Jimmy John's - Food - Sandwiches Near Me - Elgin, Illinois

This might been my worst Jimmy John's experience. I think I've ever had in the multiple times that I've been to a Jimmy John's restaurant. First off I ordered a giant big John if you know anything about the Jimmy menu then you know that that's the roast beef sandwich. This location should call that sandwich the barely any John. The first bite of my sandwich didn't even have meat in it, which was already disappointing. So when I decide to check why and look underneath the bread there's literally less than a layer of meat in my sandwich. Now, I understand that with the current economics world we live in that things are expensive, but I paid $18 for a sandwich and a drink, and I barely got enough meat to cover one of their small sandwiches. That being said, I will never go to this Jimmy John's again, and I will make sure that other people know not to go to this Jimmy John's as that was a pathetic excuse for a sandwich shop. read more

Wheat bread was not at all what i expected--it was that bread that you get at the grocery store (sandwich bread). Not what i expected especially since they're known for subs read more

Walked in 40 minutes before close and the guy with the pony tail and beard told me they were closed and then laughed in my face. Trash.

Ordered delivery it was freaky fast. The sandwiches we ordered were made right. The delivery driver was nice.

Jimmy John's won't deliver to address with fire numbers (ones that have letters in the address for example - 38W771. They are only 1.4 miles from our house. I would give it 5 stars if i could. Not a very smart business model. Get with time times. It dose not mean we are in the middle of a corn field! read more

I placed a order for delivery at 12:05 for lunch today. Usually this place is freaky fast. Today they were freaky horrible. My lunch was over and my delivery was still not made. Don't have a reputation for being fast if you're going to be slow. I had to send someone out there to the store to pick up my order . And to top it off my sandwich was soggy read more

Jimmy John's - Soggy bread - Sandwiches Near Me - Elgin, Illinois

After ordering regularly for several years, the service all of a sudden went downhill quick. Several incorrect orders and unprofessional management caused us to cross Elgin's JJ off of our list. I hope down the road they can fix their issues. read more

Slow, unprepared and unorganized! Ordered online and they didn't have a clue. Stood by the register and was never asked if they could help. Parking is a bitch too for pickup. Bad service, poor quality food and overall bad experience. If you want to see a waste of money on labor this is the spot. Will not be returning! read more

If i could i would give this place a no star rating. First of all they could not deliver to my house which is less than 5 minutes away. Second i ordered a turkey Tom and the guy told me all i can do was pick up. He further offered to put it on a wheat roll for me. I told him i wanted it the normal way on French. Once i arrived i had to find parking and once i went inside they tell me, there is no more French bread. Basically could have told me that over the phone while i places the order. Then he continued to argue with me saying he hat it's not his fault for accepting the order and then not being able to make it. This place is a joke. I would not visit this site again if my life depended on it read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. I called to place an order & they didn't answer the phone. When I went to the store, they were not welcoming & very rude while taking my order. read more

The manager of this location is an older guy, he's extremely rude and does not train his staff properly, they canceled my order 10-15 min before close because they were to lazy to make it, and told me the refund would Be posted in 3 days (lady who told me about this was also rude) 5 days in I call them, get the same rude lady who says the manager is also driving deliveries which is weird, are you a manager or a driver? (This is how understaffed they are) I tell the rude guy On the phone to leave the manager my number for him to call me, 2 hours later no call. I show up. And the manager is trying to avoid me not making eye contact, not even an apology or offer to make me something for the inconvenience, NOTHING not even a sorry or have a good day. Just stone faces silent the whole time with rude tone of voice. I explained to this loser that I spend 300 plus dollars with them in the last 2 months and I am no longer continuing my business. The manager didn't even blink an eye. He didn't care. Let me walk right out. read more

I don't know why people gave bad reviews because I have ordered twice now from the app and they have been timely, friendly and the sandwiches are full. The place is clean and provides good service. I'm going there again soon! read more

This was the worst value for a sub I have ever had. $7+ for a flat bun with 2 slices of cheese and 2 slices of roast beef. Worst value ever. read more

They have a large phone order, so they turn away walk in customers. I have never heard such a thing. Had to laugh!!

This is the second time I have ordered online and a little while later have been called to say that the driver is out but has deliveries in front of me. This is not what is expected from a place that delivers "freaky fast". This is unacceptable. This issue needs to be fixed. I cannot wait for them to be on Grubhub or DoorDash because they are much better at delivering. read more

Walked in didn't get acknowledged the young lady preparing sand which said it would be atleast 15 minutes to attend me for one sandwich so much for freaky fast! Need a whole new staff here won't be coming back here anymore read more

We live within walking distance and frequent Jimmy Johns often. First, their staff is well trained. From the moment you walk in the door they make you feel welcome and appreciated. They are very helpful when we come in unprepared and when we ask they help us with information so we can quickly make a decision. They quickly bring our account up and voluntarily let us know if we have earned a free product. They are; as the commercial says; most often freaky fast in how quickly they put a sandwich together - often before we can reach the end of the counter to grab and fill our drinks. The sandwiches are great (including any special instructions we may have expressed when ordering). They have many options on chips and drinks (free refills of course). I give them a 10+ in their service and will continue to frequent the establishment - great job guys!! read more

Person making sandwiches wasn't wearing her mask properly however was extremely rude to anyone who came in without one on. Completely ignored me when I asked repeatedly why she is making sandwiches without it but enforcing it to the customers coming in to order (no eating allowed inside. Nor would she tell me her name. Just stood there. I was disgusted and threw both sandwiches away. Glad I paid so much just to eat a bag of chips. First visit to this location and my last. read more

Don't order online! They don't make your sandwich until you get there. Ordered online and watched everybody in line get their sandwiches. 45 min from order to getting food. Freaky something but definitely not freaky fast. read more

The guys and gals that run this place never fail to go above and beyond to make my sandwiches "freaky fast". I might also like to add they're "freaky friendly" and never fail to thank me for stopping in. Never had a bad experience at a Jimmy Johns, but this is the closest one to my apartment. read more
