I stopped for a spur of the moment oil change. I waited in my car while the work was performed. I know I got new oil as I watched the pour it in, but I never saw anyone checking my tire inflation, asking me to turn on the lights and blinkers to see if all were working or top off any of my fluids. Oil change, that's it. No other service performed although my receipt indicates everything was done "as" needed. Huh. It was 430pm when I rolled in and they probably wanted to go home. read more

They smiled and said, "hello", asked us what service we wanted, took our credit card, and said, "bye". No other communication what-so-ever. Nothing about tire pressure, air filter, etc... They had us in and out in less than 15 minutes and we thought it was too quick and our oil tells us why. We checked our oil an hour later and it's filthy. We usually change our oil regularly and on time, so it would seem they just topped us off for $100.00. We are stopping on the way to see if a new oil filter was even placed. I will give an update. In addition, we were not given a new sticker and our maintenance light was not reset ( no big deal, but they usually do reset the light). Never going back to McMinnville JL. We will go to Valvoline, or trek to JL in Newberg. read more

I had a flat tire over the holidays when every other business was closed. The staff at Jiffy Lube was very kind and generous with their time. They weren't able to fix the tire, but they took time to investigate and find the problem and then carefully inflated my tire so I could get safely home -- all for free! I expect the routine up-selling of products like filters, etc. What I don't expect is someone trying to sell me tires when I literally drove to Jiffy Lube from Les Schwab where I purchased two new tires twenty minutes previously. How in the world should I need new tires after driving on them for one mile? Then they pulled me in and I sat there for almost 10 minutes without anyone saying anything, except verifying I wanted a oil change. Very casual, no sense of urgency or anybody moving quickly at all. I took my car into my local Jiffy Lube to get an oil change and radiator flush. I ended up paying $20.00 more than I was told it would be on the phone. The people are friendly there, and my car did run less hot after the flush, but, they need to work on honoring the price they said it would be on the phone. read more

I took my one ton diesel in, they changed out the 15 quarts that it takes and I left. Two weeks later I checked the oil and it wasn't showing on the stick. I check under the truck, dripping heavily from the drain plug. I tightened it, leak stopped but not before losing five quarts of oil. If i had driven the truck without checking it would have shut down an eight thousand dollar motor. I called Jiffy Lube and told them and got this response: 1 - Sorry sir, we have no record of you being here. You must have the wrong store. reply - I am looking at a windshield sticker with your name and address on it from 2 weeks ago. 2 - Let me check security footage and get back to you 3 - No security footage, we were wrong to suggest we could check. But, we found your invoice. 4 - Our quality control is second to none, I don't think we would have left your drain plug loose. I've been in the car industry for about a decade. For both service and sales. I often get coupons for $20 oil changes and take my cars in for oil changes here when the deals run. You can't beat that price doing it even yourself most of the time these days. It's like a loss leader for them. They hope to get additional sales off of it. Unfortunately for them that's all I'm going for as I perform my maintenance myself. What I appreciate about this though is they are non-pressuring when recommending additional items for me. I would know if they were giving me a run around or not for repairs I don't need. In fact, sometimes I like to see if a place catches something I know about already or not. These guys are on top of it. They're helpful, Courteous, informative and fast. I know there's other places you can go for work in town but they live up to the name and get you in and out promptly. read more

I pull up for an oil change for a road trip across the state and they change the oil for me and when I reach my destination, there's barely any oil at the end of the dipstick...I add my own oil and it's been 2 months and it hasn't gone down. Crappy service, better off making a trip up to Tigard at Fast Lane Oil change or staying at home and spending 4 hours learning how to do it yourself...waste of $60. read more

I have been going to Jiffy Lube for many years in different cities. For the most part, I think they do a good job although they have extremely high turnover. My experience last week in McMinnville, OR was the worst. I will never return to that franchise again. I complained in detail in their post-visit, on-line survey. Still waiting to hear from someone. So I stop in to change my oil, and they proceed to do what all Lube places do, only these guys are doing it 10 times worse. Trying to sell every extra service they have, trying to trick you into accepting a service that is not included in the standard package, recommending synthetic oil, radiator flushes, yanking parts out from under the hood to show them to you. One particular part they removed I have never before or since seen a lube place take out to show me. And really, I dont consider 35 minutes a 'jiffy'. read more

They were great at jiffy lube! Very informative and didn't apply any pressure on me about receiving services. They let me know what was going on in a professional manner and explained what could happen if the issue was not taken care of but in no way did I feel uncomfortable. Would definitely continue to go here for maintenance! They also threw in some promotions for me, so I got a great deal! They made sure I was well aware of when to return for maintenance and even printed me multiple stickers so I would be back in time to get $15 off my next oil change. Great guys! read more

Actually stole from me, here's my story... I am an auto mechanic myself and I was working on my cousins truck and I left a $200 snap-on ratchet and socket under her truck Not the first time I have left a tool under a vehicle and unfortunately probably won't be the last time. Every mechanic has done this a time or two. I am fully aware that if I leave a tool under a vehicle I may not get it back, my loss. Any way, I sent my cousin a text so I can come by and look for the tool. I got to her house and it was gone. She said she went to Jiffy Lube to get her oil changed. I went to Jiffy Lube and was met by Redd. I mention his name cause he was the only honest one there. He said "Yes, I heard the guys talking about a tool they found and they have it" He went to the assistant manager and the assistant manager went down to look for it. He came up saying he couldn't find it. I am confused now and I told the assistant manager what Redd said to me. He went to call the manager and then went below again to look for it. He told me the manager didn't know anything about a tool found and didn't see anything the second look around. So I told the assistant manager I don't understand how it can survive the 23 mile drive to their location but not survive the 1 mile drive to my cousins house. Your guys said they found it and have it. So he went down for a third time to look again, and he came up with no tool. I am frustrated now cause in their words "we have it" I asked the assistant manager why if they found a tool, why would you not return it to the owner or driver of the vehicle. It's obviously not theirs. If you found the ratchet on the side of the freeway, by all means I would say it's yours cause you can't find the owner easily but the driver of the vehicle is sitting right there. Do the right thing. The assistant manager then told me that his guys have high integrity and are trust worthy. I then told him we are not done with this conversation. I would be back with a quote from my Snap-on dealer for the replacement. He took my number and would be in touch. Not 15 minutes later I received a call from the assistant manager saying he has my tools. I asked him how is that high integrity and trust worthy team working for you? He said he has to have a stern conversation with his crew. I was unable to go the next day but my son went for me to get my tool. He received my ratchet and socket with a loose apology. I have been to Jiffy Lube several times and didn't have any problems with them but this last Sunday was a different story. When I arrived there were 2 cars in the bay and 2 cars waiting, they got done with the 2 cars in the bay and moved the other 2 cars in. In the first bay the girl who was doing the service on that car was working hard and doing everything. The guy in the other bay seemed to be on slow motion and was distracted by his buddy showing up (who was being pulled over by the cops in the parking lot). He left the car he was working on to go out and take pictures of the buddy's car and the cop. Then the buddy (maybe he works there but wasn't in uniform) came in to the bay and was talking to his buddy. The service guy was changing out a battery but he needed a wrench and called out for it and then stood talking to his buddy for 5 mins before he went downstairs to get the wrench. Then he needed another one size of wrench that was in a toolbox in a covered area in the parking lot so the buddy went with him and they talked about the guys car. After that I decided after waiting for hour I was done and went to another place down the road. read more

I came in for a tire rotation and oil change and I was specific in saying that's all I needed. Everyone was very helpful but it came with a rock hard sell for things I didn't ask for and didn't want. Turn off for sure and wasted too much of my time doing things I didn't ask for. They removed my filters without permission, they check fluid levels without permission and the stripped a lug but and blamed it on my former car guys. Best is they said I needed immediate attention to my front and rear differentials. Van doesn't have differentials. Also said my engine coolant needed immediate exchange. Had it done last month. Told me my brakes were bad when I just had the car at Les Schwab ten minutes prior to have everything checked. It all checked out good. After I left there was a wire hanging down under my vehicle. I was a worker for jiffy lube under supervision of mike. mike had me do my safety classes and lower bay task on jiffy university after that on my second day of being hired had me running both bays with little to no training. he pulled me out from lower bay to scream at me till blue in the face because I forgot on bolt on a skid plate oh and did I mention in front of customers? how embarrassing my second day got yelled at in front of the customers then got sent home..... my third day I show up 10 minutes early to get a start and a good one. I clock in and have my Coffee then mike shows up and yells at me For not having on my work uniform and I was never let known that there was one in the first place he never spoke a word of it the first days of me working there not in my orientation nothing!!!!! so what do I do at this point ?? The WORST experience I have ever had!! I was there for over an hour and a half first of all. I only saw two guys working and then another two finally came out of the woodworks. There was only one car in the bay ahead of me, one beside me. I told the guy when he came to my window I had a coupon for a 24.99$ oil change. He said "yeah no problem we'll get ya taken care of". So I finally get into the bay, sit for ANOTHER HALF HOUR, they call my name to "cash me out" then explain they need to put in a "manufacturers recommended oil". I said no I have a coupon for $24.99 that's what I expected to pay. I also explained my father in law just passed away and I just need an oil change to drive down to Nevada. He continued to try to sell me the $69.99 or $99.99 oil. Then he basically said if I wasn't going to pay for the "recommended" they needed to get my car out and another car in. Then he proceeded to try to bring it down as "low as he could" as if he were doing me a favor. They hadn't even drained my oil tank. The guy had me get in and start the car. Then yelled oil was going in. They quickly hustled me out of the bay. I went to pull away and heard a rattling sound. I was already late to pick up my daughter, didn't think much of what I thought I heard. When I got to my destination about 10 miles away I heard an even louder scraping sound. I saw something hanging underneath my van. It was my lid to my oil pan. I had to have my dad fix it. Then I get down the road and my "oil change required" notification came on. I went in for an oil change. I heard the hard sell to the person in front of me for extra services so when my turn came up I shut that down pretty quickly. I recently discovered they failed to put all the screws back in the skid plate cover for the underside of the car. They only put about half the screws back in and I know all of them were there when I went in. Now I'll have to replace the screws and hopefully keep the cover from falling off. What a pain. Bruce and Brandon. And I know others worked there at the time but these two guys saved the day and I'm extremely grateful. I called in asking if they fixed flats. It was 6:00 when I called and they closed at 7:00. Got there at 6:10. Reason it was an emergency was because my spare was leaking at the rim and I had to have that vehicle operational. Pull in and they weren't just being fake or anything. My impression (after many years in customer service) was that they genuinely wanted to help. The guys were dripping sweat trying to get this done for me. Brandon was the guy who mounted the repaired tire and fixed the flat. Not a complaint or anything in his demeanor that would suggest being put out even though I know he didn't want to do that in the last half hour or so before closing. Got it mounted and everything and shook my hand and thanked me for coming in. I'm not saying that jiffy lube is some superior automotive place, but customer service like that is exactly what will make people go back even if the cost of fixing a flat is more than the normal tire store. And that customer service and intention by guys like Brandon and Bruce is what will make them have successful careers. Very grateful guys, seriously meant a lot! read more

My first time visiting this Jiffy Lube I was treated like a valued customer, by friendly and helpful technicians. They were knowledgeable and cared about the local community. When I asked about the price of fixing a rock chip that I got a few days before, they advised me that most insurance companies authorize the repair (with full coverage), got my insurance company on the line, obtained the necessary authorization, and fixed it on the spot. There was no sales pressure for extra items or service at all. Their signature service oil change is well worth it. I will return to this location for all of my oil changes on my "new to me" car. read more

They were very nice, or so I thought. BUT, they told me my front brake pads were "metal on metal" at about 3mm. It would cost $199 to replace them so it would be cheaper than Les Scwab, they said, because Les Schwab would insist on changing rotors, etc. I declined and drove over to Meineke. They did a free brake check and guess what? The guy said he would love to sell me brakes but mine looked perfect. He said I had a long way to go before anything needed to be done.
