This is now the SECOND review I leave for this Jiffy Lube. First was on google, 3 months ago. Today my step daughter went on her own and was told her battery was at zero therefore she needed it replaced ASAP. She was charged $309.00 for a battery on a 2015 Nissan Sentra! This location is notorious for upselling customers and it's unfortunate that they took advantage of a young girl that has no knowledge of these things. Really quick service. Had no wait time on a weekday. Reason for one star is that I specifically asked for only an oil change so I was expecting to pay 50 to 60 bucks for it. But when it's time to pay, my charge was around 130 because they did a full inspection/service on the car without my knowledge. Be aware if you are a woman coming into this jiffy lube! Ask for an estimate beforehand or have your husband/partner come to this location with you. They will rip you off if you're a woman! It's a shame that these men get away with this. I have a pet peeve. But before I vent, let me say that the staff at SW 269 Street and S. Dixie Highway in Homestead are ok. I'm not directing this at them. I went in for an oil change on Friday, February 11th. I received one of those postcards. You can get $20 off an oil change. I brought my own oil (Castrol) and a Fram filter. I was told the discount doesn't apply if the customer doesn't use Jiffy Lube's oil. As it is, the oil change was $44 plus tax. Why am I paying so high or is that the going rate? Please don't send me any more "postcards" or e-mails, which I'm receiving from Jiffy Lube on an almost weekly basis. Sorry for the negative response, but if I'm going to get charged that amount even if I brought my own oil AND if I'm not eligible for the discount, I suppose I could bring the car anywhere else. read more

My car was in desperate need for an oil change. I decided to go with a Groupon and was pleasantly surprised that they had a $20 special for a Jiffy Lube close to home. Now being a woman I've ran into the stereo typical male(no offense) trying to convince me that my car needs synthetic oil and a whole bunch of other things like I don't know my car or any better but I was prepared. I knew from getting all my past oil changes that although synthetic oil was best for my car that the regular oil would do. And being that I've maintained my car pretty well and have taken it constantly to be serviced at my dealership,I knew just a simple.oil change would do. When I first pulled up they took me in right away. I explained I had a groupon and the employee let me know right away if I had just purchased it that it would take an hour to go through. Lucky me I had purchased it since the morning so I was ready. They employee went over the sevices and of course right away checked the synthetic oil ($80 ) and I advised again about the groupon and that the trypical oil change would do. I thought the pressure was about to kick in but he just asked me if I've had it done before and let me know as long as I was comfortable with that they would get straight to servicing my car. No pressure at all. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and I only had to pay an additonal $3 fee for getting rid of the oil or something. Either way I was happy with the quick no pressure service and would indeed come back again for their swift service. I should mention there is the small entrance/waiting area but the AC is set on cool, there's a flatscreen TV, hot coffee, and super comfy cushioned seats. Besides you won't be waiting long so enjoy the small perks as you wait. read more

I took my car for an oil change. what thief's they are first they wanted to charge me $199 for an oil change when I pay always 135. then they left my coolant light on . put more coolant they are trying to tell me is my sensor . next they didnt re set my computer . spoke with the manager who was not much help. everyone stay away from this particular jiffy lune. I recommend the jiffy lube in 8 st Kendal or the one on Flagler. I will never return to this one. read more

Fakes and more fakes reviews. This place is a garbage. They are thieves my husband got his car on Saturday for a regular oil change they suggested to change the transmission fluid as well, as soon as my husband left the place he started to notice a change in power also the engine light turn on, he took the car back and they change it the fluid again and they were trying to figure it out what they messed up finally they told him that he needs to take the car to a certified mechanic because they didn't have an idea. My husband took the car to a Nissan dealer and now the repair is around $4000 they said they will run with the bill. They now are going back and forth with excuses to not paid to get his car fixed but the way car that they were responsible and they know the lady Maybi and the manager Victor they keep telling that yes they will get the car fix with one of their mechanic btw they didn't have any back when they broke the car. People please go to google and look for real reviews and run away from this company specially from this specific place is they messed up something they won't help you and you're fu...k basically. I was up early to get my oil changed on my car it was wonderful service from the gentleman in the work area explained everything beautifully made the suggestion as needed and worked on the car quickly. When it came time to pay I was going to be using a Groupon that my husband bought for me. My husband had bought the Groupon on his account and printed out the coupon for me to use when I went to pay the cashier told me that I could not use a printed coupon because she did not know if it was stolen or if I had made other photocopies and giving it out to my whole family. The Groupon clearly states either print or bring in on app. I explain this to her and she told me they did not have any form of knowing if the Groupon had been used. I felt accused of something that in no way had I done. After a long conversation she excepted the coupon but said she wouldn't be able to ever do it again Jiffy Lube anD Groupon have to get this together. ** update on review early Monday morning I received a call from a Jiffy Lube representative apologizing for the issue that I had at the center. The customer service here is horrible. The individual that checks you in try's to talk to you like your idiot. They are extremely rude and disrespectful here and seem to have a attitude for no reason. Did they change my oil? Yes. But customer service makes a place. Been using Jiffy Lube for years and this is sad or maybe it's just the Florida location which explains a lot. Advise all to stay away. Convenient. Most times after leaving work I take US-1 home as to avoid tolls and by doing so I came across this gem. If you have a Groupon app you'll find that participating JL's offer a $20-$25 deal that allows for an oil change, inspection, car vacuuming, and topping off of key fluids. They also clean your windows. The entire staff here are welcoming and conduct their duties in a timely fashion. The process has never been too time consuming for me. They also try to provide you with honest advice and while they do want to push their services, they don't manipulate your car so that you can return to them, spending more cash. (I'm only stating that because it happened to me at another JL location). read more

I have been coming here consistently mainly because of discounts offered thru Groupon for oil change (usually just $20) but I have to say that the customer service and the way they treat you (like family) have earned my trust and confidence as great service providers. They don't mind If I come every time with a discount coupon (as long as you follow the small print on your cupón). I have over 20 years of auto mechanic experience and the recommendations given for maintenance (such as basic air filter changes and other oil change services such as transmisión and power steering) are always on the spot (for the mileage) and they don't over charge you for the services. For every item that they have recommended me I have verified prices with Auto Zone and Pep-Boys and others and the prices are the same or lower. So, that being the case, I go ahead and let them change it for a small fee and get it over with and I know my cars are in good hands. BTW, they are great with military personnel and they always have coffee :) read more

BEWARE! Got an oil change and not only did they try to sell me all sorts of additional items for vehicle I didn't need, the OIL FILTER they used was defective and FELL OFF! On my way to work all the oil drains out of my engine so my motor freezes up--I have my car towed to the mechanic and he finds my filter hanging there and oil splattered all over under my vehicle. Pulled in at 11:20 was greeted immediately, car pulled into work bay and I was escorted inside. The paperwork was quick and straight forward. By 11:30 I was called over and given the sales pitch. To my surprise it was quick, painless, and matter of fact. No pressure to add on additional work. I mentioned that I had a coupon I found online and was told to present it when paying. At 11:42 I was called to the window, presented my coupon, paid, and was told of all that was done to the car. I can attest to fluids and tires being filled, carpet was vacuumed and filters checked. My mother tried to get her oil changed here, however, when she came home there was no oil! My father checked and they pretty much just scammed my mom and took her money. This place is a scam! I usually get my oil change for $60 elsewhere and this place is really close to my home and they told me at first when I was at the store it would be $85. And then when I called to see if my car was done they said it was $132 and I said I was not paying that because they told me it was $85. Once I said that, he said oh he dropped it to $107. Not only did they make me wait for more than 3 hours because the broke a piece off, but the same piece was not put on properly and all the oil leaked out! These people don't know how to put a car in drive( change gear from parking to drive) . After 1 hour trying to move my car from the bay, they call me to ask if there were something wrong with my transmission MB E350 . There were 3 employees trying to move my car. One of the managers told " I have worked with cars since I was 18, Something have to be wrong with your car" I told him you don't know what you're doing!!!!! With those cars the only thing you have to do is to press down the gear stick to put the car in drive!!! I guess is to much for them!!! They were forcing the transmission... I have always gone to Jiffy Lube to get my oil changed. My husband, a Marine, left me with his truck so I could take it in to get his oil changed. It was a normal visit, fast service, I used a Groupon, everything went fine I thought, and I was on my way. Fast forward to the next day on his way home from work, I get a phone call from my husband that his truck has completely stopped on the Turnpike dead in its tracks. This has never happened, this truck is his baby and he treats it as such, he's had it since he came home from Boot Camp... which is longer than we've been together so it's his first love if you get what I'm saying?! Anyway, He manages to somehow get it started again and limps the vehicle to a nearby gas station, looks under the vehicle, knowing it had to be something with the oil change from the day prior because we have had NO issues ever before. The oil filter was hanging off of the bottom and the trickle of remaining oil was spilling out of the bottom of the pan. The receipt from the oil change was still on the passenger seat, so he called and the manager from this jiffy lube who told him to call a nearby Jiffy Lube to get them to come triage the truck. The diagnosis was clear as soon as the Jiffy Lube manager from nearby came and checked out the dead truck. The second manager got the truck to start by jumping the battery (which overloads when you try to start it and the engine doesn't turn over...?), had my husband follow him to the Jiffy Lube nearby, change the oil again, and ran the vehicle, but said it had probably already done systemic damage. It was making grinding noises and generally was in pretty bad shape. By that time the regional manager was involved because my husband requested his information, this manager advised us to take it to someone we trusted to get a diagnosis. The truck wouldn't go more than a mile down the road so we had it towed. A few days later we got a call from the dealership we had it towed to saying we had complete lower engine failure. Almost two weeks later I'm writing this review because now we have to get Jiffy Lube to reimburse us for all of the towing and diagnostic expense, as well as waiting for them to get another mechanic to find and install an engine with comparable mileage in my husband's prized possession... because it was either that or take the salvage value of the truck, which for a sentimental item that wasn't an option for my husband... but I'm skeptical it'll be good work and am at a complete loss. I know it's a nationwide chain and they are trusted to do what they say they will, but I will never be returning to another Jiffy Lube, especially not this one. I don't know how anyone would be able to prevent this either... bad luck of the draw I suppose. Pfft! read more

I went on a Saturday and it was super packed but I was still able to be in and out in less than 40 minutes. I had to get a some filters replaced as well. There are a couple of ladies that work there too that are super helpful. I used to go to the dealer until they ruined my car, I'll be back here for the rest of my oil changes. Went to this location after purchasing the Groupon offering an oil change originally priced at $43.99 for $20. As soon as I pulled up, I was told what it was going to cost since my vehicle takes synthetic oil. I advised her that I had purchased the Groupon, she wanted to know if I'd already bought it or was GOING to buy it now that I was there, I told her it was ALREADY bought. She tells me that in addition to the $20 I'd paid to Groupon, I'd owe an additional $39.99 +tax because the oil change is priced at $79.99. I was immediately baffled because the deal was 55% off. Needless to say, I left because I wasn't going to pay $60+ for an originally priced $79.99 synthetic oil change that was advertised as 55% off. They simply use Groupon to bring business in the door and get more money than advertised. I used the deal for Valvoline, $49.99 for a synthetic oil change, originally priced at $109, located in the Hammocks. BEWARE!!! read more
