Now I'm about an hour away from dealership in Orangeburg SC and it's already 3pm. Well I contacted Billy (Service Advisor) and he checks with (Rich) the Service Manager and they can take me in. I get there just after 4pm and they take the car in. They get a driver (Keegan) to take me to a hotel. I get a call less than 2 hours later telling me that (Zach) the technician performed a charging system inspection and found that the alternator had failed. They have an alternator in stock but can't install until the next day. The next day I call Superior KIA and Keegan picks me up and takes me to the dealership. My car has a new alternator, under Warranty, and they even give it a courtesy wash. I drove the remaining 880 miles home with no issues. Less than a week later I get a followup call from Billy asking if everything is ok. Now this is what I call great service! This service department took care of me from start to finish.

We use the service department for our regular maintenance on our KIA vehicles and they even perform service for our vehicles that are other automotive brands as well. The facility is top notch and the employees are outstanding. The sales staff is knowledgeable and always happy to help out with questions after the purchase process is completed; the service department staff offer advisements as to upcoming service and always review what is recommended; they also review what service has been performed during regular service appointments. Our purchase and service experiences have always been great. Highly recommend!

So, first thought good ole Wal Mart should be pretty quick to get in and out right~No. They were all still at lunch at 2:00. So we head around the corner to the "intimidating" Big Tire Store afraid of what we'd find. Let me tell you, we were so happy to find the most caring staff that took care of our issue QUICKLY and got us back on the road SAFELY to be with our family in time. 2 things, 1-if they were closer to home they would be my regular tire shop, 2-if my regular tire shop at home ever fails me I'll be driving to Orangeburg for their services. A good tire shop with good service is very hard to find. To find it in an Emergency situation is practically unheard of!

A month ago the sunroof on the Terrain started pouring water from the right side of the headliner. Opened the sunroof and carefully poured water into each drain to determine what was leaking. The tube is not clogged because water isn't collecting in the basin that feeds the drain. Because I thought I needed to remove the headliner I took it to Fairey and was told I needed a new drain tube that would cost me approximately $1200.00 because they would need to remove the entire dashboard to replace it, but they would happily deduct the diagnosis fee from the bill if I came in for the repair. I paid them their ridiculous diagnosis fee thanked them and walked out. My expectation was a minimum 1 hour charge for the entire repair. The young man behind the desk was extremely professional and used all the right language but had no idea he was talking to someone with 37 years in the automotive repair business. If he could have seen inside my head the anger of "THE BEAST" was hiding inside a 72 year old man. Not at him, but at management and ownership. This does not happen in a vacuum!!! I'm jumping ahead of myself. When I left Fairey I remembered a collision shop about 15 minutes from my house and decided to check them out. For a small shop they were extremely busy. As I was explaining my problem to the desk clerk. The owner was walking by, stopped and immediately asked me "Why don't you fix it yourself, it'll take you less than 15 minutes. I've had 2 Terrains in here this past week with the same problem." I made an appointment and Best Auto Collision, North SC made the repair while I waited. Cost $20.00. I immediately decided to call the nearest dealership, which happened to be Superior Honda in Orangeburg, S.C. I spoke with a service advisor named Deanna. Right away, I sensed a certain shortness in her tone, which made it uncomfortable to schedule an appointment. Still, after checking our schedules, we agreed on April 28, 2025. 1 thought, perhaps she was just having a bad day. However, when my daughter arrived for the appointment, she called me from the service desk and said she felt very uncomfortable. She mentioned that Deanna was not particularly warm or welcoming. Good customer service is essential to building a successful business. I sincerely hope Deanna takes this feedback to heart-it could benefit both her and the company she represents.

My husband went the next day, Friday, at 7 am. They were open, but he was told the technician that does the alignments wouldn't be there for an hour and a half. The technician showed up at almost 9 am. He did not perform the alignment on the rear, only the front, he lost a lugnut, he only hand-tightened all the other lugnuts on the front tires, and the vehicles still makes the same noise it was making prior to the alignment (but only when the road curves to the right). He told my husband that the tie rods were worn and would need to be replaced "soon," not immediately. Is that what is causing the noise??? It is unfortunate that my husband wasted so much time and we wasted the money on such horrible work (we even had to buy a new lugnut since the tech lost one). I definitely will not return and will not recommend them to anyone. Had my husband not rotated the tires the very next day, this could have ended up with very serious repercussions due to shotty work that was performed on our vehicle.
