I'm sure glad I made the decision to get off the highway there because this place is definitely unique, compared to places likeSubway, Firehouse, Jimmy John's, etc. First of all, the team working that day were mostly young employees, likely high school or early college age with a slightly older more experienced manager present. All of them were very polite and anxious to serve. They were extremely efficient and preparing my sandwich. everything on the menu looked delicious, but I opted to go with the healthier Avo turkey sandwich, basically a turkey club with avocados. This is one of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I know I was hungry, but this was beyond that, it truly was good and nutritious and my lunch was just under $14, which is difficult to do these days. The workers there demonstrate excellent work ethics and those young ones will likely go onto college and have successful careers that were helped launched starting out preparing sub sandwiches at this wonderful place.

I even won a signed sports auction item for my hubby a couple of years ago. They have a weekly auction out on by an external local company. On this particular outing, there was a host at the entrance and we had a party of 8. Sometimes there isn't one and it says to seat yourself. I told him we had 5 adults and 3 kiddos. When he sat us he only gave us the regular menus - so I had to grab my own kid menus myself at the host stand. Then he also said - you'll have to ask another table to borrow a chair - this combined table only has 7 chairs. I politely asked him if he would ask the other table as a courtesy which he did. I am gfree and they have a lot of options with a gluten free bun you can do. I usually order the BLT burger or Cali Burger. Sometimes with the gfree bun sometimes not. I always upgrade to the side salad as my side which is delish with French dressing (no croutons). The quality of the food is really really good. One of my fav burger places in the twin cities. Another cool thing about the Muddy Cow - 2 for 1 drinks so on this particular visit I ordered a Suncruiser (pink lemonade) and totally forgot I would get 2. We also love the duck machine...which is also a highlight! $1 per craw grab. Also lots of tvs to watch sports.

My wife had the French Onion Soup and a side of fries and a pretty decent Perfect Martini which came with a side of chips and salsa. The soup was a bit salty so she couldn't finish it, but that would be expected with that kind of soup. Otherwise it was full of cheese so she was not disappointed. I had a Swiss Bacon Cheese Burger, which was medium rare just like I ordered it. Their burger is never frozen which made for a nicely flavored and perfectly seasoned burger. It was a quiet afternoon when we went so service was good and our waiter was pleasant and attentive. The decor was "commercial" but with imagines of local sites on the walls. Not quaint by any means, but at least it was clean. Our bill was $37 which wasn't cheap, but we didn't take advantage of the happy hour specials; the Perfect Martini was $10 alone. Our mistake, but overall, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience and would try the restaurant again without protest!
