First things first, I wish I could give a 10+ star rating for the unbelievable attention and care I was shown from the moment I walked in, till the minute I drove away. I'm a grandmother who found myself in one of those, "I cannot believe this is happening" moments, while heading back home with my 9yr old granddaughter in tow. Just as we started down the road towards the interstate, my car started losing power each time I would try to accelerate, my cruise control stopped working and my tail lights would stay on after turning off the car. I had the return time planned so as to be home before dark since my vision is less than optimal at night. By the Grace of God a kind women referred me to, "Hell On Wheels Garage" with the two most important things I needed to hear, "They are Honest and won't take advantage of you! I walked in and was greeted by the sweetest woman who stopped what she was doing, put all of her attention on me while doing my best to accurately explain what was going on. She immediately jumped into action, grabbed one of those computer diagnostic gizmos, hooked it up to my car computer to see if there were any pending codes since none had shown on my panel. Out of the blue the owner (Thomas) came outside as we explained what was going on. I was stunned that neither of them told me they were booked up, since I could clearly see people and cars everywhere! He didn't hesitate a second before saying he wanted to drive the car hooked up to the diagnostic computer to see if something would flag a code while running. I rode with him and wouldn't you know it, nothing happened, the car ran perfectly and no codes came Up! Didn't know whether to be happy or furious at that point. When we got back, he checked all the connections under my hood making sure nothing had come lose, cleaned my air filter and said something I've never heard come out of ANY mechanics mouth in my 68yr.! He said he worries when he has to send someone on their way without having figured out what the issue was and asks them to take minute if they can to call him to let him know they made it home safely!!! Shame on me, but I was so exhausted by the time I got home I had totally forgotten and my husband called the next day to let them know we made it home. Not only would I feel 100% at peace referring anybody to this business, it's actually an honor and privilege to. I just wish we had them in my local area! I created a yelp account just so I could leave this review for everyone else to see. Thomas, the owner of Hell On Wheels Garage, did me a HUGE favor a few years ago, and he will always have my loyalty because of it. I needed a part replaced on an old vehicle of mine, and no one could help me get the part. NOT EVEN THE DEALERSHIP! I was asking around all of the local parts stores for the part that I needed, and they couldn't help find it either. One of the gentleman at Advanced Auto in Cleveland, GA recommended Thomas. He was at a different location behind a car dealership, and I went straight over to him. Thomas looked at my vehicle, and told me to give him a minute to grab something from his tool box. He came over and fixed my car within two minutes. HE DID NOT CHARGE ME A SINGLE CENT FOR THE REPAIR! He was just happy he could help someone out. I picked my truck up last Friday after I needed to have my clutch replaced. I am beyond satisfied with the work and time it took for them to get my truck back up and running!! The office staff, the mechanics, and the team at Hell On Wheels are such great people! It's hard to find a repair shop who you can trust these days. Thomas is by far the best mechanic in Cleveland Georgia or anywhere nearby. He has worked on several of our cars. He always does a wonderful job. He answers our questions. He doesn't treat us badly. He is professional and kind. He doesn't mans plain like do many others do. He has replaced a transmission in a Ford F-150 for us, he has worked on a Jeep Cherokee. He also fixed my Audi A4 Quattro after another so called mechanic just ruined it by not repairing it or replacing parts, but instead applying some kind of sealant and zip ties and lying and saying he did replace parts. Thomas has always been honest and fair with good quality work. I highly recommend him for his service and attention to detail. You will definitely get more for the value by using him. read more

Hell on wheels garage just saved me and my wife a lot of time and heartache. Long and short my wifes car just broke down, 150 miles from home. Every mechanic shop in Cleveland GA had shut down, for the day. The local Auto Zone called Hell on wheels to see if they could help. The owner Thomas said he would stay. Within less than hour he had the part and the car fixed. We cannot thank you enough. I would like to add Thomas did not charge us any extra for the work. Where in most cases a mechanic would have taken advantage of a woman and her situation, Thomas was very honorable and kind. I highly recommend. In fact my son is attending the University of Piedmont in August we will be using hell on wheels for all his automotive needs. read more

Great group of people here! I traveled to Helen, Ga for a 5-day vacation, and my GMC diesel 3500 ran into some trouble on the way. I called around, and the neighboring city's GMC dealer highly recommended the shop for my convenience. The owner was quick to help and diagnose the issue to get parts on the way. He was able to fix my truck within a very narrow window before I had to return to Virginia on that Sunday. What's impressive was the willingness to help, professionalism, and the friendliness of the entire shop. My situation could have left me stranded for a week waiting on an appointment or even been taken advantage of with pricing. Not this Garage, Highly recommended! read more

We were on vacation from Florida when our radiator decided 248k miles was its last. It was Dec 27 and we were less than a mile from Hell on Wheels. I called and Thomas answered and said bring it over.They checked it out and radiator was leaking everywhere. Within 2.5 hours we drove out with new radiator water pump and hoses and are now back safe at home in S Florida. Thanks to the folks at Hell on Wheels for saving our trip and getting us home safe and on time, even on the week between Christmas and New Years.
