WARNING!!! Avoid at all costs! I brought my Mercedes Benz in for an oil change, and had to bring it back in due to a bad part that was causing an oil leak shortly after my oil change. I brought my car back in and the manager dropped his phone into my engine bay and ended up breaking my coolant hose by leaning on it trying to retrieved his phone that he lost in my engine bay. Fluid starts spraying everywhere and at this point the manager tells me to go buy new parts from Mercedes and that jiffy lube would refund my money since they broke it. Nothing but lies and scammers. I can't get corporate to help with a claim in retrieving money that's owed back to me. Also, they are the most unprofessional employees I've ever dealt with. Nobody wanted to take accountability and just scream and fight with each other in front of clients. My car sat there for 8 hours and costed me hundreds of dollars to fix due to their incompetence. Now, I've had to take this to an attorney to get them to do the right thing. Do not do business with these people. read more

They put your car mileage higher and it shows as a discrepancy once trade in and you lose lots of value for the car. Do not go here.

Got put on hold every time I tried to call for atleast 10 mins. When you finally get there I was told to come back in 30 minutes because they were too busy, I come back 30 mins later just to wait in line for another hour while they're just all standing around talking working at a snails pace. NEVER EVER EVER GET YOUR OIL CHANGE AT JIFFY LUBE (ESPECIALLY 4316 WEST GANDY)....UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK INCURRING HUNDREDS/THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN DAMAGES TO YOUR VEHICLE. I had to pay $503 out-of-pocket after a botched oil change performed at Jiffy Lube on 4316 West Gandy. Their negligence during the oil change led to excessive oil contamination that ultimately required me to have my O2 sensor replaced. My check engine light came on and my car was shaking immediately after this oil change (which took twice as long as it should have once they got started...my first clue that something wasn't right). I returned the next day to this Jiffy Lube to have them double check everything as I knew it was no coincidence that my check engine light came on and vehicle was shaking immediately after this oil change (the oil buildup from the contamination acted as a barrier, preventing the sensor from properly detecting oxygen levels...which is what led to my check engine light and shaking car). The store refused to accept any responsibility, so I took my car to a Master Technician at Honest 1 Auto Care to diagnose the damage. There was clear oil contamination evidence (with several pictures as evidence) that the damage was from this oil change. The Master Technician at Honest 1 Auto Care said they had tons of vehicles that came to them after botched services from Jiffy Lube and that most people had to front the expense for repair and fight Jiffy Lube later for reimbursement. Many of Honest 1 Auto Care claimed they wound up paying thousands of dollars in repairs due to various missteps from Jiffy Lube. After two months of back-forth with the local GM and the warranty department rep, Jiffy Lube refused to take any responsibility for the damage despite having a warranty that is supposed to cover issues like this. I am absolutely enraged that I trusted this store's technicians knew how to do a proper oil change without causing $503 damage to my vehicle and that I was forced to come out of pocket for immediate repairs to ensure my own safety while driving. SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR VEHICLE FROM A COMPANY THAT WILL DOES NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN NEGLIGENCE! read more

Got a tire rotation done and they didn't put the tire back on right. Went to a different mechanic shop telling me I'm lucky the tire didn't come off while driving. Overall needed 2k in parts because of their negligence. Don't go here. They didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. read more

I bought a Groupon coupon for an oil change at a jiffy lube and I happen to be in Tampa so I thought I would take advantage of this coupon at the jiffy lube on Gandy boulevard. After a lot of hamming and hawing and checking this and back and forth talking to the guy that was in the oil change Bay she announced that they did not have a filter for my car. I don't drive an exotic vehicle and I have never been to any oil change place that wasn't able to a comedy my vehicle. It is getting close to their closing time so I'm thinking that they didn't want to start the oil change because the coupon was for an oil change and a tire rotation so my thought is that they just didn't want to work right up until closing time. I won't Go back ever really happy that I've already paid for this coupon so that I do have to go to a jiffy lube in order to redeem the coupon, but after I have redeemed the coupon you can done will bet jiffy lube will be at the very bottom of the list of choices for where I take care of my car. read more

I have been depressed for a week now. Leaving the doctor Tuesday morning 11/21/2023 on the way to work and my car breaks down as I'm pulling it out of the parking lot. Literally all the oil has leaked out of my car, and I just got a routine oil change at Jiffy Lube Store # 288 18 days ago! Speaking with Tyler Hayes on the phone he was very condescending and provided little to no assistance. I'm currently getting the runaround a week later. I've literally had to walk all the way home and miss work due to not having a vehicle. My Thanksgiving holiday was ruined as well as I could not travel home to visit family. It is so frustrating that Jiffy Lube can just do stuff like this to people with no empathy for their customers, especially when literally the only means of transportation a person has right now is their vehicle. Tyler Hayes today 11/29/23 2:55pm. He stated jiffy lube was not liable for the issues with my vehicle and would not be responsible for any further repairs or compensation. He was extremely condescending once again very rude and arrogant while on the phone. He first stated that I had a hole in my engine and for the sake of "customer service" he would pay to have it replaced. He stated that legally he was only obligated to pay for a "used" engine to replace it and I kindly stated if my engine is to be replaced an used one is simply unacceptable. Then Tyler called me back 15 minutes later stating that he had the wrong paperwork in front of him the 20 minutes or so we were on the phone and proceeded to tell me that the inspector stated in his report nothing was wrong with my vehicle and that the issue was the oil pressure sending unit. The problem with this observation is that the shop manager where my vehicle is currently being housed stated that the inspector did not clean the undercarriage of my vehicle and it was so much oil it would have been impossible to pinpoint where exactly the leak was coming from. I have requested the inspector's report to be emailed to me Mr Hayes confirmed my email and stated he would email the report right over and has failed to do so. I have been a loyal customer of jiffy lube and this is by far the worse I have ever been treated by a company and its management. I'm quite frankly disappointed that even after my oil cap was left off after my last oil change prior to my oil change on 11/2/23 I was told it was a simple mistake and to give jiffy lube another chance and it was the worse decision I could have ever made. My vehicle is potentially damaged beyond repair and jiffy lube and Tyler Hayes could care less. Thank you. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO GET YOUR 15 MINUTE OIL CHANGE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! read more

Jiffy Lube - All the oil has leaked out of my car 18 days after a routine oil change at jiffy lube #288 - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Tampa, Florida

When you pull up to a jiffy lube you never know what to expect. I don't know much about cars but these guys seemed experienced and knew what they were talking about. They provided me with a AC tube that inserts from the window into my car so I could comfortably sit in my car. I rated 5 stars for this location because I felt respected by each mechanic that came up to my window especially the man that changed my air filter that thing was disgusting. I recommend using a groupon from the groupon app they have great deals so you can save money and they can receive our business and continue their amazing work and being a part of their community. read more

My mother recently had her oil changed at this location and needless to say it didn't go well. A conventional oil change on a 4 cylinder Toyota Camry cost almost 70 dollars. Expensive? Yes but that's hardly the worst part. She tells me a few weeks later that the oil light is flashing on and off so I came over to find out why. As I lift the hood I am greeted with the dipstick resting on the radiator support where the tech had set it down and never put it back in. You can imagine the resulting oily mess all over the engine bay. Better yet you don't have to, just look at the picture I attached. So 3 quarts later and a lot of brake parts cleaner and the car is back to normal. My 20 year old daughter went to get an oil change in her car with 29,000 miles. They told her she needed to change out her transmission fluid and many other things and told her that it was dangerous not to do them. She spent close to $600 and the majority of it was not needed. $300 for a transmission fluid exchange that is not recommended until 50,000 miles. She had an issue two hours later with a tire and went to a different Jiffy Lube and they told her what they showed her on their computer was not for her car as they have the same system. This place is absolutely terrible. Terrible management and customer service. Went for an oil change. Said I needed additional things done on my car. They gave me a printed out quote for $400 which I agreed to. 2 hours later at checkout tried to charge me $900. After arguing with them, they gave me a small discount and I left. My boyfriend and I called multiple times with me about what they had done. Since it is wrong to give a printed out quote to someone and then try to charge them $500 extra after the work was done. After multiple phone calls LYNN, the manager, personally told me a $300 refund would be refunded to my card. However, when I received this refund it was only $199. I called again, and he stated he never said that to me. These people are liars and try to prey on and take advantage of young females. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

I used to live pretty close to this location, and way back when, I used to go because it was convenient. Nothing to write home about, just convenient. I stopped by for an oil change about two weeks ago when I was out running errands, and I was so pleasantly surprised! Everyone was so polite, the guy who greeted me showed me where the bathroom was (!!! Loved that, these places can be intimidating when they're busy and run by a bunch of dudes), showed me where the coffee maker was, and led me to the waiting area. I believe it was Desmarcus working on my car. Plenty of things to keep me occupied and comfortable, but they were done so fast I didn't even get to any of it. First and last time getting my oil change at Jiffy Lube. After an oil change and adamant recommendation that I get my brakes replaced, I went to a reliable hometown mechanic for his opinion. Found out my oil pan was stripped and nearly empty and my brakes were fine. I suspect the technicians get a commission for promoting certain repairs and no commission for others. read more

The 2nd time i went for an oil change they gave me a little cash off but still wayyyy overpriced for a simple oil change AND they broke two bolts off my under body tray on my truck. The staff is incredibly friendly & personable but their quality of service is very lacking. I originally went to get an oil change & after testing my battery, they recommended that it be replaced as it was leaking acid (creating quite a bit of corrosion) & the energy level was 1/2 what it should've been. I conferred with an outside source who agreed that it did need to be done so i brought my car back for battery replacement. A few days later, my husband noticed that not only was the battery case top missing but also the corrosion from the old battery had not been cleaned off. So Jiffy Lube simply slapped the new battery in without cleaning up the damage from the former one & forgot to put everything back in its place. Sad since this location is very close & convenient to my house but i will most likely not be going to this location again. read more

Honestly I never write reviews on places, but this location and their employees deserve a shoutout. I was having "one of those days" which was accompanied by smoke coming from my vehicle right before I was supposed to make a trip out of town. I was able to take my vehicle in and get it looked at right away. Within a few minutes they were able to tell me what was wrong and what they would do to fix it. Turns out I had a seized caliper and on top of it I couldn't find my tire lock key. They were still able to make it work and have the problem fixed within the same day! They get one star because they actually did change the oil. Other than that, it was easily the worst service I've ever had at one of these places. I normally bring both of our cars here but will not ever again. I was pulled up into the bay and the guys started working on my vehicle. One of them was on the phone almost the entire time. He got into my car to check the air filter, still on the phone. I've never seen that before...working while on a personal call. It took them a while to finish. Once they finally finished they moved me out of the bay and told me someone would be over to cash me out. After almost 20 minutes I got out and asked if I needed to go inside to pay. One of them (the one who was on the phone earlier) half-hustled over and said "I'll cash you out now" and reached for my credit card. I said "You haven't told me how much this costs or what I'm paying for." He said "Oh...it's going to be about $90.75. All in all this was an incredibly unprofessional service. It's the closest place to me, but I'd rather drive further than to pay for such poor service. What bothers me is that I've actually recommended it to people. Never again. read more

I came in for a basic oil change, wanted nothing more. Was greeted immediately by friendly, helpful and outgoing associates. Informed every step of the way of what the initial process entailed. Now, they do offer you additional services, which are not initially necessary (for some maybe but not me.. just my opinion). I don't mind being offered additional products or services, I do mind however as to how they are presented. A simple, polite "No thank you" was more than enough for them and I never felt pressured. Happy, smiling and upbeat employees and the icing on the cake was the drop of the carpet before I hopped in my car to prevent getting anything in the interior of my car. I have a fleet vehicle and I needed an oil change. They come to me with a list of what my maintenence provider said " I needed". This included air filters in the engine and cabin, wiper blades, tire rotation and the light bulb for the license plate. I promptly decline the tire rotation and wiper blades. I just got new tires 5000 miles ago and my wiper blades were fine. Of course I called maintenance provider to verify if they asked for this or if it was the other way around. My suspicions were correct and the technician called to get it approve based on mileage, not asking me when was the last time i had these items serviced. They tried to sell me turn signal light bulbs that I didn't need. The wanted to charge me $120 for a $40 fan belt. There was a frayed spot in the only place you could see it. HOW CONVENIENT! The worst. They don't deserve your hard earned money by working half assed and having bad attitudes. Take your car and your money somewhere else. I come in for ac service and they have me there for 1.5 hours before they come back and tell me that their machine broke and I can't turn on my ac anymore until I get it fixed. Didn't offer anything other than a recommendation to go to another jiffy lube a few miles away tomorrow morning. I get it. It broke. My last Oil Change was at Jiffy Lube, just got one today at MacDill AFB and found out that they never reinstalled the metal tube into my oil filter essentially making the filter completely useless. Initially my experience was fine. Typical routine oil change. Then, I was told about all of the things my car "needs". I just recently had my car inspected and everything checked out fine. I'm a young woman so I'm entirely convinced that they felt I could easily be persuaded to purchase these unnecessary fixes. The worst part about this experience was that when they brought my car out, it had clearly not been touched by a vacuum. The oil change I purchased included vacuuming. When I asked the man if he had vacuumed my car he said no, then immediately drove off to go do it without apologizing. He brought my car back around, got out, didn't look at me or say a word to me. I thought maybe there was something else he needed to do to it. So, I sat and waited for a few more minutes. I finally got up and asked one of the other workers of my car was finished. He rudely and condescendingly said "yes, the door is open and its out of the bay ma'am." As if to say "duh" I will never again return to this location due to the lack of kindness and respect in your employees. read more

I've always had great service here - these folks don't try to upsell you on services you don't need and work hard and quickly to boot. The techs I've worked with are always professional and polite - it's greatly appreciated. I'm a young female and I really respect how the guys didn't try and sell me anything that I didn't need. My vehicle is not the newest but I've kept it nice because I learned how to take care of it through the years so I realize what needed to be done and what didn't. Sunny was exceptionally inviting and made the awkward sit in the room with everyone else enjoyable as well as offered discounts that were available that I would not have known about otherwise. They did my oil change just fine and in a timely manner but they went into my glove box and didn't even put anything back. Why would you do that? They also left leaves and dirt in my passenger seat. Then weren't very kind once I declined all the "needs" for my vehicle. It just wasn't a very pleasant experience. I also won't be going back to pay for a $45 basic oil change. read more
