We've been going to the tire store to do our oil changes. Dominic is usually the one who helps us. The best part is you don't have to get out of your car. You just pull in the bay and it doesn't take long it's $85 to get an oil change. They check your tires, your windshield wiper fluid on top of changing your oil. Then when I came in he had the guys remount another tire that a different tire store had installed incorrectly, ( the tire said " Inside " it was on the outside ) . Cheap tires and labor, but my customer service experience sucked. They don't communicate with you clearly on what they want you to do, or where they want you to go, and when you aren't able to read their minds and do what they want you to do, they make you feel like an idiot who doesn't know how to drive, and when you speak up, they say you're yelling at them. Single female travelling cross-country with a small SUV, a trailer and three cats, my trailer tire absolutely SHREDDED as I was going by Tehachapi. Here I am really in a pickle. AAA towed my trailer to this shop, and I was offered actual TRAILER tires instead of the CAR tires that were on the trailer. The trailer tires were not only cheaper than car tires, they are rated to haul a heavier load so will last longer. I didn't even unhitch the trailer from the SUV, they jacked it up, removed both tires, and had me on the road again in literally less than 15 minutes. To the crew working that day, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You took a stressful situation, where I could have VERY EASILY been taken advantage of, and made it a good experience for me. After 3 years of chances, I'm done for good. This place is fast, but not helpful - they do the absolute bare minimum in the most impersonal, almost dismissive way. The final straw for me is that they will not work with mileage warranties on the tires they sell you. I spent $1860 with the Tire Store on four tires in November 2022; these tires come with a 60,000 mile warranty, but when my rear tires were nearly bald after 11k miles after just 7 months, I went to the Tire Store and they said "that's between you and [tire brand]" and "that's par for the course for AWD." Other frustrating experiences I've had over the past few years: - After putting on $1860 tires, did not check air pressure so I drove away and promptly had all tire pressure monitors flashing at me. - After returning to get air filled in them, they did not replace the valve stem covers, which I didn't realize until a week or so later. - When letting down the car from the jacks, one employee basically dropped it down extremely hard (you sit in the car while they're doing this). - There's almost no conversation about anything you might want to consider - alignment, balancing, etc. I had my tires rotated there before a road trip, and as soon as I was at highway speeds I had the most horrible vibration between 60-80mph. Would have been nice if they had offered to balance them. there's also never any conversation about the condition of your tires or the tread. To be fair, they have been fine for quick easy things, like finding/patching a nail or swapping tires on my trailer. But I am going to have to buy and service my tires outside of Tehachapi, at a place that will stand behind the tires they sell. read more

I have had a number of experiences with The Tire Store. Bought used tires with 90% tread for trailer and one exploded within 50 miles.Bought tires for my Ram Cummins, got home, missing a hubcap. They denied responsibility. Then I thought i would try the Rosamond store.Bought tires for my Jeep.They said it was missing a pressure sensor. OK. Then within 500 miles my wife was driving on hwy 126 and at 65 mph the whole wheel fell off and passed her. She could have been killed. The loose tire could have killed someone from the opposite direction as it crossed the highway at 65 mph.Rim was ruined. bought new rims.New store pointed out (and I was watching) all pressure sensors were gone. Two screw ups, twice in a row. First time I went in, they forgot to put the cap back on one of my fluid reservoirs, which I discovered after it leaked on the drive home. Where do I start??? My husband and I were on the 58 traveling with our boat on the way to Lake Havasu City. We had a malfunction on the trailer which caused the driver side rear tire to shred. Luckily it is a tandem axile trailer. Called every tow shop and AAA, ZERO help. Long story short we fixed it enough to limp to the Tire Store. OMG every employee in the building was so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They treat every customer as though they are the most important person around. That is why they are super busy. Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me. How about too many times to count? I didn't have the time to run my motor home down to Santa Clarita liked I'd hoped and took it back to these jokers one more time....what a mistake. We left for Idaho and by the time we got to Coeur d'Alene I was losing about 20# a day on the driver's side back inside tire and 25# a day on the passenger outside back tire. Two weeks later, coming into Utah, I was stopping every couple of hours to put air in the outside tire. Called into Cedar City to a Big O shop to see if they could help....only thing they did was wiggle the valve stem making it worse (won't ever go there again). Luckily in St George at CMC I got ahold of the shop manager and explained my situation....he said he'd stick around and help me out. I explained I was having to stop every ten miles to put air in the tire....he laughed and said, if you can make it, I'll be here. Well it's been a couple of weeks since he fixed both leaking stems ( mind you, I've tried several times with The Tire Store here in Tehachapi) and neither has lost a pound. He charged me $70 for staying late...I gave him $150 and said have dinner on me for staying and helping me out. read more

I showed up here at 8 am with a flat tire and no appointment. I was taken right in, even though it was busy, they tried to repair the flat but couldn't so put a new tire on and rotated them all at the same time. They neatly put away the spare and jack etc that AAA had left in the back seat and I was there less than 45 minutes for all that. Lots of workers hustling around, overall great service. read more

Tire replacement process itself went fine. When it came time for billing, they took my credit card, and I sat waiting for a solid 10-15 minutes before someone came and knocked on my window and asked if I need anything. I said I was waiting to get my card back. They went and checked, and said their billing machine was down. Continued to wait. Had several other employees come and ask if I needed something, and I had to repeatedly explain that I was waiting to get my credit card back, and also explained that I really needed to leave soon and get to work. Was eventually asked to pull up front after about 20 minutes after my card was initially taken, and was then asked if I could drive to a bank to get cash. I'm sorry, I get that your machine is down, and while that's not intentional or your fault, I'm not about to spend my time and gas on that. That shouldn't be the customer's responsibility. Eventually I asked if I could just pay over the phone, to which they agreed. Was kind of assuming I'd be offered some sort of discount for the inconvenience, even just 5-10% would have been a nice gesture. I get that stuff happens, machines break, but I do feel it was handled in a very poor and disorganized manner, with very little communication. Would also like to mention that the smoking inside the garage and next to open car windows is pretty awful. I get splitting headaches from cigarette smoke, so that was not a pleasant addition to all this mess. read more

We are from Sacramento; got a flat tire when we arrived to family in Tehachapi. Brought our car in and the shop had a used tire that was the same as three of our tires. We were able to buy the tire and have it installed for $40 and should last us 1,000 miles. If we were in town longer; we would have this shop replace all four tires but they needed to be ordered. Always love going to this place because their fast and not crazy expensive. Everytime I come though, I stay in my car because I don't like anyone else being in it, and usually that's fine. I'm not bothered by anyone. But this last time, a friend of mine talked for a second then got yelled at by a taller man, sorta bald. Which, sure, okay I understand. But the fact he started talking down about women and how they're all the same and "easy" is the part I could've done without. He was also just being an all around jerk to this kid and other crew "I like to piss you off" and such. Calling him a shit stain. He's a grown ass man, he should know better. Great price and service at last minute for an "Out of Town'er!" 2 weeks ago a dealership quoted me $1600 for 4 new Pirelli PZero Nero all season tires 275/40 R20. I took my chances and passed on new tires and drove my Hellcat down to Tehachipi to visit friends. 15 minutes outside of town, one of my tires blew out. In the morning, I called the tire store, and of course Pirelli Tires need to be special ordered. Since I'm not local I asked if there was anything he had that would fit my Rim. After looking, he apologized, that all he had to offer was a used tire that would fit my rim. That's better than nothing. I had my car towed to the tire shop an hour before close. They were expecting us and quickly directed the tow truck to the back side to drop off the car. Immediately, the team changed my tire effortlessly and quickly. When all was done, the mechanic asked me if $40 was ok fir the used tire. I thought that was a decent deal. After paying, I went to leave and checked what kind of tire was installed, and guess what. To my surprise they had a used Pirelli 275/40 R20 PPZero Nero all season tire installed and it had better treads than my other three tires. Literally a $400 tire from the dealership, and they got it to me for $40!! I cannot thank your team enough. Now I only wish I had asked if they had any other Pirelli's used at that price, that's a screaming deal and I got super lucky. Thanks so much. They'll make sure your spare tire is off the car before they even bother looking at your original tire's leak. Then charge you $10 once you find out the leak is in an area they can't patch and they have to put your spare back on and stuff. Very pushy and they definitely know how to trick some kind of money out of you! read more

Fast but not good. For example, they use an impact gun from hell to install your wheels rather than using a torque wrench like you should. No joke it took all 220lbs of me jumping on a breaker bar multiple times to remove them. I've also had a trash employe place their cigarette butts and trash in the bed of my truck not once but twice. On another trip I had to argue with an employee to balance my new tires because he said trailer tires don't need to be balanced. Also multiple employees told me there was no way for me to program new TPMS sensors for a Ford on my own without a tool... 5 minutes on Google will show you they don't know what they are talking about... It should also be mentioned that two of the employees, both ones that have feed me lies or ignorance, have a bad habit of being rude tools and staring down customers in a way that is begging for a fight. So for me, 3 out of 4 trips here have left a lot to be desired. I won't be back again. read more

I went to tire store last week because I had a screw in my tire. I spoke with Gary, the owner and asked him if he could sell me a used tire to get me til next year when I planned on replacing them all, he said sure. After my car was in the garage getting the tire put on, he came back and told me I needed to replace them all. Never purchasing tires before, I trusted him and said ok but asked how the top brand tires could be shot at 27k miles when they are rated at 60k. He said because I didn't get them rotated. I said ok and purchased 4 new ones for 1k bucks. My tires cames in so I went to get them put on today. As I was waiting, an employee came out and asked who told me I needed to replace my tires. I told him Gary. He told me there was a little wear on the front end tires but nothing that needed to be replaced. Of course Gary wasn't there today and when I asked for a refund, I was told no refunds for special order tires. I was then informed they don't align them and I would need to go to their other shop in Lancaster. However, I didn't. I took it to Goodyear in Lancaster and had a great experience doing business with them. The owner there said he could have saved me 200 had I bought the tires from him. So as far as doing ethical business, this place is the worst and I don't recommend them. As far as everything else, they don't allow you in their office. You wait for one of them to become available and then they come out. I asked if I could use there bathroom and it was truly the most disgusting bathroom I've ever seen in a business. The shop/garage is in disarray with trash and broken glass on the floor. If I could give them lower than a 1 I would. read more
