When I arrived the employees got out of a car parked in the back lot of the garage and smelled very strongly of marijuana. A worker approached my vehicle and was mumbling. He was very hard to understand. I asked him repeatedly for a price quote and was told they don't offer conventional oil changes, only synthetic and semi synthetic oil changes. He told me it would be $79 for the semi synthetic oil change service which I verified and confirmed before they began work. He told me it would be more if it required more than 5 quarts. I asked them to be sure and check my tire pressure, as the low pressure light was on and my tires needed air. I completed the registration information myself on the tablet, when asked by the employee. When the work was done, the total jumped to $110.00. I disputed the extra charges and was told 'we don't set the prices, and you have to pay for them' I argued I was quoted $79 for an oil change which was inclusive, not a bunch of ad-hoc extra fees. Three different employees argued with me. Then an employee named AJ came out and agreed to 'discount' the bill with a coupon, making the total $79 plus tax ($82 total). I had downloaded a coupon online for $10 off prior to my arrival, which should have made the total $69 plus tax. AJ gave me a receipt. I was so angry and disgusted I paid the bill and left. When I got down the road I noticed my tire pressure light was still on. I verified they did not add air to my tires as requested. Additionally, on the receipt, the work order stated they had cleaned my windshield, checked my tire pressure, wiper blades, checked lights, and transmission level...etc. NONE of this was checked or topped off. I'm a car guy, I've worked on engines and my vehicles for decades. What your employees did and how they acted and treated me was unprofessional and awful. I intend to follow-up with someone at a corporate level with Jiffy Lube who can correct these employees and this situation. I've been to this same location before with another family work truck and had a completely different experience. I strongly suggest anyone considering using this 7531 Newberry Road location for car service to please go elsewhere. They are very dishonest, and unethical. read more

I am a young female college student and I went to get my oil changed a couple weeks ago. I asked them to check my brakes because I had just gotten this car and wasn't sure if the brake pads needed to be changed. The worker came back to me and said "The rear brakes need to be replaced ASAP. They are really worn down." He then brought me over a quote to change them totaled at $800. I knew my dad could it so I said no. Today my dad bought new brake pads and went to change my brakes. The rear brakes were completely fine and the brake pad was not worn down at all. It was about the same thickness as a brand new brake pad. If you are a young woman, beware. These men will try to rob you of your money and lie to you because of your age and gender. Please get a second opinion and don't automatically listen to what they tell you. read more

NOT SAFE!!! Can't say this enough. They will do a shotty job and not care. This is not true of all Jiffy Lubes. The one over by Kohls has always done well for me. I came to this one because I needed a tire rotation too. So the one by Kohls sent me here. Total Mistake! They did a horrible job. I had the service done 1.5 weeks ago and this weekend I find 2 lug nuts missing. I called and spoke with the manager, AJ today and he sounded sincerely sorry and told me to come in. When I arrived he took my spare lug nuts and hand tightened them onto my wheel. I could have done that at home. When he finished he looked at me and said, "Is that it?" I asked him why this happened. And his response was I don't know, maybe we were busy. He wasn't sorry, he didn't care and made no attempt to make it right. I came here for service and it cost me 2 lugnuts plus I was driving an unsafe vehicle. Everyone makes mistakes but when you don't care and think being busy is an acceptable excuse for doing poor work, you are dangerously careless. And the last FYI. They weren't busy when they did this. ok 2.5 but for jiffy lube more 2 stars than 3 I really want to like this place, but their oil changes are always pricey, and it weren't for a groupon I probably would never had gone here. Typically we use Tires Plus on 34th and Archer. They usually always have a $18 oil change coupon out. Jiffy Lube was a $19 groupon, covering a normal oil change which sells for $38. I understand you're paying for convenience for Jiffy Lube. But the thing I really really dislike is all the up selling they try to do. - Your wiper blades look worn sir (notice dip wad - I just replaced them myself 2 months ago with premium rainx wipers) - Sir would you like a oil engine flush to get all that gunk out of the motor (notice to dip SHIP - why would I have to flush my oil gunk on a motor that has only 22k ?) and it goes on and on..tire rotation..up selling the basic oil to premium full synthetic I was up front and specific..I just want a basic oil change ..quick..no extra crap ! make it happen this is why I don't go to Jiffy Lube or places like this. Thankful you can watch what they are doing to your car, just in case there was an opps "sir you need xyz" sorry for sounding so cynical, but when the up selling is this obvious it's more of a turn off than a positive experience. read more

I cannot even give this place 1 star to start I sat there for 2 hours for an oil change then got charged an extra almost 200 dollars to change my spark plugs which I probably didn't even need then after all that I got home and got up the next day to an oil puddle under my car I think no biggie I'll just stop and get it checked out I called them back to inform them they had stripped abd broken my oil plug his reply is well I gotta talk to my boss well over an hour later he called me back to inform me that since someone else had looked at my car ghe couldn't do anything about it basicly telling me tough luck I do not recommend jiffy lube to anyone first and last time there read more

My fiancé went to the 13th street location to get his oil changed. I want to preface this by saying my fiancé works 3 jobs and is living hand to mouth. Any added expense is simply out of our budget. He thought this shop would be comparable in price to other Shops nearby, but was surprised to see the bill was double the usual cost of other places near by. No one told him how much the oil change would be before hand. In addition the mechanic asked if he wanted his air filter changed(holding his current air filter to show him) and he said no after hearing the price. The mechanic threw his filter In the dumpster and installed a new one anyway. When given the bill he didn't know where the extra cost came from. The mechanic basically grabbed the dirtiest air filter from the dumpsyet saying it was his and offered to place it back in the car(no sir, you showed me what MY filter looked like, not this filthy filter to prove your point). I will not be going Back to jiffy lube and will posting on social media to avoid you guys at all cost. So much unprofessionalism and disrespect. read more

They didn't try to upsell me or push me to get any of the services they offered. They went above and beyond and filled tires, window washing fluid, and explained everything else they did. SCAMMERS BEWARE I came here for an oil change right after I replaced my Air Filter at Wal Mart in the parking lot. I was shown a very dirty filter and encouraged to buy it, a flat out lie. I was told I needed new wipers and conveniently it looked like rain, I declined cause I knew they were fine. I left and by the time I got home it started raining and voila my drivers side wiper didn't just wipe it flopped down and wouldn't move. This car is less than 1-year old I was on the phone and mentioned it to my dad who advises me to check the nuts holding the actual wiper onto the motor, guess what my passenger side looked untouched, drivers side had fresh damage from someone sloppily loosening it. I'll be honest, I definitely read previous reviews and was apprehensive about coming here. I decided to wait until my third time going to write this review, and to be honest, I've had a great experience all three times. I only come in for oil changes, and they did just that every time. Kurt helped me the last time and was very professional with the way he took care of me. I've dealt with the up selling of oil change places in the past, and the 3 times I've been here have not been as bad as people make it out to be. When Kurt brought me over to the computer to show me everything they did, he did see manufacturer recommendations and mentioned them to me. I simply said "no thanks" and he moved on to the rest of the review. I mentioned that my windshield wipers were choppy, I had gotten them replaced the second time I came in. He checked it out, and replaced them free of charge saying "new wipers shouldn't be choppy like that". The only things he was recommending were ways of knocking the price DOWN. I took advantage of one rebate and it knocked my oil change down 10 bucks. My overall experience here has been great. At no point did I feel pressured into getting something I didn't need, and no scare tactics were used either. I appreciate Kurt for taking care of me, and I would come back here again if I wasn't moving out of state. read more

My brother and I went there today. They told us 21.99 for an oil change as soon as we exited the car. They then told us that someone would take all the info down and we could grab some lunch. This is where everything went bad. Nobody ever came in to the lobby to take our info for the car. We finally went into the garage to ask if we could give them our info, after sitting in the lobby for 20 minutes. When the lady finally did start taking our information she told us that it would be 41.99. When we told her that Josh (the gentleman who greeted us) told us 21.99 she looked at us and made it seem as if we were lying. We promptly asked for the keys, left and went to Kauffman tire. I will not be returning to this jiffy lube and probably not another jiffy lube again. read more

Don't go here. They charged me 100$ for an oil change and didn't tell me the price until after it was done. I am a young female and I was alone and felt taken advantage of. I couldn't hear their directions about where to park and they were all laughing at me. Extremely unprofessional. Tried to up-sell me on many things and I said no to everything and it was still 100$.
