I'm 1/2 mile out of delivery range. Ordered an unwich with NO MAYO. Get home and lo and behold, there's mayo on it. Ok, I'll wipe it off. Open it up, bad idea with a lettuce wrap, and stick in the mayo is a hair. Disgusting. I called to have them deliver a new one, since I'm so close to their delivery range, and they screwed up twice, surely they will bring me a new one. Nope. I'm told there's "nothing they can do", and it's "out of their control". That's bull. Make it right, Jimmy Johns. Even if it takes crossing an arbitrary boundary. read more

I have to say the customer service is very poor!! I ordered a sandwich for delivery at lunch time and when it took an hour for it to be delivered I called. The girl asked my address shuffled through some papers and said "oh well that will be in the next delivery as soon as the driver gets back" I wait another 10 minutes after it's supposedly out for delivery and call back. The manager threatened to call the cops on me if I showed up in person and never once did anyone apologize. The line I kept hearing is that we no longer offer a 10 minute guarantee. Please please please add noise reduction materials to the dining area. Two children and a terrible mother were so loud that even the workers cleared the front. Sandwiches were great. Service was too good to give less than 4 stars. The lack of anything to reduce the noise produced by children screaming at their mother made me regret the choice to eat in. Perhaps I am being inconsiderate to the deaf people a county over that will lose the only sound they could hear from vibrating their bones... But call me selfish as I do not care to join them in deafness. Luckily tomorrow is a holiday so I have an extra 24 hours for the ringing in my ears to end. read more

we have a family of 11. We ordered nine subs from Jimmy John's a couple of times a month and the Plainwell area. Every single time we get our delivery some thing is wrong with at least two of the subs. They've even been left across the street at our neighbors house once and we had to go get them. Today I ordered subs we're getting ready for dinner the subs arrive. I specifically have them put everyone's name on each individual sub because they screw up so often. Now and behold, one of the subs were not right. I called the Plainwell store and let them know that it wasn't right and I was informed that someone could re-deliver me another sub in about 20 to 25 minutes. this leaves one person not eating with the rest of the family. when I said that wasn't good enough because I'm really tired of getting it wrong and I guess I need to find a new place to eat, the employee asked me do you want me to fucking teleport it? Super inappropriate for a business in a small town. and he hung up on me. I called back and another person answered and asked for the name of the person I had just spoke with, he told me he wasn't allowed to give it to me when I asked him who the owner of the business was he said I can look that shit up online myself. And then he proceeded to say 3 to 1 and hung up. I'm a business owner and I don't know what kind of people you have working for you Jimmy John's but it is very very sad. I understand staff is extremely hard to find right now but you should at least teach your employees some respect for your customers that are putting money in your pocket. read more

I just went through the drive thru at the Jimmy Johns in Plainwell. Upon returning home I found a hair in my sandwich. I called the store and spoke with Barbara( at least that's what she claimed her name to be) and spoke with her about it. She was completely rude to me and told me unless I could bring my sandwich right back up to her immediately that there was nothing she could do about it. That it was their policy. I told her that I was unable to come right back up there and only had time to get food through the drive thru and asked her is that meant that there was nothing else she could do? All because I couldn't immediately come back up there? Again she replied " Unless I brought the sandwich back immediately there was nothing she could do". Despite offering her my receipt number and everything. She was beyond rude, and after this I will not be going back to this location ever again. read more

if you like deli style sandwiches, this is the place to get them. they are fast and they let me adjust my order when the sandwich on the menu wasn't how I wanted it. the staff were friendly and seemed to know what there were doing even though they just opened. building is really small, but enough for us and two other families. 9/10 would go again. read more
