First time I have tried Jimmy John's in Medford. My issue is that I ordered the 'Little John' for lunch expecting a small sandwich but it was just a small piece of bread with a slice of roast beef. It is just like finger food or an hors d'oeuvre. Ridiculously small. It's not on the same size bread as the other subs and there was virtually nothing in it; a few tiny tomatos and some mayonaise. So, it was mostly a small roll. My sister had to share her sandwich with me so I could have lunch. I am puzzled and somewhat wonder that the cashier didn't describe what it was to me or say, "this is more like a small piece of bread with a small slice of meat. We don't put much in it. Not really a sandwhich. It is a snack for $5.50" We we both too surprised and hungry to complain. The bread was good though. read more

I had never had Jimmy John's before going here today and now I will never come back. The sandwich that I got was less than desirable, to say the least. When we got here, the building was empty and there were no customers (I can see why now). All of the tables inside were dirty and the employees were standing there. Very fast, courteous and cheerful service. Competitively priced. Consistently good sandwiches, made-to-order with fresh rolls and bread, deli meats and veggies. Bottomless beverages, kettle-style chips, excellent cookies and really fabulous "half-sour" pickles. The store is neat and clean (clean? the day I was there, you could have performed surgery in the men's room), decorated in a current, casual and humorous fashion. And they deliver localy. Honestly don't understand why they are still in business. I have eaten here off and on over the years and Everytime I go in, it's a terrible experience. The staff always lacks customer service. The last time I went in, right off the bat I was greeted with staff whom all look annoyed. My daughter and I looked at each other in confusion. I ordered a roast beef sandwich and a turkey, both light mayo. The young woman took my order and in a few minutes the turkey was was ready. After 15 minutes I asked where the roast beef sandwich was? The girl scoffed and said uh I thought you only wanted one. You seemed confused about what you were ordering and I read back your order. When I ordered I was in no way confused. The first thing that I ordered was the roast beef and then explained the turkey was for my daughter and asked if they had a children's meal and then proceeded to say light mayo on both. I don't remember her once repeating my order back. Which is my fault. So she pointed to a new cashier who rang me up quickly. As soon as I said I'll have a roast beef with everything on it, she let out the loudest and longest sigh of annoyance. It was so loud everyone looked at her. At the point it was slightly comical because it was so ridiculous. I then asked for a bag took our sandwiches and drove home. Once I opened our food they both had extra mayo and the roast beef had only roast beef and a pound of lettuce on it. Needless to say its been a similar experience everytime. They get a one star for decent sweet tea for being in Medford, OR. It was disappointing. They only have one kind of cheese seemingly only have mayonnaise as far as sauces go. Which I can't hold against them too much given the pandemic. But I'm pretty sure they have all cheeses at subway across the street. They did not have napkins in the entire place, and the employees were not friendly nor helpful. Ok so I've been out of town for awhile and wanted to enjoy Lunch at Jimmy Johns with my brother-in-law (who is autistic) After reviewing the menu I requested the Original #1 Ham and Provolone Cheese Simple right? Not!!! I requested his half of the sandwich to have No Cheese. The boy behind the counter says I'm sorry ma'am I can not do that we make them as a whole. To make a change you have to buy 2 separate sandwiches. Well I want a footling not 2 half's mind you to get 2 halves the price increases. So just remove the cheese from his half and add it to my half. Can't do it!! Wow really what happened to taking care of your customers? Customers first?? So I said sorry I'll take my business elsewhere (went right down the street to Squeeze in Sandwich shop!!!) Best decision I have ever made I will be going here from now on and I'll also let all my family and friends know about how good a place it is. I haven't had jimmy johns in over five years so went with what I got 5 years ago at a different location in a different state. I ordered the bootlegger sub meal Pros: good customer service, there was lots of lettuce, it taste good. Half of it filled me up Cons: they were over staffed it's no wonder the kitchen was messy... They probably couldn't move very well. I ordered the bootlegged sub no mayo turkey and roast beef, lettuce tomato... I could barely tell there was meat on there. If I were a vegetarian I would have ordered the veggie sub. Luckily I like lots of lettuce, however I felt I paid just over 9 bucks for lettuce. Overall it was fine but not really worth the price given the type I ordered. I heard ahead of time they heard I was on my way. This is odd shit- however still convince this place will put subway out of business! Several years ago when I tried in the south I pretty much never wanted to eat at a different one again. Would be nice to know who and why... considering I'm not paid to eat out and review and why I order a specific sub that the added greens over powered it. Whether I was pregnant or not, sick or not, there is no way in hell I would have ordered a vegetarian sub. Especially considering health wise my body is best on meetThat day was odd. Well, I'll grant Jimmy John's an exception since they're new kids on the block. Good grief. I've had bad sandwiches. I mean, I've been to Subway. I find it ironic and amusing they have a neon sign in the window advertising "free smells," as though their fare had any kind of aromatic quality to it. Well, if you like smelling sponges and foam, then I guess JJ's "free smells" should be right up your alley. It boggles my mind how utterly bland this sandwich was. I remember when soy faux-meats were in their infancy, and how utterly spongy and tasteless they were -- but vegetarians were just so happy to even have something remotely like it. Well, JJ's meats are about the same quality -- completely tasteless and spongy. You bite into your sub expecting something. You get something edible, but that's about it. I've been to school cafeterias with better tasting sandwiches than these. The bread isn't any better. When Subway of all places makes your sandwiches look boring, you know you're in a bad spot. I love how they try to hide the bland with a gallon of mayo. Sorry dudes, what do you think this is, the midwest? All the mayo in the world isn't going to help this poor excuse of a sandwich. First, the positives: Easy ordering online, sandwiches were ready when we got there, order was correctly executed. Those are big enough pluses for me to possibly give it another try in the future, but I can't make any promises. Now, for the not-so-great. There is more mayo than there is meat. Meat is very bland. I ordered avocado on my Pepe as an extra, and it was like they put a light glaze of it on there with a paintbrush. The sandwich itself is, by and large, mostly bread. For what you get, it's way too expensive. I would have been happier with a $5 footlong from Subway. I was pretty disappointed :( Maybe I caught them on a bad day, who knows. Faster isn't always better, and Jimmy Johns is proof of that for a fact. They will have your sandwich ready before you've even finished filling up your drink cup. Bland, uninspired sandwiches with just the bare minimum of meat, veg and flavor. When you unwrap your sandwich it looks like a loaf of bread, no evidence of meat or lettuce or anything really peeking out from the bread. It's a chain that delivers on quality ingredients, and quick service. Standard lunch sandwiches, decent price. Overall a great chain to see in Medford, and a new spot for a quick bite. Now, the location.... bad at best. We were there for a work meeting, 12:30 +/- a few minutes. The line spills in to the dining area, that is small and hard to navigate, and the drink dispenser is buried in the back, and guess what... you have to compete with people picking orders up. But it was clean... We chose to sit outside, as the booths are not large enough for 4 grown men. That was a mistake! Junkies sitting on the steps smoking, people waiting for the bus.... smoking, within 5 feet of our lunch. Enjoy your smoke, I am all about it.... but not while I eat! Went to Jimmy John's for the first time yesterday. I ordered a roast beef sandwich and brought it home because they do not heat any sandwiches. My husband wanted pastrami, but they do not have pastrami, so he settled for ham. Provolone is the only cheese they have. When we arrived home, I unwrapped my Sammy and pulled out the 2 thin slices of meat which did not even cover the bread. Half of the sandwich was bread, mayo, and lettuce only. My husband's sandwich was equally as barren of meat. Ridiculous waste of money for wish sandwiches as we were left wishing for some meat. Cannot understand how this franchise survives. We felt ripped off, and we will never ever return to throw our money away on anything made at Jimmy Johns! I have eaten here a few times now, and like with every new chain that arrives here, it is over-hyped and under-delivers. However, (and I love the "No Hippies Allowed" sign. Tongue in cheek humor folks. Get over it!) the sandwiches aren't terrible. I get the Vito (I-sandwich basics. Salami, cheese, ham, peppers, dressing) which is somewhat less of a gut-bomb, and I say for the money spent, it's a tasty sandwich. It won't ever be a New York deli, but it's not trying to either. Location is not great but they deleiver and we have taken advantage of that a few times. It's also inexpensive and a lot less of a pain than placing a big-ass Subway order that pisses everybody behind you in line off. Lighten up, folks. It's not that bad. read more

Old favorite Jimmy Johns. I tend to get a late night sandwich from Jimmy Johns. Appreciate the fact they stay open until at least 10pm. The breads and meats are fresh tasting as well as the veggie toppings. The store is clean, music at appropriate level. The staff is receptive to communication, as well as open to talking with customers when there is no line. Jimmy Johns employs younger generations who seem to have an open mind which is nice to see. Gluten free options (the "unwich) and quality ingredients means that we'll actually step foot in to this chain. Flavors were great and service was cheerful and prompt.
