My daughter brought her vehicle in to have the oil changed because she had a coupon. The guys were nice and welcoming. There are a bunch of options and some of them can be costly. Of course they found thing wrong to report back. It's nice that this location is in between a Dunkin Donuts and diner so you can get something to eat or drink while waiting. They finished quick and had us back on the road. The only thing was a couple months down the line the oil light came on. They didnt reset the oil light when they changed it. read more

Jason doesn't know it, but he saved our road trip. Our transmission overheated at Tehachapi (pretty much in the middle of nowhere) on the side of the freeway and no mechanics were open on a Saturday late afternoon. Fortunately, Jiffy Lube open and we got there 30 minutes before it closed. Jason added transmission oil for under $100, and that was enough to let us drive 5 hours home without any further incidents. I had to get new brakes/rotors on my car today and would like to say that the staff were all wonderful. They were quick, helpful, and did the inspection for free. Brakes aren't cheap but the price was expected and reasonable. The shining star here is Chase. He greeted me in front of the shop and was the one I had spoken to on the phone so he was quick to get over to the vehicle to do the free inspection. Later, after the brake job was done he came and showed me a broken hubcap that once belonged to my car. He apologized profusely (even though these things definitely happen), took full responsibility and immediately, without prompting told me that he would make it right. He walked down to the auto parts shop down the way and bough 4 new hubcaps for the car. This was possibly even out of his own pocket. The poor guy even got the wrong size to begin with and had to run back again for another set. Honestly, the car has seen prettier days, and while a broken hubcap is never an enjoyable thing to see after a brake job, it was not the end of the world. Chase was just an absolute star today and a shining example of professionalism. He clearly cares about his job and customers. He went above and beyond even while obviously having a rough day. Tfitness discount!!! You have to love discounts when you can get them and there is a sign my husband noticed saying they honor TFitness members! Recently we got a new truck for us (2006) and it needed some brake work done. It looked busy but when we came in Robert was able to help us out. My husband shared what his concern was and they gave us a quote. As we waited Jason came in and let us know what he was doing along the way. We went accross the street and Jason called him to share some new findings. When we came back he showed us his new diagnosis for our truck. In my eyes Jason went above and beyond his customer service was noticed by both of us and we were happy we came here. If we have a future problem with either of our vehicles we will be back. I brought my car for an oil change last month and was quoted one price for the synthetic oil. It was comparable to the dealership and I had no issues with the price then. One month later, I returned with another car, which had never been serviced at this Jiffy Lube and was quoted $30.00 more for the same synthetic oil. When I questioned the price, I was told that it was their new policy to enforce their full service oil change. The staggering price quoted was $102! I have patronized this Jiffy Lube in the past and have not experience such blatant dishonesty. Either this Jiffy Lube is under new management or their employees are taking it upon themselves take advantage of certain Tehachapi locals. We ended up getting the oil change elsewhere locally for $65. I am extremely skeptical of this Jiffy Lube. read more

I had the pleasure of speaking with Ron today asking some questions regarding my Tire pressure. He was extremely helpful knowledgeable and told me to go ahead and come in with no charge and they will take a look at it. I recently purchased tires at Costco and found that they are filled with nitrogen which I was not aware of. He explained he could put a little air in and it would not affect the tire.I've use this business before for oil changes and I've been extremely happy. read more

When the local Wildlife decided to feast on the wiring of my Subaru, Ron and Dave figured out what happened and took very good care of my car. I would give no stars if it was an option. I don't use jiffy lube very often and I will never use them again. My wife too our equinox there because we really needed an oil change. It was very expensive. They also said the radiator was basically empty. So the up sold on that. But that wasnt even the biggest problem. My car started making a knocking sound. Thought was kinda weird and so I decided to start with the spark plugs. As I was changing the spark plugs decided to check the oil. Absolutely no oil on the dip stick. I bought a 5 qrt container and placed 2 qrts in it. Still no oil showing on the dip stick. It did stop making the knocking sound. I took it to a different oil change place and asked them to tell me how much oil comes out. They said 3qrts came out. Remind you I just added 2. It takes 5qrts. My car has never burned oil and there was no leaks. On top of it all it still had 50% oil life on the dash. This place could have ruined my car. Beware of them. If you get an oil change there check your dip stick right away. read more

I went in for an oil change and they talked me into an air filter, which was fine except i noticed they were telling the other people they needed air filters too. Then they charged me $5 to add antifreeze because they said i was "out" except I've had no leak and my engine didn't get hot. Every other Jiffy Lube I've gone to topped fluid at no charge. I had to make them honor my coupon (they tried to say it had expired, but i pointed out it clearly didn't expire until August). They had done the same thing to my husband earlier, but "gave" him a discount anyway. Then they ran my card twice, saying it was denied the first time. I checked my account and it had posted twice. I spoke to the manager who insisted they only got paid once. Icalled the bank who informed me it HAD posted twice. So now i have it being disputed at the bank! Won't be going there ever again. read more

I have used this Jiffy Lube many times since I moved to Tehachapi and I have been very happy with the service. The staff is nice, courteous and helpful. They are very complete with their inspection and always recommend what's best for my vehicle but they are never pushy. Honestly, I think the most time I have had to spend waiting for the work to be done has been 20 minutes which is great because I usually have my baby with me and it's not easy to keep him occupied. And I want to give a special shout out to the guys working on March 22nd at 8am (who I saw this morning)... you guys are doing a great job! read more

On Sunday 12/16/18, I was gassing up our Ford F350 at the corner near the Jiffy Lube when I noticed a puddle of green coolant leaking. I ran down the street to the Jiffy Lube and Ron and his crew were most helpful in identifying the problem (my husband confirmed diagnosis). Ron, the assistant manager assured me it was safe to drive the truck down to the shop, which it was. I was visiting family in Tehachapi and was headed back to Orange County, so I was a long way from home, 143 miles to be exact. I have AAA and called them trying to get them to piggy back 2 calls from my account after the 100 miles or use my dads AAA on top of mine. I was unsuccessful so Ron spent time trying to convince them. Neither of us was successful, but I very much appreciated him trying. He was very accommodating while we waited for the tow truck which took over an hour coming from Palmdale. Ron also provided a bandaid for my son and kept us company in between customers. He went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate me and my boys. I wish this Jiffy Lube were in Orange County. I definitely recommend Jiffy Lube to anybody that lives in the area. I'm never using this place again. Think they could put the filter on any tighter? I could not get the filter off for the life of me and I'm a pretty strong guy. So I don't have a wrench because I know how to install an oil filter but I go to the store and get one. It fits every filter for my model car, Fram, STP, Mobile 1, Bosch, etc. Get home and guess what? It doesn't fit the non-standard crap filter jiffy lube uses. So back to the store for another filter wrench that I will only use once because I will never use Jiffy lube again and I know how to install said filter. These guys were terrific! My husband & I were on a road trip (mid Sept 2015) from Colorado back to Calif and were having some issues with our car. We pulled in and they came right out to help us. My husband told them the issues and they understood and didn't try and push stuff we didn't need. We just needed to get back on the road. Race Track Experience- We went by for oil change on our way out of town, no wait. Staff (or team) was very efficient and friendly. This location has some of the best customer service and courtesy that I've seen in a long time. That's for any business, not just a car shop. They were open and upfront about the service that was completed based on my request. Their screen was pointed to me and we went through the service together. Very good service style. A drawback is the cost of service, but with the great experience I had I would keep going back. The courtesy service was good as well(vacuuming etc.). The 5th star would have came if my steering wheel and door handle didn't have oil residue on them. I used to work at a car shop myself so I know how hands can be dirty all the time. However, it was my shop's policy to always have clean hands if you were cleaning the interior or going in the car at all. I highly recommend that in the future for these guys. That is my only critique, otherwise an awesome shop to go to! read more

Don't patronize this store unless you want to get an aggressive 'upsell' for a bill of unnecessary goods. I just came from there and they forcefully tried to tell me that if I didn't use synthetic oil (at about 2x the price), my warranty would be voided. The car is a pre-1010 Ford (which has never used synthetic oil in its life) and the warranty obviously expired long ago. Their assertion was totally false, as the Ford manual does not state any such thing, and the Ford dealer that did the last oil change used ordinary Pennzoil. Needless to say, I chose the Pennzoil oil change at half the price. As I was checking out, they again seemed to insinuate that I had been warned. My wife had a similar experience at the same place recently. They probably find many women more gullible to their arm-twisting approach. Their hard-sell approach means we won't be back. read more

I had an all around great experience at this shop! It was the best customer service i have experienced in any mechanic shop i've been too and i wasn't even there for five minutes!! My car was cleaner inside and out when i left and they offered me discounts without me even asking. They let me know of all the reccomendations from my manufacturer which was good to know. Great service!!!!! I went to get my oil changed on a Friday afternoon. I'm thinking to myself I'm gonna here forever. I drive up and I'm greeted by this young man named David. I let him know What I want. He says okay pulls my car in tells me what kind of oil I need and what package to get. I go and sit in their cute little waiting area and in less than 15 mins my car is ready! Overall everyone there was friendly, efficient and fast! Best place I've ever gotten an oil change at. I was extremely impressed with the service, courtesy, speed, and their knowledge. Also a reasonable price with everything explained while you watch the computer screen with them. I've lived here for 20 years and they are definitely the best place to get your oil changed and tires put on or rotated. Our BMW started to overheat on Highway 58 on our way home to San Jose from Vegas. We had to back track about 9 minutes to go to O'Reilly's but luckily there was a Jiffy Lube right next door. Robert and Ron took the time to assess the problem. Although they determined the problem was more extensive and required a mechanic, they proceeded to call a tow truck for us and refer us to a hotel. Very disappoint they can rip you off like they did. They said they did things when they really didn't. They didn't vacuum, wash the windows, fill my windshield washer fluid up or change my oil filter. Not really sure they even changed my oil to be honest with you. This happened before and I stop going but had a coupon and though I would give them another chance and boy did it bite me in the ass. It's not ok to do that guess I'll be going to the tire shop for now on. read more

I went in to get a simple oil change and walked out paying almost $80.00. The prices are not posted and because I was a woman and went in by myself they charged me twice as much for an oil change. My grandfather went in one week later to ask how much their oil changes are and they relayed to him that they are $39.00. I am very unhappy with their taking advantage of women, and because the prices were not posted anywhere inside or outside of the store, I payed twice as much as I should have. Women, do not go here alone. I would hate for this to happen to any other women who were as naive as I was. read more
