After paying a $75 dollar deposit for an inspection my appointment was cancelled twice! Once because they were short staffed (appt 06/13), and the second time due to rain (06/17). I had to text them to remind them of the second appt and then they cancelled on me 2 hours before it was scheduled . I tried to call the shop many times but no one ever answered. I went through the customer portal and asked for my deposit back, to speak to a manger or to be accommodated in anyway and they refused me. I even tried to see if I made a 3rd appointment if they would inspect and service the car in the same day due to me having to wait on them for dayss! They told me no. They told me I will not get my deposit back and it will go towards a new appointment. They told me the deposit can't be refunded because "they reserve a technician's time and scheduling availability", even though no techs have been available to me!! They said both of the appointments they cancelled was for reasons out of their control and that they would escalate this with management and make me a "priority" to schedule me an appointment asap. Then turned around and said they aren't sure when they can service me and that I need to make my own new appointment for THE 3RD TIME!! When no one from the company/ management reached out to me for a follow up, I on their site to see what time has available and it showed no availability till 07/06. I reached out again asking how true this was and if this got escalated to a manager... no response. This is ridiculous. I am disappointed and I feel scammed. I will never work with this company again!

Southside Auto, thank you for looking out for my grandmother. She took her car into another…read moredealership for an oil change and left in tears with a rental car and an estimate for over $3800. I have taken my car to Southside over a dozen times in the past and they care about customer service, so I asked if they would verify the repairs needed. Southside took the time to confirm what two other independent auto repair businesses eventually told me: the repairs were not necessary for safety, and wouldn't be for at least 6 more months (tires do wear out). 3 service techs at different companies all agreed that at most, the bill should be under $1000. Southside now primarily sells cars, so it meant even more that the owner took over a half hour to work with me and confirm these suspicions. In fact, they doubled down and made an offer to buy my grandmother's car at a more than reasonable price if she wanted to sell it! They took the time to show me why the repairs were not needed, and how to check for myself in the future if needed. They clearly had nothing to hide. I am so gratetful to Southside for their years of honest and reasonably priced repairs, and they will be my first choice to look next time I need an excellent used car (or to sell one). Thank you Southside for going above and beyond because you actually care about the customers too, not just the cars.
