I'm writing this review based on an experience I had about a year ago that still stands out as one of the most disappointing service encounters I've ever had. I brought my car in for a routine oil change and was told they did not have the correct oil filter for my vehicle. I was specifically advised to go to the O'Reilly Auto Parts right down the street, purchase the filter myself, and come back--at which point they said they could complete the service. I did exactly that and returned within about 15-20 minutes. When I came back, the staff seemed almost surprised that I had actually followed their recommendation and returned. At that point, I was put into a bay. While sitting in my car, I could hear an impact driver repeatedly hammering underneath, which immediately raised concerns. It sounded like something was being forced rather than carefully removed. A few minutes later, I was told that they "couldn't remove the oil filter cover" because it had supposedly been stripped by the previous shop that serviced my vehicle. This explanation did not align with my prior service history--no shop had ever mentioned an issue with the oil filter housing before. Based on what I heard and observed, it strongly felt like the damage occurred during this visit, yet responsibility was shifted elsewhere. What made this experience especially frustrating was the overall impression that they may not have been familiar or comfortable with servicing my specific vehicle, but instead of being upfront about that, a series of excuses followed. First, I was told they didn't have the filter, which felt like it may have been expected to end the visit entirely. When I returned with the correct part, the situation quickly escalated into mechanical "issues" that had never existed before, followed by blame being placed on a previous shop. The sequence of events gave me the clear impression that they did not know how to properly perform the oil change on my car but were unwilling to say so directly. Because I was concerned about my oil level, I asked if they could at least top off my oil. I was told they would do this free of charge. However, I never saw oil added, and nothing was communicated to confirm it was done. I left feeling uneasy and ended up checking and topping it off myself afterward. At my next oil change, a different shop confirmed that the oil filter housing was stripped. They were able to remove it but strongly advised replacement at the next service. That replacement ended up costing me $50 out of pocket--a problem I never had prior to this visit. Between the lack of professionalism, questionable handling of my vehicle, shifting blame, and failure to perform even the promised oil top-off, this experience left me with serious concerns about honesty, competence, and vehicle safety. I also believe I incurred a $50 expense that I should not have had to pay. They took the time to educate me on important things I should know about my vehicle, which I really appreciated. I visited this Jiffy Lube to get my oil and coolant checked and the older man that helped me was patronizing. He questioned why I needed an oil change and made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. I explained to him the next service is soon and I'm going on a road trip. He didn't want me pull into the garage. He said my levels were "right where they need to be" after briefly checking in the dark. And requested that I back up and turn around with other vehicles behind me to get out. I didn't trust this man so I checked myself when I got home and my coolant was way below the min line. I'm not sure if he was treating me this way because I'm a woman but I'd never trust that man with my service again. read more

A month ago I went to Jiffy Lube and was not satisfied at all. I always take my car there for my oil changes but this time I said I would never come back. The next day I received a call from the district manager and he apologized and made evrything right. Beyond my expectations. After hearing from him I changed my mind and will always use jiffy lube. Went in for an oil change they broke the tube that holds the dip stick. Then told me they couldn't do the oil change because it's a liability since it "was" broken. After 5 guys came to look at it, ERNEST explained that there wasn't anything they could do. Comically they have a sign waver on the street claiming 15 min oil change. So I guess that was true because it took less than 15 minutes for them to tell me the oil couldn't be changed because the dip stick came out when they pulled it. Took my car in Saturday the 15th of feb. They said they don't have a certain part to remove a bolt they sent me to another location. The other location said they over torqued and added a few extra bushings which messed up my oil pan. So I had to schedule an order at that windmill location. They said you can come within a week. A week has passed, I came in. The part hasn't been ordered yet and asked if I can come back at a certain time, got a call stating no store has the part? WTH, so I called the marks location. I just stopped by this Jiffy Lube again yesterday. I had headed out early in the morning and my brake lamp indicator was on. This is obviously something that should be addressed as soon as possible. Adrian and her staff took good care of me. They efficiently diagnosed the problem, found me a replacement part, installed it, and tested it. All of this was done for an affordable price.
