I pulled up 3 minutes before they closed to replace all 4 of my tires . Brannock, Logan and Dylan all happily stayed back to work on my car. They were very friendly and got the job done very quickly. They were all sweating in the cold! They also gave me some good advice for my car. I gave them each $10 as a small tip afterwards to make up for their time and hard work. Their attitude and work ethic is that above their pay grade. I have never left a review on anything but after this experience, the least I could do is create a yelp account and leave a review for these awesome guys. If I could put a 0 star review I absolutely would! I went to this location to complete my State Safety Inspection. This is a $13 simple check of standard safety measures on your vehicle as we ALL know. Jiffy Lube thinks it's a good idea to "check" a bunch of the engine and brake functions on your vehicle as well, even though I specifically asked for JUST an inspection. Upon completing my safety inspection, they proceeded to try and sell me all types of extra services, one of which they were wrong about. (Told me my coolant levels were low, and it wasn't at the correct pressure levels. When I said, sure I'll pay the extra $13 to top it off, turns out they tested it with the cap on and when they took it off the pressure levels tested normal, basically I didn't need that service at all) The major problem here is they do extra stuff to your vehicle to try and sell you more crap you do not need. The result of these NON-SAFETY INSPECTION "checks" is that when I brake to come to a full stop it sounds like Jets are flying over my truck. Clearly there is something wrong with the braking system that ONLY happened after I brought it in for an inspection. When I realized something was majorly wrong with the truck I brought it back to the location this morning. When I got there, I spoke with a woman who I can only assume holds the title as "Manager" where after explaining that nothing was wrong with the truck when I brought it here and now have a major issue she looked at my paperwork and told me "You only paid for an inspection, that's all you got. We didn't bleed any brake lines or do any other service." Essentially her point is, they won't even look at it again, and it's my problem now. DO NOT, and I mean DO NOT bring any vehicle here! Unprofessional, could care less if you have a problem with the service, just want to sell you extra crap and will, WITHOUT your permission, go into other systems in your vehicle, with the potential of completely messing it up. I am beyond disappointed, more so pissed that I had a working vehicle before I came in here to now a bunch of issues to address and no idea what this establishment is going to cost me down the road. This was an absolutely horrific experience that I don't wish on anyone in Jacksonville, NC to deal with. Do yourself a major favor and STAY AWAY at all costs. The completely lack of compassion for my situation and shear fact that you can't recommend extra services and do checks WITHOUT going into the system is just false. You had to get the number read outs somehow and the "suggestions" had to come from being in my other systems that have nothing to do with a safety inspection. These guys are absolute sharks and have no business calling themselves mechanics. Most untrustworthy situation I have ever found myself in. Absolute scam and again I would suggest NEVER taking a vehicle here, even for the simplest thing like a safety inspection. read more

I had to go back to this Jiffy Lube to have them inspect the brakes that they put on five months ago because they were squeaking. I was the first customer in for the day and ended up there for almost 2 hours while I was sitting inside, I had to listen to the lady employee, tell another employee that she's going to write people up for not wearing the Jiffy Lube clothing. Without a doubt, the slowest Jiffy Lube I have ever been to. I knew they would be a little busy the day I went, so I was fully prepared to wait, however for an express oil change location, I waited over an hour before even pulling into the garage. Once I did get in, they did my oil change and it was done in about 15 minutes. Prices and speed are normally why I go to jiffy instead of the car dealership but anymore I feel like making an appointment with Toyota would just be the better option and deal. Pros: *they use good quality oil and products on your vehicle *its a fast method for an oil change where no appointment is needed *relatively good customer service Cons: *it's is very expensive in comparison to other competitors *they try to convince you to upgrade to products that are unnecessary(so educate yourself about basic car needs for your own sake)* the charge an additional fee for tire rotation, whilst competitors often do this for free with rotation. Overall: I recommend NTB they are cheaper with better deals and promotions, they show you first hand if there is a concern/issue with your vehicle, they don't promote wasting your money on frivolous upgrades and they rotate your tires free of charge with an oil change. The only downfall to them is the wait time and requirement for an appointment when busy. read more

Took my car for an oil change in April. Left the shop with my check engine light on. The manager tried to tell me that my check engine light was on before I brought it in. I told her, no my maintenance light was on for an oil change NOT my check engine. They ran a test and said the code wasn't due to the oil change. However, she also said she didn't really know what the code was for? Turns out the code had something to do with the oil change. NOW in August I take my car to get an oil change at a different mechanic. They come out and tell me they can't do an oil change. Turns out I have to get a whole new oil pan because the last place I took my car to (Jiffy lube) put an oversized drain plug in and was leaking oil. I was never told this happened during my oil change at jiffy lube. I highly recommend NOT coming to this location. read more

BEWARE!!! My son brought both of our vehicles here for synthetic oil changes right before we went out of town. I drove my car from Jacksonville, NC to Roanoke, VA and noticed right away that my car was riding rough. When I got to Roanoke I brought the car to the dealership and after looking it over they asked if I had an oil change recently so I told them about my son taking the cars to Jiffy Lube. They proceeded to tell me the car was riding rough because it had hardly any oil. And that I was lucky I brought it in before my engine seized. They did a full service with oil change, fluids and rotated my tires. I was told by the Toyota DS and tech that the only thing wrong with the vehicle was there was there was hardly any oil in the car when I brought it in. Prior to leaving for our trip my son's car was acting up, so we left it parked in the driveway while we were gone. Now we are home from our trip and I go start to investigate to find out what could be the problem with his car... I kid you not, there's hardly any oil in his car either!! Needless to say we all know what can happen when your vehicle doesn't have any oil in it... I'm livid. We paid this Jiffy Lube $90 a pop for two synthetic oil changes only to discover there wasn't any damn oil in either vehicle!!! This is completely unacceptable. I'll be calling their corporate offices Monday. Please save yourself some grief and take your vehicle either to your dealership or any other place that changes oil besides this place. I'm a little late with this review. This past Holiday has been a rough patch for me and my wife. We had recently done a self oil change on my wife's Honda CRV but I couldn't remove the oil cap. Deciding not to risk damage to her car we went to this Jiffy Lube. The employee checking us In was super friendly and courteous. I explained the car had new oil and we needed help removing the old filter and replacing with the new one (we bought). They did it and put a bit extra oil in (our own) and when finished I asked how much? Only for the employees to tell me it was on the house. Seriously I am touched and will go out of my way to make sure this Jiffy Lube gets all of my business in the future for all our cars. This rough holiday was made a bit better by these awesome employees. I hope they are get a nice raise for working so hard during the holidays! read more

I will never bring my car back here ever again! My first visit they tried to hustle me and tried to tell me something was wrong with my Axel but I knew there was nothing wrong with it because I had it checked out. I got it checked again from a family friend after the visit and they said nothing was the matter. I brought it for a change another time with a groupon since I haven't had time to do the oil change myself. With the groupon it came with tire rotation, oil change, and other services. It's been a few months since then and I needed to change my tires and suspension. I had help from my brother who knows a lot about fixing my car and without a doubt Jiffy Lube F's up my lugs on one of my wheels. I have yet to check the other three. As we were taking the lugs off of the passenger front wheel, the lug nut studs broke off. The person who did it cross threaded my lugs and now one of them will not come off leaving the tire stuck on the car with only one lug nut. I am appalled of such careless and lazy work. The guy that put the lugs on impacted the lug without screwing it on by hand first which is the correct way of doing it. Now I have to buy new lug studs, tow the car to a shop to cut off that stud and check out the other tires, and car-less for maybe a week. Unacceptable. No stars if I could, but one will have to do. read more

Took my car in for an inspection and headlight fix. They changed the bulb, didn't ensure it worked, and I got home to see they charged me a dollar for a coupon book and a dollar here and there for other minor things, didn't put air in my tire like what is said, and when I brought my car back the next day they said I have to go to a shop down the road for them to fix my light. Hateful when I called and so unpleasant when I was at their place of business. Jiffy lube across the stress though is 10/10 read more

This place is obviously a scam....half the time they don't do work they charge you for. Last time I went here I went to get an oil change and a state inspection. They didn't change the oil filter and they ruptured my break lines in the process! But guess what IT STILL PASSED THE INSPECTION!!! I almost rolled in to western traffic because I had no brakes! I came to get a state inspection and there was no wait. They even held the door for me to their waiting area which had coffee, a small tv, and newspapers. I would give them a 4.5 for a mediocre bathroom but they were quick and polite. They gave me a coupon book and thanked me. I haven't had an oil change here so can't comment on that. My daughter brought our vehicle in for a simple oil change to the location on Western Blvd in Jacksonville NC. Called beforehand to get price info. We were quoted about $40 so we brought the car in. Poor service and negative interaction with the manager by phone when I called to see why we were charged $72 after a $10 coupon. This didn't include any extras like changing air filter, wiper blades or anything else. Just oil change. We won't be back and we won't recommend it to others. read more

I was driving down the street and remembered I needed to get my car serviced so I pulled in not knowing what to expect. I was immediately greeted and told to bring my car around back. There I was greeted by another employee and I told him I just needed an oil change and tire rotation. He escorted me to the lounge area where I waited. Someone came back and mentioned I needed my antifreeze topped off so I said to do that as well. We went over how much everything would be and got some cool coupons too. The service was exceptional and quick. It was nice feeling like my business was wanted and appreciated after being at another service department and being treated terribly. I tend to bring my vehicles here because of the closeness to where I live and because they generally do a good job. I usually give good reviews because the staff is friendly. But Ihave unfortunately call them out as crooks. I took my envoy in a wek ago for an oil change. One of the service members brought me out and said my rear brakes were failing and my rotors needed to be flipped and that it had to happen soon or id ruin my brake system...and quoted me 186.00 for the service. I didnt have time to leave my vehicle there so i left. Luckily when I did have time to get it done I took it in to family tire, they did a full tire and brake check and let me know that my brakes 6 out 10 and they all had awhile before they needed changing and there was nothing wrong with the rotors. Taking advantage or lying is something I cant abide even over poor customer service in a company. Family tire even gave me a 7.00 off coupon on the 20.00 tire check and their oil changes are less. I will not be trusting my vehicles to this location again and I hope that no one else does either. If they "highly" recommend a service Id take your car somewhere else and get a second opinion. read more
