Two small kids were nearby by themselves one about three sitting at a table with lots of toys. Other about four just sitting . Obviously, the greeter/sandwich maker was babysitting. I don't eat here too often because of the parking situation. There are meters, but you have to put money in every fifteen minutes if it's before 5pm. Every time I do eat here, I get the same thing: Hunter's Club. It's a roast beef sub with provolone, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. It's good. It's outstanding on the wheat bread, which I only sometimes get because getting it on a sub roll is more filling. They now have pasta salad and potato salad. I'm a big fan of pasta salad, so I tried it today. Let me tell you something: THE PASTA SALAD IS NASTY. Whoever in corporate tasted it and approved it is out of their dang mind. So, I love Jimmy John's, I love their food. The service today that I had wasn't the best... I pre-ordered my food online before they opened I asked for it to be delivered from 11:45-12:00 at my workplace. I had to call the store to ask for the status of my delivery at 12:06. They said the driver just left with my food. I had to call again at 12:43 to ask where my food was because my lunch was almost over. They told me that the delivery driver had 7 orders all at once. I don't think they should give me the option of what time works for me for the delivery if they're going to be an hour behind. So this is a customer service review because we weren't able to buy their subs. On the JJ app the hours begin at 10:30am. We needed to get an order ready and delivered for our kids in the band no later than 11am. My husband and I sat and waited 20 minutes for 10:30 then went to the door - 3 workers inside looked at us and waved us off - still closed. I called the number and explained online it said open at 10:30 but they stated that was NOT what it said and that their manager told them between 10:45-11. So.... guess who is open across the street? My first Jimmy John's experience was about 9 years ago in Chicago. I was so happy when it finally made it's way to my hometown of Fort Wayne, IN a few years ago. What I love most about Jimmy John's is the bread because it is always fresh and delicious. I always get the Turkey Tom. It's just turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, sprouts and mayo. It's simple but really good. The sandwich size is pretty large too. I took my mom there for the first time yesterday and she really liked it. At first sight, Jimmy John's isn't much different than Subway. But after ordering a sandwich, I realized it is something more. I couldn't get over how fast the service was. I barely had time to pay and they had my sandwich ready for me. They offer local deliver, you can place your order online, and frankly, I couldn't believe how crazy busy they were even after the typical noontime rush. I definitely would go back again. I was at your Cresent Ave location. $1 sub customer appreciation night. 4-8. I waited in line in 38 degree weather with my family. My kids are 5,7, 12 14 and 15. We were able to get inside the building and the lady and her kids in front of us was the cutoff point as they didn't receive subs either. It would have taken 10 minutes at the most to finish as no one was in line after the group behind me. I understand there needs to. E a cutoff, however, it doesn't take Einstein to realize it may be a good idea to tell the people in line they are cutting things offf at exactly 8. Jimmy Johns is located within delivering distance of my both of my jobs. I like to order lunch from here whenever I forget to pack myself a meal. The quality of ingredients is usually pretty good; however, the preparation is inconsistent. Today I ordered a bootlegger club and asked for hot peppers... I got zero hot peppers. The tomatoes were teeny tiny and did not cover the bottom side of the French bread. I like Jimmy Johns but they almost always make my sandwich leaving off parts of my order. The last time I ordered extra cucumbers and they failed to put any on my sandwich. I used to work for Jimmy Johns so I know that everything is made fresh, which is nice if only they could make my sandwich how I order it. I've never had to wait long for an order but I'd rather wait a few extra minutes for a consistent and complete product. I've never had a problem with the person delivering the orders.
