The ambiance is dimly lit with the industrial style vibe throughout. There was a DJ playing pop music which was mixed with the music videos that displayed on the flat screen TVs. The music selection had all the trendy vibes from the past and present. However, it is LOUD in there. lol You will be borderline yelling to have a conversation at your table. The service was good enough. You have to waive down the servers to order your drinks. The bar was quick with getting them to your table and they were pretty tasty. The signature cocktails on their drink menu were put together well. None of our cocktail glasses were cleared from our table for the 2 hours we were drinking and catching up. It was funny to us. =) We ordered some tacos which came out quickly and were pretty tasty overall. Nice work kitchen. I would return for the cocktails as the pricing was fair and they came out quickly. Cheers!

Anyway, the waitress was very accomodating when we requested to be transfered inside. This isn't our first time dining at Tipsy Pig but our first time at this specific location. We ordered the Nachos, Pork Belly, and Pares. All were really good as usual. However, the Frozen Iced Tea tasted different than what we're used to. It's not really bad per-se but it's just not how we were expecting the taste to be like.

The dining area is one open room with plenty of tables ready to house parties of 6+ easily. There were plenty of those on our visit. The food is truly authentic Filipino cuisine with a modern twist. One unforgettable highlight for me: you can sample the Sinigang broth before they prepare the dish, so it's perfectly adjusted to your taste. Fantastic! I looove that cheese is added to dishes in Filipino restaurants that I wouldn't normally find back home. So, we came out firing with the cheese apps! Fried Kesong Puti - Crispy outside, creamy inside. A delightful cheese appetizer, all day. Macau Chorizo & Cheese Tidbits - Smoky chorizo paired with gooey cheese for a savory bite. Think eggrolls stuffed with cheesey fun. Dinuguan sa Sampalok - A rich, tangy take on the classic dinuguan, enhanced with tamarind. Dipped the puto and had a blast. Rated GG - Crispy galunggong fillets topped with golden garlic bits, simple yet addictive for the fish peeps. Gising-Gising - Spicy, creamy vegetables with coconut milk and ground meat. This is a dish i have yet to find in U.S. It's a must order every trip. Bagoong Rice - Flavor packed rice dish infused with bagoong that eats like a meal. Corned Beef Sinigang - Their signature dish! Tender corned beef in a tangy tamarind broth, Filipino comfort food at its finest. It lived up to my cousin's rave review. While waiting, they serve salty watermelon seeds to snack on, just like sunflower seeds. This was new to me and super addicting. This was a fantastic Filipino comfort foodie trip visit and we had a blast. Whenever I'm in Manila, I'll always make time for a visit to Sentro 1771. Cheers and Mabuhay!

I liked the sisig, the lumpia filled with chorizo and cheese, lechon kawali, and for dessert we got the tasting platter that had a little bit of everything. Cons: There was a group of loud and obnoxious people a few tables away from us. Not really the restaurant's fault buuut the service was pretty bad. We ordered a cucumber lemonade, ripe mango shake, and unlimited sago pretty early in the dining experience. You can tell they are all fresh, but they didn't come until we were almost finished with the meal. We had to follow-up twice. My brother was only able to get a sago refill once because we had to leave soon. Maybe that's their strategy, order unlimited but never get refills. The dessert also took a while.

Velvety, fragrant, and perfectly balanced--rich espresso softened by creamy milk and just the right whisper of vanilla. Not sugary, not flat... just smooth, cozy perfection in a cup. The kind of latte you sip slowly because you don't want it to end. The Belgian waffle was straight-up indulgence. Golden and crisp on the outside, light and fluffy inside, topped generously with caramelized bananas, ripe mango, and strawberries. Sweet, buttery, fruity, and beautifully plated--this wasn't just a waffle, it was a moment. And then the Filipino breakfast--comfort food done elegantly. Savory longganisa over warm rice, creamy eggs, and perfectly balanced flavors that feel both nostalgic and elevated. Hearty, satisfying, and deeply comforting in that "this is exactly what I wanted" kind of way. Add in the warm, stylish atmosphere and consistently excellent execution, and Wildflour absolutely delivers. Whether you're here for brunch, coffee, or a proper sit-down meal, this place understands flavor, balance, and indulgence. A must-visit in BGC.

One thing people do not fully appreciate about traveling halfway across the world is just how…read moredisorienting the time difference can be at first. When my husband and I stay in BGC -- Bonifacio Global City in Taguig within Metro Manila -- our internal clocks are usually completely confused for the first several days. BGC itself is one of the most modern and walkable districts in the Philippines, filled with high-rises, parks, restaurants, shopping areas, and surprisingly peaceful streets during the early morning hours. So naturally, we often find ourselves wandering around the city at dawn while the rest of the world still seems asleep. And when it is 6:00 AM in Manila, it is roughly 5:00 PM back in Sioux Falls depending on daylight savings, which means our bodies are basically convinced it is dinner time while we are attempting to eat breakfast. Traveling is glamorous. Jet lag is not. During one of these early morning walks, we stumbled into Wildflour Cafe, which immediately gave us the feeling of an upscale neighborhood bakery mixed with a polished diner-style brunch spot. It was already surprisingly busy even at that hour, clearly a favorite among locals and early risers. Honestly, the easiest comparison I can make is: Imagine a much more refined and stylish version of Denny's, except with better food, fresher pastries, and significantly more polished presentation. Now to be fair, this is not necessarily the kind of breakfast that completely changes your life forever. But it absolutely is several levels above ordinary diner food. My husband and I both ordered steak and eggs along with a large serving of bread and butter to share because apparently we believe carbohydrates are an important emotional support system while jet lagged. I ordered my eggs scrambled while my husband went with over easy. The breakfast potatoes were fresh, flavorful, and wonderfully prepared. The steak itself was a bit overdone for my personal taste. My husband actually enjoys steak prepared more thoroughly for breakfast dishes, but I have always preferred at least a little pink or redness remaining no matter how small the cut may be. The real star for me, however, was the bread. Warm, fragrant, slightly crumbly, and absolutely wonderful once the butter slowly melted into every crevice. There is something deeply comforting about fresh bread early in the morning while sitting in a quiet cafe halfway around the world watching a city wake up around you. Now the one surprise during this visit was the service. Because Filipino hospitality is usually exceptional. Truly exceptional. In fact, some of the best service experiences my husband and I have ever had anywhere in the world have been in the Philippines. This particular morning, however, things felt a little slower and less attentive than what we are normally accustomed to there. Nothing terrible at all -- the cafe was extremely busy -- but it did stand out compared to the typically warm and highly attentive Filipino dining experience we have come to expect. Overall though, it was still a very enjoyable breakfast and a wonderful way to begin the day. Or technically... begin the day in Manila while our bodies were fully convinced it was bedtime back in Sioux Falls. At some point during breakfast I remember thinking: "We should probably go to sleep soon." At 7:00 AM. Jet lag is a very strange thing.

She loved it so much that she brought the family there for Sunday bonding. I found the place to be homey and cozy. It looked like a bricked house and once you've settled in a table, you'd feel like you're really in Spain. The music and ambiance really suite the whole theme. And don't get me started with the food! We ordered different things for the family to try and I must say that the food was good! We ordered the Paella Valenciana which is the flavor/variant we all know of. We also ordered the Caldo Gallego which was a hearty soup composed of beef, chicken, beans, vegetables and Spanish chorizo. We had the Salpicao, Croquetas and Bacalao ala Vizcaina (cod in tomato sauce). All of those dishes were really good! To end the meal, we ordered Sangria and partnered it with Bandeja de Jamon, Chorizo Y Quezo which was a platter of cold cuts, hams and cheese. The restaurant definitely captured the taste of Spain. I found it to be a great place to be with a big group or even just a one on one intimate dinner. The vibe for me was great. My overall experience in Calderon was pleasant! I would recommend Spanish cuisine lovers to drop by and try the food!

Honestly though we weren't expecting that much since it was only a neighborhood joint and we suspected would not offer Spanish dishes quite as authentic and fresh as those we've had in more expensive restaurants, but boy were we wrong. Calderon is fantastic. Their flavors was bold and their dishes though made with simple ingredients really pack a punch. The place is cozy and warm, the décor classic and earthy. The food offered is classic Spanish and we ordered salpicao, paella, gambas, and croquettas, all staple Spanish food. I was blown away by how tasty and great everything was. The tapas options are killer. I could honestly go home with a pot filled with their salpicao and just gorge on that and rice for a week. The ultimate test (at least for my mom) was their paella and it did not disappoint it was flavorful, salty, packed with meat and veggies. Calderon is certainly a must-try!
