I know things happen: I got my oil changed at the Countryside location. two weeks later I had an oil leak; Oil light appeared on my dash. I took my car to my local dealership; I was told both the drain plug and filter were hand tight, that is where my leak was coming from! The person who did my oil change did not tighten as it should have been! I called, spoke to the manager, he said there was no proof! I have it in writing why my car had a leak! My dealer did an oil change, PROPERLY! I ask for a refund and was told no-way. 10/10 experience, I just moved to this area so I went to the one in la grange park minutes before I went here just bc it's a little closer. Waited 15 minutes outside their garage doors and no one ever came. Headed down La grange rd to this location in Countryside and was immediately greeted and taken care of. Last time I went here for an oil change the basement technician left the old gasket on the engine and installed the new oil filter over it. They pulled it out of the shop and left it running in the parking lot. When I walked out to my car after paying they were pulling it back in the shop with all my oil sitting on the ground from their mistake. See attached photo. I came in for an oil change at this location because it was on my way home from work and was the most convenient, considering Jiffy lube closes at 6pm during the weekdays. I was told by Assistant Manger Anthony that this location did not carry "Pennzoil Gold - Synthetic Blend" ($73.99) which is what I usually get at the Jiffy Lube location on W. Archer Ave. Anthony stated that the only two options that this location carried were "Pennzoil Ultra" ($129.99) and "Pennzoil Platinum" ($92.99) Before heading out the door due to the $20+ difference, Anthony said he would accommodate me by offering -$15 off of my oil change service if I chose to do "Pennzoil Platinum" ($92.99) which I greatly appreciated and agreed to do. I asked Anthony approximately how long the service would take and he responded by telling me it would take 45 minutes. I brought my car in at 5pm so that gave me enough time to grab a quick bite nearby the area. Anthony said it was no problem and that he would call me in 20 minutes when my review was ready. I walked over to Kombs, which is less than 500ft away from Jiffy Lube. As I finished my food, I got a call from Anthony saying that my car was ready. I was back at Jiffy Lube in less than 5 minutes. Anthony then said he'd given me -$10 off of my service, when I reminded him that he promised me -$15. Anthony then proceeded to tell me that his mechanics added an additional service to my vehicle (without my consent) which was adding fluid to my coolant. I thought this was strange and asked him why it didn't state that on my receipt. He then claimed that instead of charging me for the fluid, he didn't put it on the receipt so that would be equivalent to -$15 off, which I did not think was fair. I never agreed to that additional service and was very upset that my receipt did not state -$15 which was originally promised. Anthony proceeded to argue with me and called me "Broke" and that "If i cannot afford an oil change, that I shouldn't be getting one." I did not appreciate Anthony's deceptive and fraudulent behavior and demanded to speak to the general manager which he stated is Ignacio. I asked for Ignacio's business card and he denied giving me one. Another employee who witnessed the altercation was very kind enough to at least give me Joe's phone number (another manager) who I could reach out to regarding my concerns and what had just occurred. Anthony then calls another employee (not sure who) where he admits that he promised me -$15, which I have video proof of and have already sent to Joe. In this video you can see Anthony smiling and laughing. Before I walk out the door, I let Anthony know that his general manager will be hearing about this. Anthony reads my uniform which says "Napleton" (I am also in the automotive business and work at one of their dealerships) and says "make sure you remember that when you tell your boss why you lost your job" (which I also have video of and have sent to Joe) Anthony continues to harass me by pointing out the minor dents on my vehicle and again, calls me broke. This is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced and is truly unacceptable of an assistant manager. No one should ever be mislead or treated like this. My experience today at Jiffy Lube was extremely satisfying and productive. I was lucky enough to arrive when the babies were empty so I pulled in immediately. Someone greeted me as soon as I pulled up and I should me into the office where I was welcome to sit down have a cuppa coffee and showed where the restrooms were. After an initial inspection, the manager came in and explained to me the different levels of oil that I could use in my car with all the different prices. He did not pressure me in the least. He did give me a recommendation but assured me that all the other options would be OK for my car. He assured me that all the fuel levels in my car were satisfactory and that the air filter was fine.I made my decision , Paid and was out the door in approximately 10 to 15 minutes. I have, in the past, shied away from getting my oil changed because they would inevitably tell me all these other things that I needed and on more than one occasion, I just had replaced. Today, I never felt pressured to purchase anything that I was hesitant about. I felt confident that I was being told the truth and that the job that I had paid for was completed satisfactorily. i went there for a Lyft inspection . one of the workers felt it was necessar to pull me out of the office to the rain and warn me about the location being under new management and the new manager obligating costumers to pay for repairs needed in the car . He stated to me they will give charge you , give you 30 days to come back n get the repairs done & and if you didn't come back charge it again for not returning . I went outside to see how the inspection was being done And the manager told me he was going to charge me to get a light replaced. I told him I was just there for the inspection . Nothing else . He rudely cut me off and talked over me . And told the way to get my car out because I don't want the service there . So ride And disrespectful. I recently went here with my husband to get the oil changed in one of our cars. We were in the area and saw there was no wait, so we decided to stop by here quickly before going on with the rest of our day. I've been to a few different Jiffy Lubes in the past, and this one was by far the best I have been to. When we pulled up, an employee instantly greeted us and led us inside. They had a large waiting room, nice chairs, complimentary coffee, and it was very clean for an auto shop. We only waited a few minutes before another employee came in and started talking to us about the service. My husband has used Jiffy Lube in the past for oil changes, so they already had his car and recent visits pulled up on screen. The employee went through all the offerings he would recommended, but unlike other shops, he wasn't pushy at all. He said we could wait on certain things, and also suggested repairs we should make now or in the near future. In the end, it was a very pleasant experience and we were done in less than 15 minutes. My daughter took our car here for the first and last time on December 21,2022 for an $110.94 oil change. We have been using jiffy lube for about 8 years just never this location. She called me to let me know the low oil light came on when she was close to home after leaving 5550 s. La grange rd(jiffy lube) I told her not to drive the car I'll look at it when I come home from work the 22nd in the afternoon. There is no oil on the dip stick. It's the morning of the 23rd and no one is still answering the phone at this location. I have to tow the car to a mechanic shop and have them look at and hopefully we can still use the car. I'd give them zero stars if I had the option. I have sent my 18-year-old son in twice to do an oil change on my car and had him ask for conventional oil. Twice now they have told him they didn't have conventional oil and did synthetic at a much higher markup, $125. Feeling like they were perhaps taking advantage of his youth, I called, upset. Instead of listening to me or making any move to try and help rectify the situation, I was told by the manager on duty that I shouldn't send in my son to do oil changes. Thanks for the parenting advice. I will no longer send in my son, or any of my cars to this Jiffy Lube. And honestly feel pretty sour towards Jiffy Lube in general. In the past I have had my oil changed here several times with no problem. At my recent visit, they suggested a tire rotation, and I agreed. I WISH I WOULD HAVE DECLINED!!!!! Let me preface this by saying I do not drive on expressways, and put very little mileage on my car which in this case is quite a blessing!!! After about eight days, I noticed a slight vibration in the front end of my car, My son had recently come in town, and expressed concern so we took it to my mechanic. Shortly after dropping the car off at his shop, he called and asked if I had recently had the tires rotated. Both front tires were not correctly torqued down, resulting in sheared bolts & broken Lug nuts. (Excuse my terminology, I am no mechanic.) A simple tire rotation has now cost me over $700 MORE due to the damage caused by their employee's lack of skill! $700!!!! That I can't afford!!! Not to mention what tragedy could've happened!!! Here they discovered that not only did I NOT receive an oil change, but they removed the air filter and did not replace it with a new one. Compartment for the air filter was open. I was out in 15 minutes no one ever came out and showed me my filters (1st time ever . ) Last 2 people that paid were offered 10 dollars off . At 915 the place was totally empty which made the process quick. We waited inside while the oil change occurred, and while the inside had ZERO ambiance and ZERO coffee, it did have magazines that were extremely current and a tv in the corner, making the wait pleasant. I've been going to this Jiffy Lube for over 3 years now. Even after moving OUT of the area, I make it a point to go to this location. Not only has the service always been fast, the staff have always been courteous and professional. Recently I called on a Monday evening, around 6pm to ask how long an oil change would take if I came in soon. The gentlemen on the phone said 8 minutes, I couldn't believe it! Sure enough, I pulled in and was sitting for maybe 3 minutes. And they did the all point inspection, including vacuuming my seats and floors and cleaning my windows. They were fast but didn't cut any corners. Will always choose this Jiffy Lube as my go to store. Thanks for the great service guys. read more

I came in to get a tail light fixed and happened to have the bulb with me. Anthony worked to replace my bulb and explain some rust damage that was causing some issues on my car. He did not charge me for the work that he did, but took his time to help me out with a problem that could've ended up causing more damage. I recommend this place highly to anyone - he could've charged me since he obviously saved me in the long run from much bigger issues, but spent the time to make sure I was safe. How many employees does it take to change a light bulb? At this location, it's three. I came here on a Saturday, late morning. It was a pleasant surprise that I was the only car in the bay. Surely my visit should be short as I now have the entire crew (of 5) working on my car. I just needed an oil change and 2 bulbs replaced. It's been a while since I've brought my car here.. but they still have my info in their computer. No pressure on "upselling" services to me and the employees were very friendly. Jiffy Lube isn't exactly known for cheap services... in fact, I was quickly reminded why it was I started getting oil changes elsewhere when it ran me over $75 for an oil change and 2 light bulbs. The 'high mileage' oil is around $20 more than the standard.. but still, $75 seems a bit steep to me. The funny part of my experience came when they attempted to change out a parking light in my front side. After watching the 2 employees, quite literally, tackle my car to try and get the headlamp out - I had to intervene. I watched them for nearly 10 minutes pull and pry at everything except the two clips that hold the lamp into place. Nervous they were going to rip the headlight out.. I opened the bay door and shouted "did you find the 2 clips?". They looked at me like deer in headlights (pun intended) and then a manager stepped over. Once he got involved, it was 3 more minutes and I was on my way. I'm reasonable... lots of cars are different. It took me a minute to learn the trick to this headlight assembly.. however, it's not like I'm driving a brand new car. Think someone would have thought to use Google or ask someone else for assistance? I really was nervous they were going to cause damage to my vehicle. I appreciated the vacuum and window cleaning that is part of the oil change. Too many places have abandoned this practice. read more

What a hole. Last year, I decide to go for my periodic oil change. Jiffy Lube has always done good enough on oil changes. I mean, what could you expect? I usually use "oil was changed successfully" as my baseline measurement. If you accomplish that much, then I might come back again. How do you screw that up? Ask these guys! I'm waiting for my oil change to finish, when the "manager" who I'll call Captain Slackjaw von Mouthbreather comes over with my air filter. "Yeah, so here's your air filter," he struggles to say through a mouth full of drool and marbles. "Okay, is it bad?" I ask. "I dunno, you tell me, " he replies. Yes, he wanted me to make this call even though he has my service history right in front of his vacant eyes. "Well, from your experience, is this in such a condition that I should replace it?" I hear gears grinding and smell burning machine oil as his brain struggles to deliver a coherent response. "I dunno, I've seen some worse, some better..." Sigh. So, I tell him to leave it, it doesn't look that bad and I seem to recall having it changed one or two times back. 10 minutes later, I get my car, and I head home. Later that night, I notice a small puddle of oil under my car in the garage. Odd, maybe they spilled some oil and it's just running off. No worries! The next day, there's a real puddle forming, so I take it back to Jiffy Lube to have them take a look at it. The tech gets it, checks it out, and says what I originally assumed: they spilled oil, it looks fine. Okay, I'll take their word for it. The following day, the La Brea tarpits have formed in my garage, dinosaurs and all. So, I take it back to Jiffy Lube again. "Oh dear!" they exclaim. "We cross threaded your oil plug, it's leaking everywhere, we'll replace it and top you off!" Le Sigh. So I get a hold of the district manager after some phone tag and explain away...and never hear from any of them again. No apologies, no $2 off coupon, nothing. Rather than pursue it further, I'm writing this review and recommending people check out one of the two Valvoline shops on Ogden between La Grange and 1st Ave. read more

I have been here several times before. But I never noticed little Jim. He greets you when you come in. He knew my name from looking up my plate. He told me what service I had before and walked me through the process. Told me how long it would take and told me to have a seat. It was ready in 1/2 the time I was told. I called this place to see if they would change my headlight if i bought one somewhere else and they said no i have to buy one from them. ok i understand but when i get there they tell me they dont have my bulb and to walk a block over to oreillys to get a bulb from them and bring it back!!! they of course only have a more expensive two pack so i call jiffy back to see if theyll change both for the same price since they already have access to both and i feel thats the least they could do and they refuse!!!! to top it off when i go to another place to get this done i notice my hood isnt closed all the way and it wont close all the way anymore!!! I came to jiffy lube and the guy says,"you have to go synthetic or it negates the warranty". I go home and call the dealer I;ve known for years and they say, it won't but we suggest synthetic. So I went back had it done. I left Jiffy Lube and the next day a puddle in my garage. I drove it back, engine light blink on , they looked at it with me. The radiator cap was loose. The Steering fluid was overfilled and leaking, the airfilter pipe was busted and hanging loose. A rubber bumper washer on the engine cover was missing. Sweeney said if I have it fixed the Jiffy Lube company would reimburse. When I came back with the car they said it would be two weeks. Ther wan't even a sorry. Now I'm wondering what recourse I have if nothing is done. I'm also wondering if the guys who did my car, Andre and friend, retaliated since I left at first and came back reluctant about the Synthetic. I wonder if they deliberately sabotaged the car. Got my oil changed..drove home parked car and the very next morning...power steering out...mechanic said the line was cut...hmmm ...oil pan had hole in it too....hmmmm..cannot prove it was the kids at jiffy lube that did either but it appears as if the place is being run by 19 to 20 year olds with absolutely no adult supervision...wish i would have read reviews before taking my car there...costly mistake..also shouldve known that all the names on wall stating what classes certificates employees had received were NOT anyone that i interacted with. Called, and they responded bring it back we have your part here---- oh, no, no, no. I came there once for you to the job correctly now you come to me and put it on. So they did- 3 came. Either they were going to lunch or it took three sets of brains to figure out where it goes. Thats it. I will never go here again. The staff was nice but I felt completely violated when I left. I got my oil changed and when I got into my car I noticed all of my change was gone and I also noticed that my console was half open and when I opened it up it looked like someone had shuffled through it looking for something else to steal I'm sure! It was only some change, which I'm not upset about, but the fact that how does someone go to a business for an oil change and even feel safe. I could care less about the change but to have the audacity to go through my car looking for change or any valuables is so unprofessional.
