Wow the staff was not very nice. No smiles and funky attitudes like they didn't want to be there. As a senior this made me very uncomfortable. Also I didn't know much about the oil, thinking they are the experts , give me what I got last time you have the information right on your screen. Then was told 15-20minutes that turned into 30minutes before I was told I needed an air filter and then change brake fluid. I just had my brakes replaced. Something about that wasn't right. I just came for an oil change. I'm not a mechanic so I don't know. Well of course I let them do the recommended repairs ($500) and left 1 hr later. Upset broke and late for church . So I went to get an oil change today. Before I dive in I want to say I already expect to be up charged or offered other services. I pull up I tell the gentleman I just want an oil change. Only an oil change. I leave my vehicle, they call me to go over the invoice. The young lady working shows me my filters and says something about changing them. I say no, I'm fine I just want the oil change. She says are you sure, this is the air you breathe. I say yes I'm sure I can change that myself pretty easy, just the oil. Then she mentions brakes and another worker comes and mentions my windshield wiper, which has been working fine just used them the other day but to all of this I say no thank you, just the oil. She then asked about the filters again, to which I gave the same response. She says ok, this is the air you're going to have to breathe makes a face and starts laughing as she takes them back to my vehicle. Which I personally think is a little unprofessional. My car gets finished. I go in to pay, I pass her the money she gives me the change I say thank you, she says mmhm. I turn around she says "do you want your keys" I say something like oh they aren't in the car? When I get into my vehicle I pull off when I look to my passenger side all of the papers that were in my glove compartment are on the seat and floor so I turn around to go back. I spoke with a different person and just asked why they'd be out of the glove compartment, I should have got his name because he was professional, he says oh they went into the glove box to get the cabin filter but the items should have been put back to where they came from and I informed him of the interaction. This review is a combination from all of the slightly off-putting things that happened after declining extra services that seemed like micro-aggressions stacked on top of each other. What I think should have been a pretty basic and normal thing suddenly felt petty. I usually don't go to this location and probably won't again, no hard feelings to the staff that was uninvolved more so writing this review to educate how one tiny little micro-aggression or gesture can make or break the level of service and make even small mistakes seem intentional. read more

Service techs stripped my wheel studs when rotating my tires. Luckily I saw them tinkering with it after I had already paid and they worked to replace the studs. Ridiculous to have to pay and wait for another hour to get this done when it's something they should regularly perform. They are using battery operated wrenches and looks like ill-fitting sockets. My last service was at the dealer so I know this wasn't prior damage. This will be my last time here ever. read more

For preface, I do my own oil changes and I've never had a problem. My vehicle was due for an oil change and decided to get it done at a Jiffylube in Maryland before driving back home. My car was fine beforehand and wasn't on the brink of breaking down. On 9/27/2025 I took my vehicle for an oil change at Jiffylube on Oxon Hill, MD 20745. While they were servicing the vehicle, they took out the air filter and presented it to me asking if I wanted a new one. I declined because it was an additional $40. I paid a total of $60.95 after taxes for their cheapest option to get my keys back. As soon as I turn my car on, the car starts shaking and rattling aswell as having a check engine light. So I show the technicians there whats happening and they scan it. On the scanner it was saying it was the spark plugs and that there was nothing they could have done that caused it, that it was a pre-existing issue. After I take it to the closest open mechanic(Ben Nelson's Alexandria Automotive)at that time immediately, barely making it there and they said it couldn't the spark plugs causing my car to act like that but they can do a full diagnostic on Monday(9/29/2025). My car wasn't safe to drive so I had to leave it at the Mechanics shop and get a ride home from my family. By the time that whole ordeal was over, the jiffylube was closed so I called the next day. I called the Jiffylube I got my car serviced at(9/28/2025) and was able to get in contact with the assistant manager(Jose).He said there was nothing I can do about it until the Mechanics confirm it wasnt pre-existing issues on the car. I call back to ask for the manager. They said the manager(James) wasn't there so I ask for any other mangers and they hung up on me. I tried to call again and they played loud screeching noises through the phone and hung up on me again. I contacted corporate and they're working with the case at the moment. So right now im without a car and im gonna be missing work. That's where im at right now. read more

service of this place has definitely decreased within the last couple of years I've been going here. I got there at 2:55pm for a routine oil change (which has significantly increased in price to $100 for the standard.) Literally there was one truck in the bay, one car in front of me and myself. There were 2 workers directing cars coming in, 2 people standing around and 1 person doing (what looked like) inventory.(I didn't get a glimpse at the number of workers under neath the bay, but I did acknowledge it was some people down there.) The fella pulls my car in at 3:02pm and I walk to the waiting area. At this point, one worker is wrapping up business with the truck and working on the car in the other bay. The 2 other workers are now chatting with the inventory guy. 3:17pm, I get told 10 more minutes for my car and it's ready. At this point, the truck is gone, the car is done and now it's just me but a crowd has formed in the waiting area. I watched the same two workers walk around chatting up until my car was ready at 3:50pm. Now I'm normally not anal with time, but yesterday was not okay given that I came at a time in which there was virtually no one there. Then to have the audacity to ask me about the other services they have. Like sir, so I can watch your workers walk around for another 2 hours while 1 outta 3 guys work? read more

I tend to forget about the OG establishments that have been serving the community for years. Jiffy Lube is one of those establishments. I've taken multiple cars here for the signature oil change and the staff is extremely professional and efficient. As you might imagine, peak times are after work and Fridays and Saturday mornings of holiday weekends. I avoid peak times. I'm in and out before I can read a chapter of a book. The staff consistently remembers to reset any maintenance and control panel reminders. I've had issues with the dealership forgetting to do this! Oil changes with synthetic oil is more costly than the standard but that's the case everywhere. Additionally, I don't feel undue pressure to purchase goods and services we don't need at the time. Service members do a good job vacuuming and walking through the bill too. Kudos to the staff and management team. Check them out during off peak times! read more

I tried this location this morning because it was close to my exercise class. The service is very important to me as a woman because I don't want to go to any kind of auto shop and feel like I'm being tricked or condescended to. The technicians were friendly and the person behind the desk was nice, too. Even though this place is nowhere near my apt, if I need an oil change again I will probably come here. When we took our car into Jiffy Lube for servicing, Derek, our Service Technician. was very helpful and professional. He explained everything in detail before and after the work was done, The work he performed was excellent. Derek made great helpful recommendations for better performance and maintenance. DO NOT GO TO THE SAINT BARNABAS LOCATION!!!!!! I have been going to the Saint Barnabas location for 18 years but the staff that is there now are incompetent and not trustworthy. I came back in town from vacation and went to this location to have my light bulb replaced they had ten minutes left and would not service me because they had already closed but stayed open to clock out. I went back two days later and pointed out how could they close and just sit around to get paid, in return they tried to charge me $60.00 dollars to replace my light bulb. This was stated to me while I was in line, now mind you I have had my lights checked by jiffy lube with out any additional amount and it was done fast. JiffyLube FUCKED UP MY ENGINE. Went in, Nov.11 2018, for a coolant flush & fil and an oil change. Late the next evening while leaving work my oil light comes on. I pull over to the closest gas station to find that ALL of the oil contents had leaked from my car. Never before had I encountered any issues b/c I would always take my car to the dealership for all services. Unfortunately for me the dealership was closed due to the holiday. So I have my vehicle towed to the dealership (trusted & reputable technicians). They found that the filer was "hanging on by a prayer". JiffyLube failed to install the aftermarket filter correctly and stripped the threads where the filter installs. Jiffy Lube has denied my claims (nothing in writing). And that fast-talking con-artist, Daniel Dubois, was absolutely no help to me and when I mentioned an attorney he stopped responding to emails and calls. After doing some research I found that JiffyLube has a documented history of causing vehicle damage going back as far as 2002, maybe even further. I don't know how the employees are trained and/or certified, but based on my experience and the experiences of other customers, it appears the lack technical knowledge. I would NEVER refer or take any vehicle of mine to JiffyLube and I will NEVER patron SHELL (Royal Dutch Shell: parent company). read more

Went there for an oil change. Manager offered additional services (wipers and brake fluid drain); I declined. A week later, all brake fluid drained/leaked from my car. No problem or trace of problem prior to this visit. Took car to mechanic, found no issue; refilled brake fluid. Took another week for fluid to drain. Car back to mechanic; he found a pin-whole sized puncture in the brake/clutch line. Coincidence ... I do t think so. read more

I would definitely give less stars if possible. So I have been coming here for oil changes only for the last 4 years or so. The had a manager previously, tall, long locs and wore glasses. I knew him as "O" and I'm not sure if I got special treatment becasue we ahd a good repore but I had never had an issue. Since they have been under new management, it has been a nightmare which unfortunately ended in me losing use of my truck completely. I have an older Q7. Bought at a discount with only 49, 000 miles on it. I go to the dealership for everything but oil. Since I take 9-10 quarts of synthetic and my filter is usually $35 and seperate, it just made sesne not to do the oil myself. Actually about the same price as here. Last April for Easter I came in and the next day My entire family is looking like my car has a major leak. Us use to managing very minor leaks understand just about how much we lose per 1000 miles or so an accomodate for that. This wasn't that. I went to the Jiffy Lube closer to me and they indicated that my oil pan bolt wasn't titghtewned. They tightened. No biggie. I head back into the regular Jiffy lube, Store #129 early October and elave and.. Low and behold, it happened again. Only this time I removed the now damaged oil pan bol and replace it. At the time I remove a little under 5 quarts from my vehicle, less than half the recomended amount. I contact Jiffy Lube right away and inform them that my bolt myst have been tightened too much and the double washer was damaged to the point it was inneffective. They tell me come in the following day since the "Cuastomer Service Rep" would be there. I call, as well as reach out to corporate for record keeping and to let them know whats going on and the next day I bring it in,the gentleman, Danny (541) 530-7102 sounded nicce enough on the phone and when I get there he was covered in tattoos, no judgement. as am I. I explained who I was and he asssured me they would work it out. Once their check was done, all vitals on my vehicle were fine. I asked that they clean my engine and the area where the oil was leaking because it had been basically spewing out. I let him know that in the time between visits I had put 10 quarts in to make sure I was running with enough. Unfortunately that oil was coming out just about as fast as I put it in. He told me my vehicle only needed 1 quart. I assured him that I took out less than 5 when I changed the drain bolt and it should need at least another 4, likely 5. He then checked again and told me he put a total of 2 quarts in, this was also reflected on my receipt. I left hoping that he actually put an entire addittional 2 quarts in and had no other reasons to even lift my car hood. Shortly after my vehicle started running weird. I have a diagnostic checker that when plugged in was reading misfires. I opened the hood to take a look at my plugs, and my darn dipstick was never replaced after I guess the Jiffy Lube techs checked my oil level. It was actually sitting right on my undercarriage shield in the grooves. I couldnt believe I had been driving for over 1000 miles without my engine sealed and the oil spewing out was evident under my hood on the protector there. My vehicle ended up shutting down while I was on my way to get oil that evening and it hasn't drove since. I got it towed to Jiffy Lube and Danny said that I had metal in my engine and since they were at fault he would comp my entire labor bill but I would be required to purchase an engine through them. He quoted the engine cost at $6500, $2000 more than I even saw anywhere else and I was befuddled. I actually called motor world in Temple Hills, the location that actually installs the engines for them and the reps their said that Jiffy Lube sends them brand new vehicles that arte ruined all the time. Now Danny wont confirm what he said via email or text but said at anytime I decide to get it doen just reach out to him. Even corporate, who initially responded has stopped answering. This Jiffy Lube sucks. Do not go there if you want your vehicle for the long term. If you insist on going check everything right after or before you leave. The only reason I continued to come is becasue out of all the Quick Lube spots this is the only location that had my filter ins tock. At this point Im not even sure If I believe they actually had my filter. Very sad and am in the process of filing a small claim in court now. If anyone else has had their vehicle reuined IE. engine ruined by this location or any other please contact me. Gave me all the information concerning what I could get completed today. The only thing I didn't care for was, when it was time to pay. They wanted me to put in my PIN number. This was the worst customer service I ever experienced. I have always used jiffy lube in northern Virginia, but I just recently moved to MD. I printed out a coupon for $10 off oil change on the companies website and I was told it expired. Although, the coupon clearly stated it was good till April. I was very disappointed, but they went ahead and honored it. I handed another individual a copy cause I printed out two. It's covid era, so people are hurting with money. I was chewed out for that by the lady at the front desk. She was very rude and unprofessional. She told me I couldn't do that, but anyone can get on their phones and download the coupon in less than 30 seconds. I told her I would contact corporate and she told me she didn't care and to go for it. I was shocked at the tone of voice she used, so I replied that I will just my spend my money else where in the future. She replied I don't care do whatever you want we don't need your money. This place has probably undergone a recent management change because the last two times that I came here (both times around 1:00pm) the service was exceptional and efficient. I was greeted right away and walked over to the waiting area where I was told there is fresh coffee, magazines and restrooms. The first time, the manager made the coffee fresh right then! I was called over and informed of the services needed and were to be performed very efficiently. The check-out was smooth and I was out of there in 15 minutes. I loved my experience here the last two times and will continue to go back as it is very convenient for me to go during my lunch breaks! read more

I'm not the review writing kind of person, so the fact that I feel compelled to write this review says a lot in itself. On 7/8/16, I visited this location for a standard oil change. Nothing serious. I was also recently pulled over for a dead taillight bulb, and decided to have that changed as well. And I added a new wiper blade because my old one needed to be replaced. The service didn't take long, which I was happy about and I was pleased after the work was done. Fast forward less than 24 hours, just about every indicator light in my car was illuminated. I know very little about cars, and had to review my owner's manual to even figure out what some of these lights were for. I had low tire pressure (and the pressure was normal the day before), my engine indicator light was on, I had low washer fluid, and a host of other issues. I pulled over and called my boyfriend & grandfather, both of whom assisted me with fixing these indicators via phone. None of my fluids were topped off; the oil cap, coolant cap, diagnosis cap, and washer fluid caps were all left open when I opened my hood; and, the tire value caps were all missing from my car, which caused the air to leak. Now remember I said I was pulled over a few days ago for that taillight? Well I was pulled over AGAIN for the SAME LIGHT and my only saving grace was my JL receipt. So I had the officer direct me to the closest JL to have the light checked....the new technician at the MD450 location opened the trunk and the cover for the light was missing and the light wasn't screwed in all the way. Unbelievable. The only thing JL did right was fix the wiper, which in all honesty I could have done myself after watching a youtube video. Then the assistant manager, H. Ross, III tried incessantly to get me to purchase an engine flush (for $89.99), which I repeatedly and respectfully declined. My boyfriend had to get him to back up out of my face, which I was worried would turn into a fight. Overall, the experience was just a nightmare....a $60 nightmare. The only reason why I'm giving this location 2 stars instead of one is because the cashier, whose name I can't remember, was very friendly and honored my coupon. Otherwise, I suggest visiting a reliable JL location, such as the one on MD450/MD410 intersection or a Pep Boys, car dealership, etc. read more

I LITERALLY can't believed the service I received here! I have had TERRIBLE experiences with oil changed...(left my car oily, always had 100000 things they "found wrong" with my car, took FOREVER, etc) THIS place was OUTSTANDING! I arrive with my 2013 Chevvy Cruise 2013...I park my car in the little waiting area and get out to see if I need to do anything before...and one of the (very kind) men come to greet me AT my car. He seems very sad to tell me that my car takes premium oil and it will cost more than normal. (I already knew this of course....) I feel like MOST places would just do the oil change and then tell me after! He was so sweet and was even ready for me to walk away. I waited about 5/10 minutes in my car (3:15pm on a Tuesday) and then they took my car in...I waited about 5 minutes and then the technician came to introduce himself and told he would "happily serve me today". He then went over everything he would do and let me know that the cars "oil left %" is done by milage and because my car takes premium that I can actually go up to 7500 miles on each oil change! (No one ever told me that before, so I have been chaining it more frequently then I needed to.) After they were done they vacuumed and cleaned the windows! They checked all my "vitals" and filled up my fluids! I will literally NEVER go anywhere else! I am SO impressed at their work and service ethic...this staff is TOP notch!!!! (And ladies - I know we feel like we are getting tricked sometimes - these guys were nothing but polite and exceptionally helpful and friendly)! read more

I arrived at the Jiffy Lube at 3 pm today and there was no line!!! I was GREETED and Guided to the Door. I received clear instructions And an INVITATION to the waiting area where I was offered coffee. When the diagnostics were completed, I was invited to step outside and My car's metrics were discussed with me and I was ASKED what I wanted to do. Then the Money piece came, everything that was done to my vehicle was explained and the itemized cost of each was reviewed. I do Customer Service for a living and I have never been treated better...Come and be treated well.... read more

Went in for an oil change and left no longer being able to pop my hood. One minor maintenance turned to George the Manager taking needle nose pliers to pull open my hood instead of asking me first before trying. Then he lied along with Dora the office manager, they knew they were on camera so they manipulated the whole situation. Please be aware taking your car to this location for service, particularly if you are a woman. The owner is by far the most disrespectful and dishonest person I've encountered. I had an engine flush completed here and one of the techs broke the exchange hose to my engine. This could have been a simple repair but the owner refused to take responsibility, mocked me for complaining about the damaged. The Techs here are pretty customer friendly but I don't believe they are skilled mechanics which is part of the problem but the largest part of the problem with this location is the Owner.
