I do love a good JJ's and this one is the expected "freaky fast" though we ate-in rather than delivery. Number two, add cheese, add mustard, add cucumber, hold the mayo, cut in half. Easy, pleasy. I hadn't even finished filling up my cup of tea when they called my number. Excellent. The sandwich was perfect and prepared as ordered. Go, JJ's! read more

Wonderful eatery when traveling, healthy and fast. Staff very friendly. Vegetarian lettuce wrap didn't have much taste though and $5 for one tomato with lettuce wasn't worth it. Others liked their regular sandwiches though. SOFTEST, BEST TOILET PAPER EVER at any public restroom! Yes, makes a difference, plus it was clean. FREEZING, bring a sweater! read more

Freaky fast?! I stood at the counter for 6 minutes before someone asked take my order. Waited 20 minutes loner before I realized they had two sandwich makers working together to make each sandwich and they were focused on a slew of to go orders. I get 30 minutes for lunch. I left without a sandwich 26 minutes after ordering. More like Stupid Slow. read more

So slooowwww! 10 minutes and waiting at the window. Worker shortage really impacting them

Several times I have ordered a sandwich to be delivered and it took over 1 hr and 30 minutes to get it...they are probably 10 blocks from here...worst service I have seen in a long time ! Done with them !! And it cost $4.99 to deliver it.....90 minutes late !! Terrible !! So much for "freaky fast" read more

Jimmy John's - That good Vito! - Sandwiches Near Me - Florence, South Carolina

A coworker recommended this place for the fresh aspect so I decided to give it a try. I now have absolutely no respect for that person. If he would eat food from here, he would eat a pine cone he found lying in a field. I ordered the Club Lulu, which is essentially a turkey club on wheat. I also ended up paying $16 for a sandwich and chips. I added to the order notes: please toast my bread. I had no idea I was committing a great apostasy. They don't toast bread here. Not long after, some cheese-dog looking dude shows up at our office with my sandwich and publicly dresses me down for asking for toasted bread. You would have thought I ordered a bacon-wrapped scallop at the local synagogue. "You KNOW we don't toast no bread." ... Ummm ... no. I don't. If I had known that I wouldn't have ever ordered from you. And I won't again. My sandwich was mostly meh. The ingredients were pretty fresh but it was squished to the point that I wondered if it had been in someone's pocket. Not exactly what I was hoping for. My thoughts are I should always be able to get toasted bread and have my sandwich cut diagonally. This was clearly too high-tech for for those jimmies over on Palmetto. Even if my request was not doable, they could have called me to let me know. If that's too above and beyond, don't send some slacker over to my office to reprimand me for the way I want my food prepared. Skip this place. If I want to be scolded and abused at the dinner table, I'll go visit my grandmother. read more

So I drove 15 minutes out of my way to get a sandwich here. They closed early. Five hours early.

Does anyone know if they still have the nerve to say that they are Freaky Fast? Well let me say if they do they are lying like dogs! I called today for 1 number 9. A nice girl took my order (Camryn),she asked if 20 minutes was ok. Because it would take that long. So I asked my husband, it was his sandwich, 20 minutes was ok he said. 20 minutes turned into almost 45 minutes! I even called back to check on the status of my order she said he had left 2 minutes before. We live less than a mile from them. It was still about 10 minutes before he showed up! Freaky Fast no now they are F- -kin Slow as in! Do y'all not know that Firehouse moved in just down the street!?! Are y'all just going to roll over and give them all your business? Well I'd say you're doing a great job at it! And if y'all don't get your stuff together then you might as well go ahead and close now. Cause y'all are running the name down fast...well at least we know you can still do fast! I hope someone gets this message in time to get things back on track and puts a little fire under the their a$$es! Owners... if it's your employees ... then get people who will do a great job for you...that is if you still care about your business. My husband says he will still get his number 9s, but he go get them himself from now on! read more

I can never knock jimmy johns for the quickness of my sub or unwich, as well as how clean the location usually is. However, in the midst of that customer service definitely lacks. This location is right near the hospital where I work. I went right before work and there were maybe a few people inside. The cashier looked less than amused to help me with my order. I could barely get a word in and ask a question before I already had my total given to me. If you're looking for a quick meal, here you go. Furthermore, if you're looking for friendly, hospitable service, good luck! read more

So usually I am not into Yelping chain restaurants unless they are localized to a specific area (i.e. Fatz Cafe) or if a particular one does something exceptionally good/bad. The new Jimmy John's in Florence is located near my workplace and I was hoping I could add it to the list of places for lunch/dinner. I have heard people rave about this place and the parking lot always seemed full so me and the BF decided to take a chance. After finishing my meal (or part of it since I couldn't bear to eat the rest of it) I couldn't even fathom why people would waste their money on a sandwich that I wouldn't serve to a prisoner at the Florence County Detention Center I ordered the #1 Pepe which was smoked applewood ham, provolone cheese, and garnished with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The bread was so tough and chewy it could be used to club baby seals. The ham was no better than what you can get from the local grocery store. I was only able to eat half of my sandwich and I took the other half to work to see if I could trick someone into eating it (it stayed in the refrigerator until I had to toss it). The BF ordered their BLT and she also wasn't impressed. One huge gripe from someone who worships chicken is that none of their sandwiches contain any type of chicken. None of their sandwiches are hot either so if you don't want cold cuts you better head farther down the street to Quiznos. Also disappointed by the fact that the only sides you can get from this place are cookies and potato chips. That's right folks if you South Beach it like me sometimes there isn't a side here you can have on Phase 1. The prices for a cold cut sandwich are also steep. I paid $16 for two sandwiches. We could have driven another 2 miles to an authentic Mexican restaurant and had a delicious meal for that much money during lunch. There have to be some positives right? Well for starters the door opens both in and OUT. You can also easily go online and peruse their menu before stepping into the store. I like restaurant chains that are starting to appreciate their more tech savvy customers. They even have ways to order online before you get there and this particular Jimmy John's has a drive thru window. They do cater as a means to serve their tasteless sandwiches to the masses instead of the few. Other positives include the friendly staff and clean facilities. This place is probably worth a try for those who like the Jimmy John's chain or sandwiches in general but as for me I won't be back. read more

Jimmy John's - a sub sandwich and chips - Sandwiches Near Me - Florence, South Carolina

I just threw away my sandwich in Florence South Carolina on palmetto st. I have asthma and it's bothering me greatly at the moment so I'm worried enough about contracting covid as is. Jim trying to take every precaution. But went out today anyways because I had no other choice as both my delivery apps weren't working and I really wanted a small simple sandwich. I was met with an employee at the window with no mask on and the three people making sandwiching had there's pulled down below their noses. I'm not sure what part of pandemic you don't understand. Thanks jimmy johns. You've lost my business for sure. read more

It's a Jimmy john's... kind of hard to screw it up. This is the third or fourth time I've stopped here as it's in a convenient place along my route to/from Charleston. read more

I hate reviewing chains, but they're about the only thing to review in Florence, which is inundated with them. Anyway... Before you eat at Jimmy John's, you need to understand what you're not going to get: soups, salads, chili, hot subs, fries, onion rings, etc. The intent of this place is provide a stable, reasonably priced, cool to room-temperature sandwich of decent quality that you can grasp with one hand. The sandwiches are more substantial, more dense, more tightly-packed than any other sandwich joint than I've been to. This is on-the-go food: the opposite of Firehouse Subs and Quiznos. I always order one of the following: the quarter-pound rare roast beef or the turkey with cucumbers and avocado, both on white sub bread with provolone --at a price of $5.50. I always have them add cherry peppers on the sandwich as well (love this free option) to add a bit of heat and tang. I do not recommend ordering their whole pickles (99 cents extra); they are mediciny and over-saturated (this is a pretty big minus, in my book). Claussen pickles kill these things. The meats, cheeses and toppings can be tasted on either one of these sandwiches. That's something that Jimmy John's has going for them: you can taste all of the ingredients, perhaps attributable to the temperature of the subs and the decent quality of the ingredients. Their competitors' ingredients often are lost due to low quality ingredients (Subway [barf]), high temperatures (Firehouse Subs, Quiznos) or an overwhelming bread (Quiznos). The indoor dining experience is sub-par due to the ear-cracking noise of the place: merely trying to order your sandwich is a trial, and forget about having a conversation with lunch-mates. The online ordering system, however, is fantastic: my order, picked up at their to-go window, is always fulfilled when I arrive with 100% accuracy thus far. I noticed another reviewer say that they could eat "authentic", "delicious" local Mexican food at a comparable price to Jimmy John's. This is an irrelevant comparison, and a pretty inaccurate description. First of all, they're two entirely differently concepts: If I'm in the mood for a sub, I go to what I think is the best sub place; I don't go to a "Mexican" place. Secondly, I mean, really: Is the cheap, unhealthy, low-quality, pre-made, often-unsanitary, Americanized excuse for "Mexican" ever "delicious?" And, trust me, if they paid 16 bucks for their meal they got chips and/or a drink, maybe even a pickle. You're paying that just about anywhere, if not more, if you want a non-value-meal lunch. I just get the sandwich, 8 inches long with a quarter pound of meat and the toppings, which is plenty substantial for most human beings and runs me around 6 bucks. THE GOOD: Simple concept. They specialize in one thing: sandwiches. Decent-quality ingredients. Cherry peppers. Tight wrap. Great for on-the-go. Can be healthy. Online ordering. Good value. THE BAD: Indoor dining experience. Pickles. I give this place a 2.8, a C+. read more

For the low carb dieters', try their lettuce wrapped unwiches. I like the Vito unwich. Drive up, order, grab the sandwich and gone in about 3 min... Freaky Fast. read more

Awful sandwiches. Skimpy on ingredients, would not toast the rolls. Nothing exciting!

Italian Night Club = DELICIOUS. Food was fresh, fast, perfect place for lunch. Highly recommend!

I really like the sandwiches but I always feel rushed to order. I always get the very same thing because I don't feel that I can take time to look at menu. The staff seems frustrated if can't order the moment you walk in. Food is good but I feel I can make the decision if I want salt and pepper. read more

Service was terrible, food was only slightly better. Looks like the floors hadn't been cleaned in several days. I won't be back...

I am a big fan of Jimmy Johns. I went to the one off of Palmetto at about 2 pm. I ordered my usual #16. When I got home I opened it up to see there was no turkey. All that was on it was lettuce, cheese, and a piece of bacon. I was utterly disappointed. Double check your bag before leaving if you go here. read more

On a busy day when I needed to continue to work while someone else prepared my food, I appreciated Jimmy Johns having a delivery service for "even just one sandwich" as their ad out front says. While it was just a sub, it hit the spot. They prepared it to order and brought it cheerfully without a delivery charge, just a smile on her face. It was quick as well - so quick that I called back when another employee wanted something but the driver had already left and was knocking on my door a few minutes after. They should consider toasting/steaming or other form of heating the sandwiches to make them even better. read more

Better check your order before you leave. Last three times I have received the wrong order. What makes it worse is I only ordered one item.

*Terrible customer service*! I normally do not post about food experiences but this one was bad. I ordered a sandwich but i didnt check it before driving off. Half way down the street I opened it and realize I had the wrong order. When I brought it back....I got stared at, frown upon and that what do you mean you didnt order this stare? I immediately ask for the mgr. explained what happened...he made me a new sandwich with help ofbthe same person. I bite into the sandwich...it was sooooooooooooooooooo hot I almost went to the ER. It sent blood pressure thru the roof. I never eat hot mustard or hot sauce on food. I could not eat the sandwich. My eyes and nose was burning...My lunchbreak was over....Why was i treated as if I did something wrong for complaining about my order. I will NEVER eat there again. Bad customer service!! This could have sent me to the hospital. They lost a faithful customer because of this. read more
