I have been riding since I was 6 yrs old, mostly hunters and jumpers in high school. I had done a little dressage and found Jill McCrae in the Sentinel and took a lesson. I loved the lightless of the french classical dressage and the clear instruction from Jill. Jill was so incredibly nice and knowledgeable. She was able to get me to connect with the horse on a deeper level, to truly dance with the horse. I immediately became a student and also attended clinics with Dominique Barbier. I eventually boarded my horse at McCrae Farms. The facitilty is super clean, the horses were well cared for and turned out for long periods of time. The other boarders were very friendly and it was a family like atmosphere. I drove from the south side of Chicago to McCrae Farms because of the quality of the boarding and instruction. I currently don't own a horse but continue to train with Jill and I am currently looking for my next horse. I looked for nice barns closer to me but couldn't find anything of the caliber of McCrae Farms. I will be boarding my next horse at McCrae Farms. It is my little piece of tranquility in my stressful and busy world. I can also relax better knowing my horse is being well cared for. read more
