To make matters worse, the signage in the lobby (and industry standard) outlines that topping off washer fluid and checking tire pressure are included. I specifically asked for both, despite them being posted on the wall as inclusive, and neither were performed. Why advertise services if you're not going to follow through? Oil changes and car service shops like this often thrive on predatory upselling, particularly when they sense a customer might be less informed. It's despicable and I don't take it lightly. The WORST. ever since a new manager, Matt or Matthew took over. I had one bad experience previously when high school students were hired over a summer but other than that it was always excellent. Not any more. the list is long and I tried twice to talk to Matt about the problems, he acted like he would check with his general manager and get back to me, never did. oh he did offer after the first call, that I would get 50 percent off on th next oil change, hah. like I would trust him. Did not fill the empty window washer fluid and when I showed them this ( I was still there) it was like pulling teeth to get them to do this. they checked all the boxes on their form though, no washer fluid, no air in tires, no sticker on window, did not re set "change oil " notification so it constantly pops up and frankly I do not think they changed the oil. I will go somewhere else and it will not be a jiffy lube. He seemed like a nice guy but needs a different job. read more

The Miller Avenue location - The oil change itself was done well, and a bit overpriced. The personal -customer service part of it , could use some work... . The mechanics/technicíans were talking amongst themselves while at work in the work place, however forgot that the walls are thin, easily audible in the wait room.. Blatant with their f ... this and sh.. Words you simply do not use when out in public/service places. Besides that, they did not return my car key with payment - had to ask for it after they drover "my ready to go" car out onto the drive way upon being serviced. Car floors were not entirely vacuumed like i had been told they would.. Lastly, however worked in the inside of my car, they had the odasity to go through my glove compartment! They could have inquired with me before if they were in need of any paperwork? We needed tires pumped on our truck and it was very nice of the staff to get us in, let us pump tires, and go, even when they were very busy. It was right before dinner and we needed a quick tire pump, and Jiffy Lube made it seem simple. I recommend this place to others. read more

Stay away from this Jiffy Lube for oil changes. I brought my Prius here for its first oil change since I purchased it. It had no issues for 10,000 miles before the oil change. After spending over $100 for the oil change, the oil level was critically low less than a month of normal driving later. I brought it back to Jiffy Lube and they charged me for a "top up" and suggested something hit the bottom of the car and probably needed repair. After this visit the car hasn't had any issues. So they clearly made a mistake the first time and then charged me to fix it. Will not be returning, pretty scummy if you ask me. read more

well, its 2023 and my last 2019 review was so glowing I thought it necessary to re-visit. Over the last few years I've been noticing a dramatic change in as far as the staffing of this Mill Valley Jiffy Lube. Many different folks have come and gone. But my issue is not with that. Truthfully, I believe Jiffy Lube staff have been fulfilling the minimal checks that are described in their agreement and placards, specifically work to be done as part of the Signature Oil Change Service. However, this visit, today, I had to ask two of the guys 3 times if the fluids under the hood would be checked. One guy was slowly cleaning the windows. Strange as I just came from the car wash. It was obvious. this worker and one other spent about 1/3 of their time looking at their cell phones while leaning against my truck or walking around the entrance lot. However, a third worker was diligently working on the wiper blades of another vehicle. Later, this gentleman came in and spoke with that owner. Whew! A fourth worker, one who is a regular, was in the pit changing my oil. Double-Whew! I knew at least my oil would be changed. The first two workers walked away about half-way through when the 3rd worker came over and popped the hood finally and checked the brake fluid, windshield wiper fluids. Triple-whew! He then asked me if I wanted him to check the corrosivity of the brake fluid and explained to me why that is significant, and after showing me the test strip recommended I think about a brake fluid flush. At least two people were actually working this day. This is very very very different than what the personnel USED to do which was to swarm all over the car checking everything and calling everything out as they did it. Before, the workers would find things that might need work outside of Jiffy Lube, or recommend I come in at a time to take care of something that was more critical and would take more time. Not so much anymore. It's more important now to make sure folks actually do their job sometimes, and doubly so at this Jiffy Lube. Sad. read more

I dropped the car off with no warning lights lit up and when I picked it up my brake light, my ABS light and my VSC lights were all on! The mechanic said "the lights were already on" BS now my ABS brakes don't work and they won't do a thing about it! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!!!! read more

Did I just almost pay $100 for a lube job today? Sadly, yes. Jiffy Lube - what happened? I was re-reading my positive reviews from a few years ago - back then a lube job was just $57. For that reasonable price, I could get my oil changed, fluids updated, tires pumped, and carpets vacuumed for about $57 in about 30-45 minutes. Plus, if you presented your coupon from their website, you could save 10 bucks. So paying $50 seemed like a really good deal for car maintenance. So today when I went in if for my car's annual "check-up," I was admittedly sticker-shocked when I received the final bill. They were gonna charge me $99.99 (no joke). Fortunately, I printed off their $16 coupon, so my total bill (after tax) was $87.87. But WOW! Did you guys switch out my regular oil for magic unicorn juice? You didn't even perform all the usual things (eg my carpets weren't vacuumed, and nobody checked on my lights). Perhaps this is just how things are now in the time of Covid. So maybe they've had to increase their prices. And if that's indeed the case, I understand. But wow - $40 for pouring oil into my engine and $50+ for labor for a job that took 10 minutes. I went to Jiffy Lube in Mill Valley for an oil change. I told the attendant/manager that I needed an A1 as indicated on my screen. He said," So you want the same as last time?" I replied, "Yes, if it's an A1." Imagine my surprise when I walk into the office to pay and I see that the oil change should have been under $90 for the type of oil I needed. I came here for an Uber inspection. My car is in perfect shape. always get signed off by my regular mechanic. I've noticed a lot of mechanics like to find a little things they can nitpick to make money off of you when you do an Uber inspection. They usually look at the wiper blades. Every time I've done an Uber inspection not at my normal mechanic, they run the wiper blades and then when there are a few dots left on the windshield behind the wiper blade they say it's unsafe and that I have to buy new wiper blades from them. It's a racket. No common sense at all whatsoever. read more

This business is first come first serve and I'm unable to make an appointment, which is fine. However, It's impossible to get in touch with anyone by phone at this location as nobody answers the phone. This past Tuesday 11/2/21 I had to go in person to let them know no one answers the phone and they looked surprised. Someone told me to call their number to check, so I called and sure enough the ringer was not on but I was kind enough to help them fix that. However, I've been calling on and off since then to see how busy they are too gauge how long my approximate wait time might be to replace my windshield wipers and they are back to not answering their phone. The most basic expectation of any customer service to keep communication channels open to customers and I really hope this Jiffy Lube location begins to understand this. As soon as I pulled into a parking space, Eric ran out to help me. Not only did they have the bulb, but he replaced it for me in about 5 minutes! Mom was concerned that her car was overdue for an oil change. Eric went through the records and assured mom that her car had been serviced routinely for the last 4 years. I was definitely a bit cautious due to the reviews, but I'm really glad I came here for an oil change. I've been going to different Jiffy Lube locations around the South Bay, so this is my first time trying out a location in the North Bay. My car badly needed an oil change and I figured to take it anywhere convenient. Luckily, I checked online before I came in and saw a coupon for $10 off. It was close to home and price was comparable to other places I've been checking out (my car needed synthetic oil so I would've ended up paying ~$60). Right when I came in everyone was super accommodating and since I've been there before they were able to pull up my information easily. Their waiting room was clean, offered water & coffee. There is a bathroom. I think I waited about ~20 minutes and it was done! I forgot they vacuum your car (complimentary) so that was great. Overall, smooth and easy process. Knew the price before I was coming in, no surprises. Will def be back! read more

If you're like me and refuse to waste an hour of my life on an oil change - this is a good place. Search online for coupons up to $15 off. I don't often take my car in for its oil change, so I can't tell you how this place compares to others. I can tell you that the guys outside are nice and they will check more than you want - wipers, lights, fluids, wheels, possibly breaks too. The downside is that you may spend more money than you want to get a service better provided by your own mechanic ie tire rotation and brake pad replacement. MY EXPERIENCE I came here before reading the other reviews because I've had positive experiences here in the past. I'm hopeful that after having them rotate my tired, top off my fluids and change my oil, that my service was as good as it was in the past. RESPONSE TO BAD REVIEWS It would be nice to hear a managers response to the stream of complaints, except that in litigation, of course. I'm hoping that they had taken subsequent remedial measures like replacing negligent staff, but I'd like confirmation of this before I return...it would also ease my mind around my last visit. SCENE Inside, they have Starbucks pod-coffee with that scary powdered creamer, sugar, big flat-screen tv, magazines, and a bunch of chairs. I didn't touch their coffee or magazines, but I did catch about 15-20 minutes of Re-Bath Remodeling one time, and Bethanney on the other. Over the last few years I've had great service here. These guys are honest with me and actually take the time to look/assess what's going on with my 15yo bmw with occasional leaky fluid issues. They are fast and accurate with time guesstimations for car pick up. They aren't suggesting things I don 't need. If I drop in for a quick check they are happy to do this and top off fluids or whatever. They seem to work really hard and are always professional. To those complaining about the price (which is just stupid get a coupon out of your mailbox), it's a chain, these guys don't set prices - so if the negotiating is important to you for an oil change go to your self employed mechanic. The people working there are competent and terrific (they should receive a raise), it was smooth, and they even clean the car, check the lights, etc. everything it seems. This is my third visit since Friday. The didn't have my oil filter, but said the would by Saturday morning. Saturday 10:30 am, still no filter. Monday afternoon, they have the oil filter finally. Argumentative manager, so I demanded a discount. They lowered my tire pressure without asking, and I had to go back so they could correct that. These people, makes me wonder why they are employed. Beware of thieves! I brought my car in to get serviced after having purchased a reusable cabin air filter ($100). Trying to be considerate, I informed the oil tech that I had a new one and they didnt need to check the cabin air filter. After my oil was changed, I noticed a subtle dirty dusty smell, but thought nothing of it. Over the next week, my wife and I both noticed it an I decided to check the cabin air filter. ONE OF THOSE GUYS STOLE IT AND REPLACED IT WITH A DIRTY AIR FILTER!!! I left a voicemail and wrote the manager complaining, but got no response. He must be in cahoots with his kleptomaniac employees. I stopped in to Jiffy Lube this morning because I had planned to do a SMOG test to get my new CA played today, but when I got in my car this morning the oil change light was on, and I was positive I would be turned away at the SMOG test place. (Turns out I was mistaken - the "check engine" light and the "change your damn oil woman" lights are different things!) So, I went in and LITERALLY no more than seven minutes (and $125) later I was outta there (following the obligatory upsell of filters, yadda yadda...) I have been going here because it is near my house but never again. I am tired of being charged for work that I don't need. Once, during the oil change I was told that my car wouldn't start and needed a new battery. Since I had just driven the car there I doubted this and declined the work. The car started fine! Also, they never put a service sticker on my windshield until I ask. And what is this charade about the coupons? Just knock $30 off the oil change and charge what is reasonable for an oil change. read more
