So we head around the corner to the "intimidating" Big Tire Store afraid of what we'd find. Let me tell you, we were so happy to find the most caring staff that took care of our issue QUICKLY and got us back on the road SAFELY to be with our family in time. 2 things, 1-if they were closer to home they would be my regular tire shop, 2-if my regular tire shop at home ever fails me I'll be driving to Orangeburg for their services. A good tire shop with good service is very hard to find. To find it in an Emergency situation is practically unheard of!

It was 5:45 before I could reach Mr. Tire with my flat lawn mower tire. Parker told me he would see what he could do to plug the tire, but was unsure it would fit his equipment. I watched him from the waiting room and was impressed by his efforts. It took him about 20 minutes to fix the tire and by that time they had closed the day. Job was finally completed after 2.5 hours, not a good experience at all. Noticed the next afternoon that I was missing a center cap from one of my wheels. Called local shop and was told it was nowhere to be seen. Had to call the national customer service which was a joke from the start trying to talk with someone. Their call back system is far from good, because when they do call back the call automatically drops. He insisted we own a Honda Accord. We own a Fit. We gave him our papers from the purchase. He got frazzled once he saw we had the paperwork. He obviously did not expect us to have proof of purchase. They wouldn't try patching the tire correctly and we had to get a new tire. The warranty didn't cover much on a new tire. The attitude of the clerk was that he didn't recognize us from two hours earlier. It seemed as if he was trying his best not to cover us. We won't be buying any tire here in the future.
