We just purchased our fourth vehicle from this dealership. Though there's a bit of a drive from Marietta, the selection and value is tremendous. Mark Bradley is our go to guy in sales, and if you require financial assistance, Sharon is fantastic. If you are tired of crazy forced add-ons , snobby sales people and dealerships that won't deal in Cobb County, check these guys out. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I was in an accident and took my 2014 Terrain to the collision center for repairs for a rebuilt left side bumper and some passenger door damage. For one, it took almost 6 weeks to fix just bumper damage and a door panel. For two, not ONCE did they call me with an update. I had to call every single time and they continued to make excuses with me telling me the car would be ready the next day or the end of the week and time just kept going with ZERO UPDATES. Finally when I did get the car back, the work looked RUSHED and was VERY BADLY DONE. Just look at the pictures. Inside above tire was ruffled all the way around. And the bumper is not even all the way on! Very lazy work. Terrible customer service experience. Just awful all around. read more

Horrible experience with the unservice department. I randomly selected this joint, simply based on logistics. read more

Bought a 2020 GMC Canyon Denali in July. It quit running and had to be towed twice. The third time took it to another dealer. Still doesn't run. Probably going to send up in court. read more

Service dept. over charged for service. Didn't add Def it was left in my rear seat. Wouldn't rotate and balance tires. Then was told it would be $85 to install a license plate holder. read more

Purchased a 2024 Yukon Denali over Mother's Day weekend 2024. Great sales transaction in and out. Ordered all weather mats for the Yukon a few weeks later. The rear cargo liner was on back order so not exactly sure when I got my hands on that. However, it's been longer than the hardman 15 day return policy maybe 45 days. (I learned of that when I tried to return the rear cargo liner). The rear cargo liner is a poor design doesn't stay put. Moved around even when installed with velco attachments. I've got 3k miles on my yukon and the cargo liner was basically new. Through this transaction it's clear this business only cares about the bottom dollar and NOT the customer! I will never step foot on that property again even when it comes to my first service that's free. I'll pay if needed and take it somewhere else. Great job on loosing a repeat customer over a poorly designed 200$ cargo liner! Off to Jim Ellis GMC I go! read more

Worked with Bob Sierra on an order for a 2025 GMC Yukon XL. He mentioned that they had one in my configuration already on order with GMC so I put down my deposit on it. After doing some research with GMs help, turns out that the one that they had on order was not the XL model. Reached out to Bob to confirm, never once did he apologize or acknowledge the screw up. I asked him to check when they would have another build slot available and let me know. In the mean time, let me know when the non-XL model comes in so we can look at it and see if it would fit our needs. After finding out that the vehicle had been delivered to the Jim Hardman, I reached out to Bob again to verify this and to come see it and he informed me that it was already sold. They sold the vehicle that I had a deposit on to another customer. Once again no acknowledgement or apologies, no concern whatsoever over the screwup. No attempts to make it right. Worst car buying experience ever. read more

Additional update - I got several calls from Jim Hardman based upon my review (see below) and they were very willing to do what it takes to make me happy, so they will be writing up a check to me for all of the expense of the sir filter and diagnostic check. Bought a Cadillac SRX luxury used vehicle last Saturday. After one day, the navigation stopped working. Called another dealership in my area to have it serviced. I contacted Jim Hardman about the navigation system not working. They haven't contacted me back. I believe they are seeing me as a customer who will not be a repeat buyer since I do not live in the Update: also got a check engine light after first week of purchasing the car. According to Richard Kay Chevrolet in Anderson, SC, the air filter needs to be changed and that is triggering the check engine light. They also said that this is unusual for a dealership not changing dirty air filters when selling used vehicles. read more

Stopped in to Jim Hardman GMC Service Dept to ask a few questions about my 2023 GMC Sierra, ( purchased at a different Dealer) Was greeted by Robbie. Told him my questions, he said he could make an appointment for me. I said ok. He then said wait I'll see if I can get a technician. He brought Adam over, He was able to answer all my questions on the spot. Great service. They have got a new customer. read more

I read your response to my review and am really shocked that you could not find any record of me being there. I doubled checked the phone number listed and confirmed that I have the correct dealer. In fact there is no Jim Hartman in Douglas Ga. I ASSURE YOU, I WAS THERE AND SPENT TWO HOURS GOING THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCEDURE OF TEST DRIVING AND GETTING A PRICE QUOTE. RESPONDING SAYING THAT I WAS NOT THERE IS A UNIQUE WAY OF GETTING RID OF A BAD REVIEW. I asked numerous times in the last few days to speak to the owner. I really do not know what is so hard about him personally calling back. Responding like that made the experience that much worse. read more

If you want the worst car buying experience of your life, go to Jim hard man Buick in Gainesville They think they are doing you a favor by letting you walk in the dealership. No one has any ambition and shows no interest. They actually lie to your face. A call to the general manager is totally useless. We can see why the dealership is bad as it is. A call to the owner is useless as he didn't have the respect to call you back. Don't make the same mistake we did. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE DEALERSHIP This is how car salesmen get the bad reputation. read more

Talked with salesman Michael about a used Sierra that had very low mileage. We were looking for a larger vehicle with all the bells and whistles. He showed us a used 2018 with mileage under 20k. It looked pristine. We had done our homework and knew the truck had been priced well. There wasn't a lot of wiggle room and knew this up front. We got a very fair deal and everyone at the dealership were pleasant and professional. We decided to take the deal and brought home a superb vehicle that we can use for years to come by Janos Jim Hardman Buick and GMC. read more

Brought my truck in for an oil change , tire rotation, replace broken rear light lens and a brake job. Tommy found that there was a recall they could do while they had the truck. They gave me a ride back to our house and picked me up when it was done. I found out that there were leaking seals they found and the dealer replaced them under warranty. Finally, I thought that the cost was reasonable. Nothing but good things to way about Jim Hardman Buick GMC service department. Highly recommend. read more

False advertisement. They DO NOT check your break pads during an oil change. Horrible customer service. Jeff was not helpful what's so ever. I've been going there for 7 years and no one had ever mentioned anything to me about my break pads. On a Saturday I had an appointment for an oil change. Upon arriving I ask Jeff to let me know how my break pads are. After they complete the oil change they tell me I'm at 3mm. I go ahead and make an appointment to get them changed that same week (Wednesday). The day of that appointment we dropped off my vehicle and Jeff calls to tell me I will need rotos as well. Now my balance would be double making it $500+ taxes. I was not happy. I asked Jeff why no one ever informed me when my break pads were at 5mm or even 4mm. Now I'm having to come out of pocket even more money because they never did they're job in informing me that I would be needing break pads soon. He could not give me a solid answer. He never apologized nor did he attempt or even try to do anything for us despite the huge inconvenience due to people not doing their job. We canceled the service and decided to take our business somewhere else. When we went back to pick up my car, Jeff informed my husband that the break pads were actually at 5mm. That supposedly Saturday when we got the oil change, the tech was new and didn't measure correctly. This was baloney. The next day we took it to get break pads and rotors elsewhere and we asked how are break pads were and they were at 2-3mm. After being loyal customers for 7 years with 2 vehicles, we will no longer be taking our business to a place that lies to its customers and falsely advertises that they check your breaks along with an oil change. They probably don't even do a tire rotation either. read more

Bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2016 2500 Denali truck. The Salesman Josh and the Business Manager are rock stars. The Management/Service Department originally messed-up on some details of the deal, (We all know The Devil is in the details) but stepped-up to the plate and made it more than right. VERY HONORABLE PEOPLE HERE! They pay attention to you, the details of your deal and your vehicle! read more

Special Note: This review will be for the, "Body Shop" only as I have not bought a vehicle from them or ever used their repair service. Jim Hardman's BODY SHOP is awesome and unfortunately I know this since two of my vehicles have been there with no thanks to the people who hit them! The work quality is excellent, the service people are excellent, and they actually work VERY well with all insures and rental agencies! Fast, accurate, and prompt delivery too! Hardman"s body shop does it right as can be attested from the other dealers who send their cars/truck here for repair! They service all makes so don't be afraid if you drive a competing brand, just bring it to them and sit back and relax. read more

Just had my bumper fixed after another motorist decided playing with his phone was more important than watching traffic. Took my car to Jim Hardman GMC Buick collision center. From the front desk to the garage was all very professional, considerate and easy to work with during whole ordeal. I even got my car back five days before I was expecting to be back and it looks better than new! And whoever cleans the cars, WOW! Very positive experience all around. Great job!! read more

I bought a Terrain Denali form Jim Ellis in 2013. I had regular service at Hardman GMC in Gainesville, with the last oil change at 96,369 miles. The check engine oil light came on at 100, 342 miles, just after driving 3973 miles after the last oil change. Service at Hardman GMC changed oil, added a restorer, ordered sensors, replaced them, delaying diagnosis for over a month, all the while telling me it was ok to drive if I checked the oil. Now it needs a new engine. Jim Ellis is trying to get GM to honor the warranty. I haven't had any response from Jim Ellis service, except for an offer to pay 10% of an engine. I will continue to post, hopefully with GMC doing the right thing. A car engine should last longer than 100,342 miles. read more

Very attentive service everytime. Good workmanship and the prices seem reasonable.

Very disappointed with the service after the sale. Terrible communication and very little help regarding getting the title and tag after we purchased our new car. If you say you are going to call somebody back then please do it. Due to Mark Bradley's poor communication skills I have now been to the tag office 7 times in the past 45 days and my tag is still not ready even after he told me it should only take 2 weeks. I regret buying a car from this dealership. Love my car, but very unhappy that they made any money off of me from the deal. They are very undeserving. read more

I made an appointment to have them do some warranty work on my wife's car that they said would take "4, maybe 5 days" and they've had it for over 3 weeks now! In that time they've told me they'd call right back with an update 10 times and have never once called me back, ever. They refuse to give me a loaner car because "they are all in use right now" and we have been getting by with one car for 2 weeks longer than expected thus far. I've spoken to 5 different people there, and left a message for the service manager who has also not called me back and they still have my car! They are the most unprofessional business I've ever dealt with and I've run across some doozies before! I would highly NOT recommend ever using them for anything! read more

Bought a truck from this dealership and was told I was getting the best pricing possible only to find out after I had taken delivery that the price had been discounted by $4000.00??? Not the best way to be doing business. Have contacted GM and they gave me a name of some one to call. Contacted them but have not heard back ...Poor business. I have to admit, the sales team of Jody and Bobby at Jim Hardman GMC in Gainesville hit another grand slam on the recent purchase of my brand new, 2018 GMC 2500HD Denali 4x4. The purchasing experience was seamless and once we came to an agreement on the final pricing, all I had to do was walk in, sign the loan paperwork, and drive out with my new truck. BEST SALES & SERVICE ANYWHERE IN NORTH GEORGIA!! We have been doing business with Jim Hardman since 1995. We moved here, drove to Gainesville, Paid cash for a 1995 GMC Sonoma truck and a Buick LeSabre and left the lot totally satisfied. We have since purchased 7 Buick's from Jim Hardman and it would be the only place for me to buy a Buick. Their service department, Matt Rogers, is by far the most efficient, polite young man we have ever dealt with. It is because of him we drive all the way from Baldwin to Gainesville just to have our oil changed. Excellent, honest care every time. The sales department, Dennis Thadman is one of the best. He is a non-pressure salesman, he knows his cars and cares about each sale. Excellent dealership. Mr. Jim Hardman should be proud of his whole team, from Finance to check out, top of the line for us.. Barb & Jim Johns, Baldwin, GA read more

Since there is no separate post for the service department, I'll post my review here. I have zero trust for their service. My parents have purchased several cars from here so I'd expect good service when I take my car in. I took in my 2002 GMC Yukon for squeaking sound while breaking, and was told nothing was wrong. 3 months later I returned with a grinding sound... Had to replace all 4 break pads and rotors (a proper diagnosis could have spared the rotor work). Took it back in a few months later for check engine light. Spent $1200 on new fuel pump, and said everything else looked good.... 2 weeks later found out I needed new catalytic converter, new hoses and new radiator. Did the service group even check out the rest of the car. Needless to say, I stopped going here. This place is going downhill. read more

Worst experience ever. I feel that I was ripped off. The issue I had when I took my vehicle in, when I picked it up still had the problem. Talk to service manager and supervisor, both agreed that I still had the same original problem. I had to pay a deductible as well as the warranty paid them for work that wasn't needed. In the end I was told that my warranty would not cover the ACTUAL work that was needed. I wAs totally unhappy would not recommend my worst enemy to this dealership for service! read more

I would give this place less than a star if I could. The salesman I was working with was very just sly about everything he did. I had asked him to run the numbers on two different trucks I was interested in and he decided he was just gonna start my paper work and financing on the truck they had on the lot for the longest time. Tried to do their financing through three different places without asking me and each place dinged my credit. I felt like they were dishonest and what the trucks were listed as mileage wise online and what they actually were on the truck was a huge difference. Shady dealership and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

I bought a 2017 GMC Sierra from Jim Hardman. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had buying a vehicle. I worked with Dennis and the entire process was very simple and easy. If you buy a car from this place please don't try and get it services here unless it is under warranty. Dealership did what they said. Salesman Jody Bahin was great. Would buy again from them.

Very poor service, bought a $60,000 truck from these people, my wife was unloading our old truck with a box she brought with us and the finance lady accused my wife of stealing box out of her office while we were in there signing the paperwork. She brought this attention to salesman as we were fixing to pull away. Very distasteful of the woman and humiliating for my wife, if paperwork had no just been completed I would have walked away from the truck I came to buy. Poor service for oil changes, plan on being there 3 hours at least and be given the run around the entire time. read more

If you enjoy being frustrated, angry, lied to, and just in general annoyed by incompetence then this is the dealership for you. I found a truck online and handled many of the details over the phone before driving to Georgia as I'm from of state. When I went to drive it the next day three attention lights came on- when I called I was told that this was because they had changed the battery and since no codes came up It seemed legit - key word seemed - after correcting a transmission problem, speed sensor and EGR valve not to mention six hundred dollars later - I can only hope that it is finally fixed. And did I mention the nightmare that paperwork was???? Bottom line - NEVER AGAIN! P.S. Salesman must have sold snake oil in another life!! read more

purchased vehicle late 2015. Sales person was nice, but the Finance woman was rude and very condescending to us, she didn't have time for us, especially since we had our own financing and she wasn't making any money on us. read more

My car is STILL currently in the shop...3 weeks later. The body shop personnel have been amazing. Great customer service and communication. The service department however, is EXTREMELY lacking in all areas. Poor customer service, condescending, poor communication, no sense of urgency, etc, etc, etc. I went by this morning to communicate directly with the service manager to see what is taking so long. The needed parts were sitting over in the body shop, and the manager informed me (multiple times and as though he were speaking to a mentally impaired person) that as soon as they moved the parts from 'here to here' (indicated from the body shop to the service department...approx. 50 feet), that they would get started on my car. When I informed him that my car had already been there for 3 WEEKS, he said it was 'definitely at the top of the list'. This was said as 3 other vehicles were lifted up and being worked on while mine was still firmly on the ground. (Perhaps these cars have been here longer than mine?!?!?). UNACCEPTABLE....hopefully will get my car back before 2014. BEWARE!!! read more
