Black Owned Business for the win!…read more I am very well pleased with the work and results of this business. They were hired to plant a few plants in my front yard for curb appeal because I'm selling my home. It's February 2021... And just snowed. What can I say? I'm stubborn and impatient. Nonetheless, Mr. Fields was willing to meet my needs and give me more suggestions to make the look complete and care for the newly planted plants in the middle of winter. His suggestions didn't feel like just an upsell to gain money, but like he was trying to present me with what made sense for someone selling a home and he was correct. He didn't overcharge me and it looks better than I could have imagined. 11 years living here with very little landscaping work done and now my house looks so good I almost want to stay in it!! I'll be calling them back to do my backyard before putting my home on the market next month. We were going to do it ourselves but after seeing their thorough work please take this off my hands! I feel great knowing it'll get done as thoroughly as I would do it if I could duplicate myself. Plus the owner was awesome and so were the workers. Very chill, informed, committed, and focused. My yard looks like a Field of Dreams :)

I decided to go through Yelp to find a company and found Alston Landscaping. I gave them a call and they came out the next day to look at my lawn. The owner was very knowledgeable and offered his recommendations for getting my grass healthy and looking nice. I found their rates to be affordable and they don't lock you into a contract. They also have outstanding customer service; they called me to discuss my satisfaction with the work and I really appreciated the personal touch. They truly value their work and their customers.

My first mowing was scheduled for 3 days after I first contacted the company, which is awesome. I was upfront with them about the height of my grass (I was way overdue for a mowing), and they provided me the initial fee charge (very reasonable) which I was able to pay via PayPal. Lawn care is usually a cash/check business, so I was happy to be able to take care of this online as that is my preferred payment method. On the day of my appointment, I can home to freshly cut grass with a well manicured edge. I will definitely be enlisting their services again.

Even though it sounded like a small job, it required several steps and I didn't have the time with my hectic work schedule. Kevin responded quickly and gave me a very reasonable quote. He and his crew came out the same day and did an excellent job repairing our steps. I was so pleased with their work that I hired them again to fix the drainage area in front of our garage. The previous company had done a poor job, leaving the surrounding concrete cracked. Once again, Kevin provided a fair quote and he and his team delivered high‑quality work. Since they did such a great job eac, I hired Kevin a third time -- this time to install a retaining wall around one of our front yard trees. As expected, he and his crew did an amazing job. Kevin is reliable, fair, and takes pride in his work. I highly recommend All Stones & Landscaping for any stonework or landscaping needs.

I went in looking for a few low maintenance plants and Cole walked me through several options with real care and attention. I picked up a Hoya Compacta Hindu Rope, a ZZ plant, a Philodendron Lemon Neon, a Bromeliad, a Crassula Jade, an annual, and a six inch Euphorbia Firestick cactus. Every plant looked healthy and well cared for. Since it was a quiet Wednesday morning, I got very personalized attention, but honestly the service here is always excellent even when the store is busy. The staff makes every customer feel valued, no matter how many people are in the shop. The prices are higher than big box stores, but the quality and care of the plants make it worth it. This is easily one of my favorite plant shops in DC and I always leave feeling excited about my new plants. Thank you again to Cole for the great recommendations and wonderful customer service.
