Before you take your car to be serviced here(for anything), please read this review in full. It will save you time and money, trust me.
**Disclaimer: I did contact the store and also spoke with corporate before posting this review. I gave Jiffy Lube the opportunity to make this right before posting**
TDLR at the bottom.
I went in for a standard oil change. I took all upsales offered to me(sludge remover, cabin and engine air filters). When my car was returned, the first thing I was told was that there was something wrong with my TPMS on a tire and now my light was on, which wasn't when I arrived. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured it would turn off after restarted the car - it did not.
When I attempted to roll my window up, the window did not toll back up. The window worked fine before I took it in.
I was told to bring the car back in the morning and the mechanic would fix the window. By the time I got home, my tired was completely flat and on the rim.
So at this point, a standard oil change had turned into a window that is stuck and a flat tire.
I called the store to notify them of the tire, and they said someone would contact me - no ever did.
I put the spare on and brought the car back in the morning.
The first thing I was told was "we will look at the tire, but we are not fixing your window."
Apparently the schrader valve had gotten stuck and let all the air out. They replaced that and the tire appeared to be holding air.
When I asked about the window, they said "It's not our fault, it would have broke whether we rolled it down or if you did." The thing is, I didn't roll it down. Keep in mind, both the tire and window were perfect before service, I brought my car in for an oil change. ha. It all worked fine before and now it doesn't. And who knows if it came off track by something that had been done while they were working on it.
Anyways, I come home and contact an email I found online. She was nice and the ONLY professional person I spoke with. She put me in touch with Carl at corporate. I cannot specify this enough, speaking with Carl was an absolute waste of time and all he wanted to do was defend himself and not repair the window that was broken while under their service.
Carl tried to apologize, and by apologize I mean he would say "sorry, but it's not our fault." Any person with ears can hear when someone is apologetic or when someone is defensive and doesn't care about your situation, Carl was the latter.
I spoke as calmly as possible to Carl and kept explaining my situation, he would rather take your money and lose you as a customer than make the situation right. He had no intentions of fixing the situation. His resolution was: We can get you a quote on the repair.
A real business, with real care for customers would have said: how can we make this right?
Even if they think that the window not working is not their fault, they could have offered to find a way to make it right. They did not. They could not care less about fixing this or the fact that I paid them for a service and ended up with a car in worse condition afterwards than before.
Their thing they keep repeating, and will probably respond to this comment with is: "your window came off track, it was going to happen whether we did it or whether you did it."
I kept telling them, I didn't do it though. And it was working fine before. The thing is, it happened. And it happened under their care. The right thing to do is fix it.
TLDR: A standard oil change turned into a flat tire and a window that no longer rolls up/down after Jiffy rolled it down. Jiffy Lube, Management, and Corporate don't care to fix it or retain a customer. They are less than helpful. read more
