Tim's Auto Repair & Service

July 3 2019 Super impressed with the service at Tim's:…read more My Dad had just arrived from a 20 hr drive, to meet his new grand baby, with his two dogs and 77 year old sister in tow. He flipped a u-turn at the light and his whole engine seized up. 5:30 am was a terrible time to get a phone call about what happened. Luckily AAA was able to get a wonderful tow service company to drive us to Tim's to drop off the car. I had found Tim's on Yelp with great reviews. Never had been there but knew of it, as we have drove passed it a few dozen times before. It was also convenient because it was right down the street from the hotel where my dad was staying. We made it there 5 minutes after opening. I went in while my dad finished up with the tow truck. I explained the situation. They were understanding of the but apologetic, as they were fully booked till Monday next week! My heart sunk. However, they told me they could get the car a diagnostic test to see what the problem was, since it was early enough to get it looked at. Apparently there were a few other people from out of town needing their car fixed just as quick as we needed our done. At that point I figured we would just have it towed to another shop. Jeff and (I believe) Ray were the ones who helped us. They were extremely friendly and gracious. I received a call as a back up, around 2pm. They found the issue. Minor compared to what we thought it was. They said since it was a smaller repair they could have the parts and car fixed by 4:30!!! I was ecstatic. They knew our dyer situation and were able to work it out. My dad was so grateful for the speedy service they provided. THANK YOU TIM'S Auto Repair Service, you saved my dad's trip from being a total disaster.

Felt very uncomfortable there as a woman. They didn't seem like they wanted business. Mike did give…read moreme a ride back home, which was nice, but they called me 30 minutes after I dropped off my car to tell me that they couldn't even run a diagnostic because they don't have the "new" coolant or whatever for my 10 year old car. Not sure if they only work on cars that aren't this decade, but not helpful & a complete waste of my time!

Little Man Auto Care

Little Man Auto Care

HONEST & TRUSTWORTHY! I had my wife car in for a front brake job as I was sure it was time. Brett…read moretold me he would do a brake inspection and would call to advise. I left stating he didn't need to call and just go ahead and do it. WELL, Bret called and told me that the front was 60% worn and rear @ 90 % and no need to replace yet. Brett was honest and said if it was his wife's car he would not replace yet. Brett showed great character as I would have never known unless he was honest. It's my first time at Little Man Auto and I have found a trustworthy shop to do repairs on our vehicles now. So glad I went there and when it's time he'll be the one to fix any repairs & keep our cars maintained. This kind of integrity is so rare these days!

I went in for a full synthetic oil change for my V8 truck. They said they use NAPA oil filters but…read moreI inspected it afterwards and it didn't even have a brand; just a part number on a plain white canister. And it was cheap: $7.99 on the invoice. Napa filters are black and say "Napa Gold" and cost about $14. My biggest concern is whether the filter has a silicone anti-drainback valve for cold weather starts. I interviewed the service advisor about when to change my transmission fluid, transfer case fluid, and rear differential fluid since the Ram owner's manual says they are good for the life of the vehicle (huh??). He asked me if I towed with it and gave me transmission intervals of 60k miles for that or 75k miles; that seemed like an intelligent answer, and a reasonable interval. Other shops have tried to upsell me on premature service (30k mile intervals for those three) that I don't need and we all know why. Little Man went ahead and inspected the three fluids and we discovered an issue with the rear differential. I asked to look at the fluid and it showed cloudy fragments of suspected metal so I authorized a fluid change. They recommended I come back after 500 miles to take off the cover plate and inspect the gears, changing the fluid of course in the process. Could be simply initial wear-in from the factory but we will see. I'm looking for a partner shop to work with now that my truck is out of warranty and I am still evaluating LIttle Man Auto. Their shop looked clean and well organized. Pricing for the oil change was competitive with other shops. BTW if you go there, the shop is located BEHIND Bros Auto.
