I went to the location at Buffalo and Washington today to get a smog test for my automobile and the college student that did the test was uncordial and rude. He had a sign that said he depends on "tips" to help with college and when he asked me what percentage of a tip I was going to give him I replied "none". I normally tip $5.00 but I refuse to tip someone who acts in a manner that is unacceptable to me. read more

Let's be honest, it's a smog check, nothing serious. This one has always been the quickest and closest to where I live with easy access. I go in the mid day, early afternoon and never more than a car or maybe two In front but fast. The only issue I have is that the link for the website here on help and the actual company's (Dekra) have these coupons you can download per state/location. However when you pull up there's a sign the worker "graciously" points out that no coupons without expiration dates are accepted. But I got this coupon from the company site??? Seems odd, the guy helping me didn't care, and well I wasn't about to argue or make issue with a $5 coupon, cause the bottom like was I still needed the smog check. But I think the company, the owner of this location etc, could do better with getting their info with corporate correct and be on the same page. read more

You have to catch them at the right time otherwise they do get backed up like other places. It's funny to see negative reviews because the other places around town that does smog checks is as less reliable. At least with Jiffy, you know their schedule. This was the fourth, FOURTH, Jiffy smog, I went to today because my wife wanted me to use the coupon they sent. Now I know why they don't post the price. $28.99 with a coupon. Shame on you. It's the reason why customers are aHoles sometimes because businesses do this. And I asked if my results were going to be sent to the DMV and was told that was extra. No chance I would give them anything out of principle now but had to ask. How much? $10. They got two stars because the testing part, which is simple, went fine. Why would anyone want to do this? Never again. I have to go again in two months and I'll go to my usual place that is always under $14. read more

Don't say your business closes at 6 PM and then start calibrating your machine at 5:40 so you can't take any more clients. Calibrate your machine at 6 PM when you're not open for business. Came here on a Sunday because the smog place I usually go to is closed on Sundays. There are cheaper places to do a smog check but this place was open and nearby. Smog check for my Honda Pilot was $28. For them to renew your registration for you is another $10. There's nothing great about this location, nothing stands out. The guy working wasn't rude or didn't give me any problems. But I feel that they're not there to get good reviews. They're just there to make money. Like everywhere else :) read more

Not sure who this need to go to but I just wanted to share my great experience with one of your employees. I believe her name was Sophia she works at your 920 North Buffalo Drive location. I just wanted to let you guys know she was extremely friendly and very pleasant to talk with. She was super professional and I will continue to bring my fleet of electrical trucks here for smog because of hurricane Service. I have gone to various smog facilities and it always seems like the employees hate their life and are miserable but not with her she did not seem annoyed by any of my questions and we were able to have a pleasant conversation while she performed her job. In an era where it is really hard to find good employees I really hope she gets the recognition she deserves she's a model employee for your company. read more

Do not go to Jiffy Smog. Go to Vavoline instead. I had just picked my vehicle up from a repair shop for a non emissions related repair. I didn't realize the repair shop cleared the codes in the onboard computer and because I hadn't driven the vehicle more than a mile between repair shop and Jiffy Smog it was an auto reject (not fail) on the smog check. I was charged $23. Jiffy smog is a shack in a parking lot with 1 employee who spent 5 minutes with me and the DMV charges nothing for a reject. I went back today after having driven the vehicle more and was told it would be another $28. $28!!!! What a racket. Went to the Valvoline at the Terribles on Charleston across from Red Rock. They charge $25 and if you need a retest it's $10. The staff was also super kind and helpful and quick. I'll never take any of my vehicles to another Jiffy Smog again. They're greedy and over priced. read more

I don't think it has always been that way, but their service now is horrible (if you can call it service). 30+ min per car for a simple smog check...when they decide they actually want to work. Consistently don't show up at published hours and when they do they are lazy and slow! Better of at just about any other smog place in town. AVOID!!!! read more

I've been here a few times and had ok service, plus it's a convenient drive thru location. This trip, however; it took over an hour to get to the front of the line for a smog check- and only 4 cars in front of me! That's absolutely ridiculous and a complete waste of time! Ive been coming to this Jiffy Smog for YEARS since I live in the area but never again. Just left and the tech acted like I inconvenienced him by showing up and intereupting his alone time. He was on the phone on a personal call the whole time, was unfriendly, was unclear in his speech, I had to ask him to repeat what he was asking me several times. Theres too many smog places in Vegas i can go to that will appreciate my business and not act like Im inconveniencing them, so I'll go there. Others should too. read more

Great guys that work here. Usually fast, easy and pleasant. Last visit w/female tech made me not want to go back. Next time I'll just see who is working before I pull my car up or get in line. Good thing it's a one person job, as I'm sure it would be terrible to have to work with her. I found her very rude. She interrupted me when I was speaking. I usually tip the techs there because they're nice. If she is looking for a tip, nice is all she needs to be. I won't give the whole place a bad review due to one person being rude, when I've been going there for years w/o any issues. Probably will lose some returning customers due to her. read more
