The good side: Quick service. Courteous techs. The bad: 1) MIsleading advertising stating 50% off oil change. 2) Very expensive. Overpriced upcharges. When I arrived the greeter quoted a total of approx $130.00 for the service. After checking the vehicle the tech mentioned the antifreeze was a couple ounces low, so he topped off the antifreeze with about 6oz of the solution. This brought the bill up to $160.87 (utilizing the $25 discount coupon). Greeter "forgot" to mention, when initially asked about the "all in" price that the taxes are not included and tech didn't mention the $2/oz for the antifreeze. read more

I came in for an oil change, but I felt especially taken advantage of because I am a girl who doesn't know much about cars. And I saw the eye rolls. I was talked into getting my tires rotated, but after I left I immediately noticed something was wrong and if I drove past 60 mph, my car would shake. Basically, they never should have rotated my tires. They also told me my serpentine belt was in terrible condition. But after having at least 5 people look at it, that was not the case at all. What was supposed to only be just an oil change, ended up costing me way more than I could have imagined. And my feelings hurt. read more

This place does everything !!!! Sometimes, these places can be very shady. I've been told several things and been treated like I don't know anything about my automobile. But I'm very knowledgeable. I never once felt like this gentleman we're trying to sway me or convince me that I needed something that I did not. Everyone that I encountered was outstanding from the greeter in the front to the head mechanic. The manager even came over and did a little table touch as we refer in the restaurant business. Took my car Sat am early told the all I wanted was standard oil change, please do not check anything on my car, just oil change,and to please do not top off. I had a coupon that includes 5 qt of oil and I know my car takes more. The guy that walked out with me said ok, told me my car takes syn oil and I needed a tire rotation. I said not this one and I walked in behind him and he told me to just have a seat. There were people in waiting room so kinda busy. I went back to car, put my business card and coupon on steering wheel, and walked over to Sams. I come back, they say my car is ready and asked if I had a coupon. I said yes $20 off, I left on wheel and guy put in a code to take the $20 off.Thanks I said. My bill showed that my car took 7.8 qts and they put it in and charged me $14.80 .When I asked about it the manager said we don't let the cars leave "Not right, so if you are going to top off, have the oil with you." The guy that walked me in could have and should have told me that then. Lesson learned. I do not mind going there when I have a $20 coupon, bc that makes a oil change with tax around $31 out the door, but they try to scare you into getting or buying everything they have in there. Went in for a pre road trip oil change. Wound up getting double charged, no biggy, got a fairly prompt refund. The issue is that the oil plug wasn't put back in properly. I was in the middle of Montana when it wiggled itself the rest of the way out. There was so much smoke. I had NO signal, nada. Had to wait for help and then backtrack on my trip over an hour and stay the night in a random town to wait for a dealership to fix it. Never again. read more

Beware! If you are female or over 50, this place will try to take advantage of you. This shop has really gone downhill between Summer 2020 and Fall 2021. Took my Kia Soul in for a quick drive-thru oil change during the days of the pandemic. They claimed my car needed all kinds of repairs like a $120 radiator service, etc. etc. I left, drove straight to the MB Kia dealership and paid them to check my car over thoroughly. The only thing they recommended was replacing the rear wiper blade. They confirmed what I already knew--all the "repairs" Jiffy Lube recommended had been done recently at the 60,000 mile scheduled maintenance. That's sad because I had a positive first experience here in early 2020. But apparently they have a new manager now. read more

There was no pricing so we ASSume it would only be 50 tops next thing you know we are in a line we can't back out of. Then after we were there for 20 min. We get pulled in. Only for it to take another 20 minutes and at the end they charge $97 and that was with $15 off. $20 groupon was a good deal. I had to pay extra for a quart of oil, since my vehicle holds 6 quarts, plus a oil disposal fee. They showed me my cabin air filters, that needed replacing (they were pretty bad), but it was $40, so I bought them somewhere else, and installed them myself. (after watching a youtube video). I was there about 45 minutes, so the wait time was pretty low. They cleaned my outside windshield, but there were streaks all across it when I left. (not a good job) All in all, I was satisfied with the service, and they were very professional. read more

Brought my daughters car in for oil and filter service. No problem with service but totally disappointed in their up sell process. I have over 50 years experience servicing cars myself and I know what my car needs and what it absolutely does not need.Before I brought the car in I removed and inspected the air filter myself. There was no damage and all the pleats were perfect, like new. When they did their up sell, they presented me with an air filter that was physically altered by hand to look like it needed replacement. This is the most inept attempt to sell someone something they didn't need I have ever experienced at Jiffy lube. I should have had them replace it with a new one at their expense. Too dismayed to think of it at the time, but this will be my last visit to Jiffy Lube ever. Dishonest and unprofessional. read more

If they had a zero they would get it. Told me valve cover leaking ,estimate $725 said no, goes in office comes back $625.00 , leak is pretty bad. Estimates for rear gasket, have to take intake off . Rear gasket had been replaced, front gasket leak do not have to pull intake. Got no repair, so they overtighen oil plug and stripped oil pan threads, now need to replace oil pan. STAY AWAY !! I am pleased with this Jiffy Lube. I've gone there several times for oil changes, and they've always done a great job (and done it quickly and professionally). The employees have always been friendly and attentive, and I've never had any problems with my services. This last time, I even got an unexpected bonus, when one of the techs fixed a disconnected wiper-fluid hose, thus giving me my sprayers back -- and at no extra charge! I took my car to Jiffy Lube and had my oil changed. The price was outrageous. Not only was the price high, but I have had to take my car back to Jiffy Lube four times, because my oil will not stop leaking. I just took it back on Monday and on Tuesday it was leaking again. When I spoke to the assistant manager, about how angry I was, he didn't seem to care, he did say that they would take care of me and fix the problem, but that didn't happen and my oil is still leaking. Red carpet treatment. Literally. So I just moved down into the area and went looking for an oil change place that has reasonable prices, that was also open on Saturday. Well after finding a coupon online and seeing the few reviews for this jiffy lube, I decided to check it out. (mind you I did look for other places, and let's say they do not fair well in the review department) so back on track. Right as I arrive they where busy for the size of the store, 3 bays. A worker came out, opened my door and walked me in. After all was said and done, it was about 30 min from start to finish, which was nice because most places is an hour plus. They never tried to up sell me anything, and never once tried to change my mind with what I asked. After paying they walk you to your car a roll out a mini red carpet and thank you for your business. Probably the best dedicated oil change outfit between Pawleys and Joe White/10th Ave. I appreciate being able to get tires rotated while the oil is being done, and that the crew starts cleaning and topping off fluids while the car is in line for the service bay. My experience with this Jiffy Lube was 5 star. I have never experienced this level of customer service at ANY business I've ever visited IN MY ENTIRE 52 YEAR LIFE! Read on an see if you have. Upon arriving, I was greeted AT MY CAR by Traven, the young man who serviced my vehicle. He walked me inside and immediately saw to my needs. Although there were 4 customers in the waiting room, Traven informed me my oil change would only take 15 minutes. I timed it. It took 18 minutes. And only because I added a few things. Although my vehicles computer indicated an oil change was needed, after inspecting my vehicle, Traven informed me my oil was quite clean and he believed I didn't need to change it for another 1000 miles. That level of honesty in a service business is much too rare & more so in Myrtle Beach, were tourists are often fleeced. I decided to have the oil changed anyway. While Traven serviced my vehicle, Bryce stepped in & went over other possible maintenance requirements their inspection indicated. Add on services are expected when having an oil change. I had them add transmission fluid for $3 and replace a windshield wiper blade for $14. All services were completed quickly in full view of the customers waiting room which is separated from the garage area by a large glass wall. When paying, I was informed that I could have all my fluids checked & topped off & my tire pressures tested FOR FREE! for as long as I owned the vehicle. A great way to retain customers. Everything compIete, I was walked to my car and a red carpet was literally unfurled for me to step on as I entered my vehicle. I'm a Myrtle Beach resident since 1998 and local business owner. The personal service had me curious & so I asked some questions: Do they great everyone at their car? Yes. I watched as other arrived. They do. Why do they greet everyone at their car? Because that's what they were trained to do. Are either Traven or Bryce owners or managers? No. Just regular employees happily doing their jobs. I have tried many oil change services in the past. Service was unprofessional the apparent manager on duty joe was very nice inside talking to me but was extremely disrespectful to one of the employees to the point the employee said he didn't need this job that he could find another. After the verbal altercation the employee looked like he had no will to keep work after being disrespected to the point he was. This is the letter I wrote to Jiffy Lube. Please take the time to read it before you get Ripped Off too!!! I went to Jiffy Lube in Myrtle Beach today for an oil change. # 3340. The man knew I was disabled because I told him I didn't want to bend over to look under the car because I was disabled. When he was listing things I needed, the price on his computer was 299 something. When I went up to pay the price was 726.76!!!!! That is Outrageous. I am Disabled. I only get paid once a month and now I have Zero Money Now!! They should show AND tell you what the price is every single time they add something on!!!~ If he had Ever Told me the price was over 700.00 I would have said "No, Thank you" and brought my car to my mechanic!!!! This entire situation is WRONG. I was ripped off and I had No Clue until I had to pay the bill. What if I didn't have 700.00??? I am going to go file a claim against you in small claims court on Tuesday. Do I file a claim against Jiffy Lube in General or that specific store? I am angry and appalled that I was taken advantage of. What was done to me is Not Right. The guys at this Jiffy Lube were superb! We had to get a plastic covering taken off of our car that was dragging from underneath and we arrived a few minutes after they closed. Not only did they take care of the part for us, even though they had just closed, they also didn't charge us for the labor and they disposed of the part, too.
