Oil change took 50 minutes, and I kept getting prompted to purchase more things for my car that did not feel necessary (and later fact checked with people more knowledgeable with car mechanics- who confirmed unnecessary services). It felt like I was being taken advantage of. I'm confused about my experience because the recent reviews are so positive. Personally would never come back to this location- I've had better experiences at different jiffy lubes, and at small businesses which charge a better price. read more

I was in and out in less than 20 minutes from my oil change! the service was very informative and helpful. this is actually my first time to Jiffy lube, I have been going to the dealer my whole life up until now. I found a discount code online when I created an account, but when I went in it didn't work for some reason, but the service guy still accepted the discount code, which I appreciate it overall great experience, love how quick was able to go in with no appointment and leave. great place for a fast and smooth oil change at a fair price. read more

I've left there before and had my low oil light go on right away. I've had to ask them to fill it full and had them argue with me. They won't follow what the dipstick reads. They say that they are following manufacturers instructions, and that's why they fill it to the lowest amount to read on the oil range. My light went on while driving to work today. I pulled I and asked for a check, maybe a top off. My breaks squealed. He told I'm it was my rotors and gave me a look of disgust. Excuse me?!??! They were the last place to check my break pads and said they were fine, and now 3k mi later they're telling me the break pads are gone and I have to replace rotors. I'm 7 months pregnant. He told me $50 to check the level, extra for a top off. , i asked him if I could just check it myself to see how low it was. I got upset, and the manager told me to leave. I've spent thousands at this stupid pos shop and they don't even have the decency to check the level when they were the last to touch it while I'm 7 months pregnant and late for work. The manager literally told me to leave. Yeah, did I cry, yeah. Does that make me a Karen, sure. I can't handle the stress and I don't have the money and I'm panicked. I just don't understand the lack of basic human decency. He can see by my shoes how much money I have. read more

100% recommend Valvoline Oil Change on Grand Ave. (over Jiffy Lube) in Pacific Beach. The Crew at Vavoline was top notch professional, and got me in and out in approx. 15 minutes (without an appointment). Also, Diego -- super polite, addressed tire pressure, air filter, lights, brakes and turn signal functioning (none of which Jiffy Lube to my knowledge did three days earlier with our other car). But maybe the biggest thing is customer care and attentiveness. At Jiffy Lube it took nearly 45 minutes (basically 3x as long). And after I sent in a comment, the person from Jiffy Lube called me back to 'apologize' and in the same conversation told me that they have many satisfied customers, which struck me as kind of tone deaf. read more

Had a female mechanic work on my vehicle, this cool fact alone makes me want to support this location and come back here again! I'm all for female empowerment and the entire crew here, dudes and dudette, were friendly, quick, and made me feel at ease. It was my first time at a Jiffy Lube and I'm sold forever now. They'll often run coupons and specials which is good because their pricing won't always be the lowest, than say, that gas station at the corner but everything is done while you're in the car or sitting in their office so you can trust that they're not skimping on anything. A technician, name Jesus, even wiped my windows and vacuumed my car- free of charge while I made myself a cup of Joe and watched them do their thang from the waiting area. They replaced my air filter and topped off all my coolants too. Tire rotation is not included with the oil change so FYI. It's the next best experience below going to the dealership. read more

This place is hit or miss. They very often lie about the type of oil that the car requires. My guess is they make more of a profit on the high-priced oil or they have to hit a certain amount of revenue per day. They even try to scare you into using the high-priced oil.
