I bought my car two days ago and brought it here for a vehicle inspection. They told me the car failed the inspection because the tires were supposedly worn out. This makes no sense because I literally bought the vehicle two days ago and the tires are in good condition. It felt like they were just trying to get me to buy tires from them. I don't think that is an honest way to treat customers. I recommend people double-check before accepting this kind of diagnosis. Avoid this place. I had an oil change, new cabin air filter, and, supposedly, a fill on all other fluids. They marked them as checked and "FILLED" on the invoice, but did not fill the engine coolant or windshield washer fluid. Coolant low red light the next day. Dealership's mechanics confirmed no leaks, so JiffyLube lied on the invoice despite 7 different employees' names on it, including quality inspector D. Banks. While they were under the hood, they broke a plastic cover on the engine intake air system, contributing the most to the $600 service bill at my dealership's service department. read more

I am just in awe after dealing with such an unprofessional location, i have never dealt with this amount of rudeness at Jiffy Lube. This review in not about the untrained employees, this post is about the rude manager who needs to understand how train his employees correctly how to complete a oil change and basic mechanical issues. (having new employees is not an a good excuse)I hope someone hire up can train him how deal with basis issues and help assist his customers with basic request that they paid for and not be rude and defensive on the phone. when a customer call and let you know that service was not complete at minimum fix it or give me my money back. As i write this novel as one does. All i had requested was that the services i paid for was complete. When I asked for a reduction in pay i was told that since i had already swiped my card they were unable to give me any funds back even partially even though the service that i had paid for was not complete. (no gift cards to use in the future.... nothing) I was told to go to a different location because they were not trained on my car type Volvo 2012 over ten-year-old car. I went that that location and was laughed at. All i asked was that he reset my computer so that i know that next time to come in for my next oil change was, he told me to go off the sticker which indicated that my next service should be at 200k miles when my car is 110k so 90k without an oil service? that does not sound right. I then called the location and asked for a manager and asked for a solution he told me to Youtube how to fix this and that i had to complete the service on my own. I just think that since I paid for them to complete my service that at a minimum they should complete the service give my an accurate sticker or reset my computer so i get notified at my next service. (also the tech split lio all over my engine so there is not an oil-burning smell all over the car). I just hope that some will contact me to resolve the issue. and hopefully some training for the manager at this location. new employees is not an excuse if they do not know how to complete an oil change you should not leave for lunch them alone like you did. read more

Price is competitive and they have coupons online that help too. Way less complicated than trying to do to the dealership or some random auto shop that I don't trust. Highly recommend. I mean I don't recommended Jiffy Lube... Based on I paid $106.99 for my oil change... my car is only a few months old. I drive a 2020 Nissan Kick. Jiffy Lube considers it a car... so one would think it wouldn't be so expensive. I was greeted like normal. I said I just needed an oil change... Coming to Jiffy Lube was like going to a car dealership... constantly making "suggestions," on what I need for my car... again I have a new car at only 5,000 miles. I just wanted a basic oil change. That's it... it took forever it seemed... was offered or suggested too many things. I won't return. Nissan offers oil changes for less than $50. read more

They never did any pressure checks after changing my oil and of course the next morning there was oil all over my driveway. Went to this location for a quick oil change prior to meeting my husband for a camping/fishing trip in Astoria. On my way home, my temperature gauge lit up, so I had to stop and purchase antifreeze. When I lifted my hood, I noticed my radiator cap was halfway off? I told my husband, because I couldn't figure out why it would be halfway off? It dawned on me that it was most likely from my oil change. My husband and I had discussed the fact that was most likely the cause, but neither of us wanted to call and make accusations; however, my husband did end up calling- Im so glad that he did! Not only did the gentleman he spoke to admit to the fact that it was most likely do to their training some newer employees, but he provided us with a full refund w/o my husband even making this request?! Although, I was completely satisfied with their friendliness during their service- I was blown away with their honesty and making good on an error. I'm not sure who my husband spoke with (wish I did), but HUGE thank you/kudos to Clayton, Kevin, Jimmy, Blake (the names listed on my paperwork) for their servicing of my car. Been a customer of this shop for over 10 years, gave them all my business never been as issue. HD them service my Air Conditioner on June 7th. I was told that if the service did not work that I would not get a refund, this should have been my first clue. Air conditioner worked for less than one day. Just went to Meineke they did the exact same service, for $80 less and it works great I drive my car very little. Went to Jiffy Lube and of course they did nothing to help me. The manager was rude and shifted the blame to me. I have a call into their district manager but I do t hold out much hope AWFUL JUST AWFUL read more

Update on 1/27: I emailed (as requested by the business owner in their reply) on 1/10 and have heard nothing back. For making a big deal out of how important customer service and satisfaction is, no response for over two weeks is showing the exact opposite. I have been to this location several times, and last time I was told that my skid plate was missing some screws and had been zip tied on at some point previously. The person told me that if I ordered new screws, that they could be put on at my next oil change. Fast forward to today, when I handed my new screws over to the team, and they informed me that there was no skid plate. I told them that the last place I went that would have removed it was here, which they verified in their system. They did not offer to do anything about this. The woman working was nice enough, but didn't seem to have any idea how to handle the situation and did not make any offers as to how to fix the problem. The man working was just rude, and said that if it was damaged, then it isn't their problem. It wasn't damaged, it just had screws missing. I still had to pay full price for my oil change (minus a coupon I brought in) and will have to find and pay for a new skid plate on my own. Suffice it to say I will not be going back. read more

Per Greg, a representative at this particular Jiffy Lube location (store # 2530), they charge an additional amount for 4x4 vehicles while other locations do not. I have verified this with 2 other locations. I understand that Jiffy Lube is a franchise and does have the right to their own prices, however, my brother states that he did not get this information. Additionally, he asked for just an oil change, nothing fancy, nothing else but an oil change but yet the car was given the signature service special. Now, I understand that I wasn't there but when I spoke with Greg, the tone and way that he spoke with me is what pushed it over the edge. I will never bring any of my vehicles to this particular location and will highly recommend anyone against it. read more

If I could give this Jiffy lube zero stars I would. I came to get an oil change here on 82nd, which is not cheap for the kind of car I have (a Volkswagen Jetta) . I payed 140$ with the recommended full synthetic euro oil i normally always get. As I was in the middle of getting my oil changed the guy helping me told me to turn my car on, so I did. My car made a terrible sound and the guy panicked and told me to shut the car off. All he apparently wanted was to get the mileage on my car. which still baffles me as to why he couldn't just get it at the end instead of asking for me to turn it on in the MIDDLE of the oil change. Anyways that's besides the point. A couple days after this oil change my car started making weird concerning sounds while driving so I took it in to get diagnosed by Volkswagen. They gave me a diagnoses and recommended an "oil change" they said that the oil looked new but the oil filter was really dirty and looked as if it hadn't been changed in awhile.... Since I am a young female and college student I began to wonder if the workers at Jiffy lube on 82nd were doing the bare minimum and trying to take advantage of me. I then called them and let them know I have all documentation and diagnoses on paper. I then went back up to this same jiffy lube with my father to accompany me for support. They did my oil change all over again, and when the supervisor of this location pulled out my oil filter (it's located under the hood for my Volkswagen) it was completely black and full of nasty old dirty oil. It was obvious that when they did the initial "oil change" they just topped off my oil and charged me for an entire oil change..... when the supervisor then pulled out the NEW filter it was a bright highlighter orange color, in comparison to the one they never changed it was very disappointing to know they took advantage of me. They stole my money and faked like they gave me an oil change. I don't know much about cars but I do know the basics and it's frustrating to know that this could have caused a lot of damage to my vehicle if I did not go and get it diagnosed days after the "oil change" . After they finished the oil change and did it correctly, the supervisor of this location did not apologize. All he said was "we don't want to lose your business" .... Well I was way past that. I avoid this place and I advise everyone else do the same. There are many other places that will do a GREAT job, and they will be honest with their work! Time: 01.14.2021 @~ 1:00 PM 15,000 miles ago I had my oil changed at Jiffy Lube. I visited my parents in California, 7500 miles ago and decided to change the oil myself since I could use their garage. I couldn't remove the oil filter (it was stuck) because Jiffy Lube forgot to apply lubricate to the oil filter O-ring. No big deal... I changed the oil but not the filter because an engine that is broken-in can skip replacement of an oil filter in an emergency. I mentioned this today and asked them to be aware to lubricate the oil filter O-ring. Upon returning home, I let the car stand for two hours then checked the oil level (as usual... other times they'd gotten it right). This time it was over-filled, so I called Jiffy Lube expecting the shop manager to say, "Bring it in and we'll drain the excess." Instead, he went on to justify the over fill. (Over-filling can damage an engine by foaming the oil.) So I called Jiffy Lube Clackamas general manager (503.626.3003 - X111) asking for a remedy. I've not heard from anyone for a simply matter that would cost Jiffy Lube nothing to fix. I bought and brought my own filter, oil and paid them for labor. (Suffice to say, I'm going to their competitor.) Rating... 0 for not looking at the long term relationship with an old customer. Last year I bought two tires from Les Schwab Tires and they stripped the lug bolts in the tire removal/remounting process. I described the problem when I attempted to check brake pad thickness and couldn't remove the two front tires. Forty minutes later the problem was resolved with new lug screws and bolts that Les Schwab Tires replaced. I continue to do business with them. Time: 01.15.2021 @ 08:22 AM... The following morning, Jeremy calls from Jiffy Lube... Now they are willing to have me come in and drain the excess oil... Too late! I'm done. I had to communicate with headquarters in Texas to get the issue resolved. A simple issue such as this should have been handled by the shop manager on the first phone call. I use to work with customers. I never argued with them even when they were wrong on matters that were simple and cheap to resolve. read more

Oh, Jiffy Lube, how I hate you. I was forced to change my oil because I was having the vehicle inspection the next day and I thought it might help my 10 year old car pass; it didn't. However, having last changed my oil 5000 miles ago, I figured it was due for a change anyway. I got there and the recycle truck was picking up oil so only one bay was open. Each bay takes two cars parked end to end; the guy in the front car was taking FOREVER, chatting with the staff, and the poor woman behind him was stuck until he decided to get his ass out of the way. Finally somebody who works there moved the jerk's car so she could get out. That should have been a warning sign. I didn't have any coupons or anything, so I paid the 32.99 for the conventional service. They didn't offer to vacuum the floors which they are supposed to do, but I also didn't want to get out of my car and wait in the waiting room so they could do all sorts of nonsense things to my car. "Ma'am, do you want our PVC-something-or-other valve replaced? We have it for $9.99" "No, I just want the oil changed." "But you need it replaced, see, it's all rusty and old." "I just want the oil change. I had my car serviced, it's fine, just change the oil." "Well I guess you know better than me." [to the staff] "Put the valve back, she doesn't want it." "Do you want new wiper blades? Yours look a little old." "No, I just want an oil change." "Your radiator cap isn't holding pressure anymore. I can replace it for $9.99." "No, I just want an oil change." "Hey, the air filter looks ok." "It should, I changed it myself two weeks ago." They pimp here mercilessly, and not only is it unpleasant, it will keep me from going back again because of the snotty attitude of the employee when I said no, over and over. I had to take my car to a mechanic the next day when I failed the test to register the car and he said I didn't need a new PVC whatever valve and I didn't need a new radiator cap. So there.
