I was referred here after my devastating car accident for treatment. Having so many injuries pile up from a shocking blow can certainly leave your body in shambles. Luckily I found Dr. Jimenez and have been receiving the therapy I need. The staff is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They really go over and beyond to cater to their patients. Not only do they offer a variety of therapeutic rehabilitation services but they also offer plenty of self-elected cosmetic procedures promoting wellness and youth. The equipment here is all top notch and very few medical spas offer the wide range of services that Dr. Jimenez and his staff specialize in. I am visiting South Beach for a mental health break and booked a Swedish Massage through Groupon. When I arrived I was given a clipboard to complete my medical history. On the questionnaire I was asked the reason for my massage and points of interest. I stated I wanted a relaxing massage. What I received wasn't that. I mean, the masseur was good at what she did but, I wasn't there for a deep tissue massage. When the massage was light it was most definitely relaxing. But when it wasn't light I was it was the opposite. My suggestion to the company is to focus on the questionnaire and give the client what they asked for in the future please. read more

Here's another update on my review. The original one was in 2014, then in 2017. The MAJOR update is that they no longer use the loud alarm clocks to end the massage session. This is certainly a place that is focused on listening to clients and improving. Also, I finally had a couple's massage and it was great. I totally recommend this place. The ONLY reason they still can't get 5 starts, is totally out of their control and that is because of their neighbors upstairs which truly make a whole lot of noise (sounds like a bowling alley crossed with a construction site but it's just a little boy that runs around in the apartment upstairs and seems to throw lots of stuff around). If you go during work hours it appears that the people in the apartment are not their and you can totally enjoy a 5 STAR experience but I haven't been able to go during that time so I feel obligated to put this in my comments and rating. They are prompt and and timely respecting your time and appointment. They provide delicious coffee. They smile when they greet you at the desk. The place is clean and pretty. Had a great massage from Vera. I purchased a Groupon deal for a hour long Swedish massage. Getting an appointment was a simple process. Receptionist was kind and pleasant. Massage started a few minutes late but its all good. I left feeling wonderful and Vera worked out some kinks in my back as well as my legs. Now keep in mind Vera does not speak English and I dont speak Spanish except for a few words but if you have wits about yourself you can understand her instructions. Just have some patience. Bought a 1 hour groupon massage and received a 40 minute massage instead. I complained but they didn't care. The therapist didn't care and kept walking outside in the middle of the massage. Horrible. Just horrible. My mother and I purchased the couples massage/sauna on Groupon to try it out. When we arrived we were asked to fill out some paperwork. When we were done my mom made herself some coffee. She wasn't even halfway done with her coffee when one of the massage therapists called us in, but when she saw my mother drinking coffee she just stood there waiting for her to finish, making her feel rushed. Not the best start. She took us back to where the sauna is and explained the next steps. She then said we needed to get undressed and get in the sauna because this whole process is timed, once again making us feel rushed. After the sauna came the shower. I grabbed one of the towels provided to dry myself off, which was just big enough to dry a chihuahua..... We then went into the massage room. The therapists didn't even introduce themselves or talk to us, they just began to massage us with cold oil. Did I mention they wear gloves during the whole massage...? Also, my massage therapist voiced her opinion that she was not too happy to massage me, and would rather massage my mom, because I'm too petite... Lol. I do enjoy a deep tissue massage, but this woman went overboard. Aside from her hands, she used her forearms and elbows to "remove" my knots. It was SO painful. After this massage I am in so much pain I had to take a strong painkiller. Needless to say, never again. read more

I had several treatments with Martha, she was always an average of 20-45 min late for every appointment. Forget about complaining, she gets everything extremely personal and will talk for hours to justified herself. She sold me a $200 prescription cream from another patient, the cream was old and didn't have any effect on my skin. She also did a laser and burned my upper eyebrow, but she refused to acknowledge it, she went as far as to say she believed I was lying and that maybe I burned the eyebrow somewhere's else. ?? There's no reason for me to lie about it, I wasn't asking her for a refund, just concern that the hair would grow back... but she went into full histeria. I have several pending treatments that I have already paid for (bought as package) but unfortunately I won't be going back, my time and peace of mind are worth much more. read more

When we went to the sauna, which is very tiny - 2 person max, another lady asked us again if we wanted water and finally got a bottle. After the sauna, we showered and went into another small room with two massage tables - I timed the massage and it was only 40 minutes !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so disappointed and felt yipped! Went for a one-hour "Swedish Massage". Found it was very easy to get a last minute appointment. Immediately upon entering, I was offered water, coffee, and cookies, while I filled out the initial paperwork. The facilities are nothing special, very plain, but clean and functional. The majority of the staff was speaking Spanish, and when I entered the treatment room, I was told to disrobe only in Spanish. Positives: The massage was very simple, with calm music and ambient lighting. The masseuse set a timer, and made sure the treatment was fifty-five minutes long, so I didn't worry about being shorted on time. even though we started about 10 minutes late. She worked on my whole body, and while there really wasn't much pressure, I felt relaxed at the end. Negatives: The masseuse wore gloves the entire time, which was a little unnerving, and the feel of plastic on my skin the entire time was not comforting. As others have mentioned, they go way overboard on the lotion. I was covered with it by the end, as were the sheets; and the lotion was cold! I had goosebumps every time she put more on. Overall, the massage was satisfactory. I had a Groupon, so I knew not to expect five star treatment, but the oddness of the gloves and the massive amounts of lotion may defer me from returning. read more

The thing is, I want to trust a licensed medical practitioner to allow the expert to fix me, but it's only after many months of tri- and bi-weekly visits that I realized I was not improving and Dr. Mykel Jimenez was merely after the money. I'm still trying to get real help with my daily neck pain four years later. When I visited this office to get a copy of my records they charged me $25! This was after giving them my consent to treat me like a number and them making thousands off me via my insurance plan. I just got the WORST "massage" of my life here. Let's talk about why it was so freaking terrible: - Music was too fast - Massage oil was the cheapest I've ever seen or smelled - Thin walls so you could hear everything in the hallway and other rooms - The masseuse didn't know what she was doing Allow me to elaborate on the last point: she went ridiculously fast (even after i asked her to slow down), she mostly lightly rubbed my body parts back and forth as opposed to doing anything of substance, and very notably, her energy was fully chaotic. I don't know what that masseuse's deal is, but I had to ask her to cut it short (at which point she blamed me for not breathing fully - honey, if you're being rough with my body, I'm obviously not going to be able to relax!). I came out more stressed than I'd been in weeks (and I've never ever before been stressed during or after a massage). I even felt like crying once it was over. I am frazzled and very frustrated. And yet I left a $10 tip for her because I got a Groupon and felt bad that she might not get paid at all for the terrible job she just did (I'm a former freelancer, so I always tip). I had to walk to a bar called The Mighty immediately after to get a drink because I am freaking out. This has never happened to me before. Was looking into getting my first massage and after researching a few different locations, I purchased a Groupon for a 60 min massage and 20 min in the infrared sauna. I'm usually not a fan of saunas but I didn't want to get out of this one. I was then led to the bathroom to rinse off and change into my robe. My massage was very relaxing and nice. She didn't speak English but I know enough Spanish to get me by. Since it was my first massage I guest she didn't' want to be too hard but I would have liked more pressure and kneading. I absolutely love it. The chiropractor Dr. Jimenez is great and so is his team. The atmosphere is clean, friendly, and organized. The massages were carried out well and the sauna environment was impressive. The youngest receptionist they have is extremely friendly and she truly makes you feel welcome. Nevertheless, positive things can be said about the entire supporting team. They always make sure you feel comfortable and are well hydrated before and after therapy. The couples massage is also excellent and the environment is very peaceful. My only advice for that part is to have the heads of the massage tables adjacent. I originally thought the use of gloves during the massage was slightly cold but you get used to it and it doesn't interfere with the experience. For the best pressure, pick Yanirez (not sure if I spelled it right), she was awesome, funny, and very pleasant! I have been there three times and I will continue to go weekly for massages and therapy. read more

Unfortunately, this was a poor experience. My boyfriend and I went for a couple's massage, but our experience was a real bummer. We were first escorted back to the infrared sauna, which was great, but we weren't told how long we would be in there. So we did grow a little antsy after a while. Then they "massage therapists"* led us to a tiny bathroom for us to shower because of the sweat from our sauna. It was very awkward, not at all romantic. Finally, it was time for our massage. We had filled out information sheets upon arrival that had our personal tense areas and preferred amount of pressure. These seemed to be ignored completely. There was no consultation period beforehand like I am used to with a massage. Our "therapists" started at our feet, which I haven't experienced before and didn't really care for. My "therapist" seemed to put pressure in all the wrong places, did not seem to know how to work out knots, and at one point was just tapping her fingers along my back. There was an excessive amount of oil being used and at the end she was tracing my face with her fingers (which was awkward, not relaxing). I could hear my boyfriend's frustration in his breathing after his therapist had gotten snarky with more than once. Once they were finished, I just started laughing. I told him we would share our feelings about the massage once we got to the car. Where we both cracked up and felt that it was the worst massage we had ever experienced. But you get what you pay for... As a tip: do not book the couple's massage if you are not very comfortable with your partner. The sauna is room enough for two, but that's it. If you have not seen you partner sitting, sweaty, and naked, this may not be for you. We have been together for a couple of years, so no biggie. But, not an activity for the newly dating or non-couples. *In quotations because I believe these employees have no formal training in massage. There was no real technique being used. read more

Including the bathrooms. The ladies who gave us the massage , i believe their names were Yudi & Andrea , were amazing! Love it here. Dr Jimenez is very informative and helpful. I had a flare up from a previous injury and within a few weeks of visits the pain subsided. They did everything they could to treat and give me therapy. I've also bout a massage here which was very relaxing and got all the tension out of my muscles. The stretch zone is also great, if you have problems with flexibility this is a great place to start. I'm pretty flexible and even attending this session was amazing and really showed me areas in my body that are right and need more stretching. My first visit was for the incredible Groupon offered, 20 minutes in the sauna and a couples massage. The staff was very friendly and my massage therapist really worked hard to get rid of all my knots. When I found out they take my insurance I've been visiting them twice a week. Dr. Jimenez uses a variety of treatment modalities to help relieve my back pain, neck pain, and TMJ. My insurance covers the sauna, massages, and therapy. I've never been so excited to visit a Dr.'s office! As someone else mentioned; Natalie at the front desk, Yanellis the massage therapist, and Dr. Jimenez always make you feel welcome. It's amazing what one place has to offer; sauna, massages, facials, acupuncture, and stretching to name a few. I've even bought a couple friends the massage Groupon! Save your time and money!!!! The worst massage of my entire life. It must have been this guys first massage ever because he clearly had no idea what he was doing. I couldn't wait for the hour to end after the first 5 minutes. It felt like he was just rubbing lotion on me with no technique whatsoever. The gloves were annoying too. I left with neck pain I never had before. I can't turn it at all. I've gotten about 3 massages before and I never thought that a massage could actually not be good, especially for a good deal. His staff is awesome, you get a complimentary massage in tense areas with each adjustment by a great massage therapist and Angie at the front is very helpful. I've seen a loooot of chiropractors (roughly 15 in three different states) and he is one of the best by far. You know that feeling when you're getting a GOOOD massage and you fall into a daze and your eyes start rolling back?? Well I didn't get that feeling here! I didn't even get to RELAX! Went in for the 20-min sauna and 60-min couples massage (Groupon). Upon arrival I was offered water and coffee but being that I wanted to get into "relax" mode I asked if they had wine. The girl comes back with a tiny plastic cup. I'm thinking, "Honey, I want to RELAX not rinse my mouth". Then she mentions that its Arbor Mist wine. Again, I'm thinking, "Honey, I want to RELAX not rinse my mouth." Whatever, I drank the shot and off to the sauna we went... I'm a bit claustrophobic so while others may describe this SMALL sauna as being "nice and intimate" I saw it more as an extra large coffin. That being said, I didn't get to RELAX in there. The music and colorful laser beams didn't help much either. We got ushered out before our 20 minutes were over but no complaints here- I was ready for my massage. The room made me feel more like I was about to get a physical exam rather than a massage. The massage therapists weren't very welcoming either- not one of them introduced themselves, ask us what type of massage we preferred, or if we have any specific areas that needed more attention. 10 minutes into my "relaxation" my masseuse interrupts to ask me if I have any problematic areas. Really? I answer him but it obviously fell into deaf ears because he never applied extra pressure in those areas. A few minutes later I noticed the door kept shaking. As bad as I tried to concentrate on the "relaxing" music, I couldn't help but focus on this damn door along with other banging noises. Annoyed, I finally asked what all the sound effects were and (apparently) the room door rattles because of the AC (and whenever the front door opens) and the other noises were coming from the apartments upstairs. But honestly, if the massage was GOOD, I would've been in a daze and not been able to hear ANYthing. The massage was very weak and ultimately that's what ruined the whole experience for me. I get that its not an actual "spa" so I shouldn't have expected the "works" but if they're going to advertise a heavenly atmosphere and experience then that's exactly what they should deliver. This place is disgusting. The "spa" smells like a bingo hall because there is a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. The massage therapist did not speak English and I was informed that this was not a requirement of the job. I have medical issues that need to be communicated in my native language which is English. I tried to have the massage but the masseuse was very rude and unable to communicate. I left 10 minutes into the massage due to my concern that this masseuse would injure me and harm me. We bought the Groupon for a couple's massage and sauna. They offer you tea, coffee and water right as you walk in, which was nice during our 15 minute wait. The sauna was nice and intimate, but the music choice and the multi color lighting wasn't my favorite. The massage felt like someone was just putting lotion on me and rubbing it in. If you have some knots to work out or like deep pressure then this is not the place for you. She then puts on some medical gloves and dumps a bottle of lotion on me.... Then proceeds to rub it everywhere, no pressure at all. I ask for pressure multiple times but it isn't applied at all. Got a groupon for a couples massage for me and my boyfriend... Massage was mediocre at best. The massage was supposed to be 60 minutes but it was actually only 45 minutes. The ladys took a very long time to get in the room and start the massage which was rather annoying. They also dont talk english. They dont ask you where to focus on or if the pressure is too much or too little. They massage every inch of you body including fingers and toes. I did not want this, i wanted them to focus on my shoulders and back. My fingers did not need to be massaged lol. I got a couples massage with my boyfriend I would recommend this place I was greet and offered water as soon as I walked in . we were later on led to the sauna after we were done they walked us to a bathroom to Rinse after the sauna. one of the massage therapist was late and we were offered complementary champagne while we waited . my massage was terrific I can't complain she did an amazing job. but my boyfriend told me his massage could of been better ,his massage therapist was putting to much pressure on points he never mentioned or marked .i think he should of been more attentive and asked since my boyfriend has a bad shoulder. besides that it was a pleasant experience and something relaxing to do as a couple if you're looking for a couples massage and you're looking into buying a groupon I would totally recommend this place. read more

First besides the paperwork we were not asked by the women giving the massage what were our trouble issues. But I guess that wouldn't matter as these women had no skill or technique to even perform a massage. It was pure rubbing with globes and pulling of legs and arms with no application of pressure. To add insult to injury, the lady giving me the massage stopped at 35 min and started taking out the garbage. It was the WORST 35 minutes of my life anyways but I paid for an hour!!!
