I had my oil changed at the Jiffy Lube on 500 South, Bountiful, UT. I was told my coolant was a little low but for $12 they would top it off for me. I declined as I had coolant at home. Guess what? When topping off my coolant myself, I discovered I WAS BLATANTLY LIED TO, my coolant was still FULL. During a snowstorm today, an hour from my house, I realized I was out of wiper fluid. Super scary because that salt on the window can blind you. I drove to jiffy lube hoping to get an oil change because I know wiper fluid is included and I needed one anyway. Dude came out and said they were short staffed (this is happening everywhere lately because of all the viruses going around) and it would be a 1 hour 20 minute wait. I told him that was too long but that I was scared to drive home without wiper fluid. He filled it FOR FREE. Didn't check to see if I was a previous customer. "Where there's a will, there's a way." And then, there's these guys. I brought in a fleet vehicle, as I have countless times (we have a contract via a 3rd party fleet manager with Jiffy Lube). According to these dudes, there was an issue with the billing procedure. After wasting my time talking about internal processes that meant nothing to me, they threw in the towel. I asked if they could simply call the fleet management company, which to my knowledge, is often part of the process anyway. They explained to me that doing so would take weeks to get to any kind of resolution and encouraged me to try the other companies listed on my fleet card. I told them that I would take it from there and bring my vehicle to the next closest vendor, who I expected would service my car. That is exactly what I did. I punched in the next closest Jiffy Lube to my map app, which was just down the road in Centerville. I was greeted by a friendly individual, and they serviced my car. I did notice some of them huddling around their screen for a bit, and someone actually got on the phone. Turns out there was in fact a billing issue. The Centerville store figured it out and took care of me. They even got an add on brake job approved with my fleet company. This locat threw up their hands and sent me packing. Two Jiffy Lubes, not five minutes from one another, two entirely different experiences. I will never be back to this location. read more

I went in for an emissions test and was told to wait in the Customer Area, Id been there for an hour when they came in and told my my car wouldn't turn on. Turns out they had left my battery on and killed my hybrid, and then proceeded to wait an HOUR to tell me what the issue was, and then denied what they had done. I'm extremely unimpressed with the lack of communication, reliability, and trustworthiness of this location. Something that should've taken 20 minutes turned into 1.45 hours. What a joke. read more

They gave quality services for my AC and I have cool air now. Additionally, every time I do a service they always check my window fluid and top it off to make sure I am taken care of. Same with oil service, great as usual and my car has been in great care with them. Would recommend them to anyone I know. read more

I am only giving them two stars because they owned up to their mistakes and paid for the damages caused to my car. If you get an oil change from any Jiffy Lube I would ask follow up questions before driving away. I got an oil change at the beginning of August. I drove home and didn't drive it again until a few days later. Once I did drive it, my oil light came on after ten minutes of driving. Made absolutely no sense because I just got the oil changed. Well about 5 more minutes my car just stopped working. I was lucky to get it to a parking lot. I had it towed to Tunex and the mechanic told me there was NO oil filter. Oil had burned my motor and ruined it. Once I notified Jiffy Lube, they tried to tell me where is the filter? How am I supposed to know, I don't even know how one looks like. They insisted that it must have fallen out. They even tried to look for it on the route I took. So they decided that it was indeed their fault. They had it towed to Auto Enhance in midvale, I only knew where it was after I called because they never told me where they were having it towed to. My car was out of service for two weeks. I finally got it back today, and guess what I had to call, why because their communication skills are not their strong suit. I would never recommend this place. It's not worth the time or money. I am glad that they did pay for all the parts and labor, that I am glad for. But honestly, they lost me as a customer because I just am scared this will happen again. read more

This has gone down hill, least the location. I decided to switch off from them when my car kept need more oil and I asked them if there was an oil leak. Kept stating they could not identify any leak, then i had to keep coming back for top offs. I went to burt brothers, they found the leak and immediately showed me the problem, fixed it and it was good a few hours later. Leak gone. And the Top off service is a joke, it's not an oil change its a top off. Open the hood, unscrew the cap and pour oil in, not that hard. They stick you in line with people getting work done that is actual work, which is fine however that means for a top off you are waiting however long a 'first come first serve' situation is. I switched to burt brothers, never looked back. Also, they are rip off as a company. read more

Just went to get emissions done on my car and the employee was horrible, talking down to me and not even letting me answer his questions before assuming I didn't know the answer and cutting me off with the next question. Don't normally leave reviews for service stations, however, I went to jiffy for emissions test. Passed that promptly. Was then informed of 6-7 issues with brake fluid at 100% moisture, oil 2.5 quarts low and not registering on stick, radiator cap not holding pressure, etc. Went directly to oil service station I trust and less than 1 quart low, brake fluid is fine and no issue with radiator cap. Horrible service at jiffy live and won't return. read more

I came here to get the safety and emissions for my car done. When I pulled up, I was immediately greeted by a man who even opened and closed my door for me which I was not expecting. Very impressed by that btw. He gave me an estimate as to how long it would take for my car to receive the safety and emissions. After a few minutes in the waiting room, he came in and announced that they were having issues with their computer system and it would take a moment to get the required software repaired. He kindly offered that we go to the jiffy lube down the road off 500 south in bountiful if we didn't feel like waiting for these repairs to he made. I was very impressed with how polite and conscientious this gentleman was. I ended up going to the other Jiffy line which I had no problem with. I understand sometimes systems can crash and things outside of their control occur. I had a vey pleasant experience here. The waiting room was very comfortable also. read more

Thank you for the email address. The assistant manager would not give me a number of whom to call. I finally had to drive to Jiffy Lube and be in person to ask for Brook's number. After 5 days of no call back. After 6 days finally tracked her down. Even before being able to explain the situation Brook already had her conclusion. Without speaking or meeting with the dealer, she said that it had nothing to do with Jiffy Lube, the assistant manager had a third party look at the car and take it apart without permission. I can understand meeting with the dealer under mutual supervision to understand the car. I did not approve that anyone to try to look at the damage or fix my car. This voided any warranty I have. I requested only the dealer determine a problem. It has taken 6 weeks micromanaging galore to make sure people understand follow though. More time has been spent disproving everything. Not only did they strip out the oil filter they put too much oil in it which blew the head. I have spent 6 weeks fighting to have them take care of their mistake and now because they spent so much time fighting we are another 6 weeks waiting for parts because they will not replace the engine. Go to someone who understands your car...BEWARE THE NIGHTMARE read more

Service was fine. A little slow, took 28 minutes and there were no cars in front of me. But the little attendant there decided to give me his opinion on certain aspects of my vehicle and "how bad it sucks". I think that's highly inappropriate. Well my experience wasn't quite as bad as some of the others. I had to get my oil changed on a Sunday and decided to try these guys. My vehicle recommends full synthetic so I was prepared for a larger bill. These guys are trained to catch anything they can in an effort to up sell. Before they started I told them not to check my cabin filter since there was personal items in my glove box. They start off washing the windows and vacuuming while they check every possible bulb. They advised me my brake fluid was low and that my battery was bad - their testing equipment said charge and retest, hmmmm. Next they messed with my tires adding air, now my TPMS (tire light) is on. Then they did something to change my radio display, it only took my 15 minutes to put it back the way it was. They circled a tiny rock chip and left the crayon circle on the freshly washed windshield for all my Uber and Lyft passengers to see. At the end the cashier commented on how fast it was completed and accepted a coupon I found online while waiting. It could have been better. If I ever go back I'll make sure to tell them not to mess with my tires, radio settings and not to color my windshield. Summary: so so experience, it isn't all about the speed, quality is important too. read more

This location is a joke. I spent two hours waiting to get the emissions test for my car. It was a weekend and I understand it gets busy. But they only had one bay open for testing when I arrived and that remained so for quite some time. They eventually opened another bay and instead of motioning me over to that bay (I was next in line for emissions testing) they brought two cars from behind me over to that bay while I was still waiting. Finally when they brought my car in to be serviced, the computer broke and they needed to reboot the system. Understandable, it's not their fault. When that was up and running they told me my car had no power to the connector they hook the testing cable to. They said I had to bring it into a Toyota dealership to have fixed they checked my fuses and said it was the electrical side of the car that needs fixing. I asked them if maybe it was their computer having issues and they insisted it was not on their end. I brought the car into the dealership the next morning, just asking for emissions testing and they finished in 45 minutes and had us out of there, no issues, no problems with the connection and I had my new registration. We never even mentioned that jiffy lube had an issue and nothing ever happened out of the ordinary when they tested the emissions at the dealership. I would say that between being completely disorganized and incompetent, this jiffy lube location is a waste of time and money. I wonder what else they have gotten wrong on my vehicles over the years. read more

I've been going to this location consistently for two years. I am a very loyal customer. On May 8 I got my standard oil change in the techs advised me that I needed a coolant and antifreeze flush for my radiator ($139.99) so I did that also replaced the radiator cap as well as general maintenance. One week later my radiator blew overheated and melted a lot of things under the hood. I had to get my car towed to the dealership where it cost $1700 for the repairs. Never had an issue with my car before, find it very coincidental that right after they worked on my radiator a blew one week later. I called the manager of the Jiffy Lube expressing my concerns and asking that maybe that they could help with or cover some of the cost of the repairs. Never asked for them to cover all of it just may be a part or even maybe throw a couple oil changes my way just for a customer loyalty satisfaction. Never got a callback never got any help needless to say I'll never go to this location again and I would be skeptical for anyone else to go there they may make things worse! read more

I have a hard time with Jiffy lube in general. Normally I would just not go there, but they are typically pretty quick, and they do get the job done. Also since I work full time there is very little time I have to take my car to a more reputable shop. the main thing I hate about Jiffy lube isn't even the fact that they try to upsell the pants off of you, or even that they are trying to sell you things you may not need. But that every time I go in, the pricing structure just feels totally made up on the spot, so I never know if im getting ripped off. For example: One day they may say "The oils system flush is $69.99, but we could probably do it for $39.99 today since you really need it" Well then im there with another car that supposedly "needs it" and they don't offer me that same deal. Then every other thing on their upsell list is the price shown on the screen or "we could discount that today". If I had one message for corporate or for the manager of this location it would be that all sorts of places are going to set prices, no negotiations, honest pricing, or whatever you want to call it. The price should be the price, and the guy before or after me should pay less than me unless he has found some coupon I didn't happen to find. Again, I have always had decent experiences at this location and they technically get the job done (im assuming done right) but I always leave feeling not only like I severely overpaid, but like I was just taken to the cleaners as opposed to someone else who they decided to just give him a better price for whatever reason they though sufficient. read more

This man really had me wait 30+ minutes to tell me that their ac gas machine doesn't work. A car pulled up 10-15 minutes after me and he went to greet them and asked them what they needed but completely ignored me still so I was like what is going on. He didn't help me until the person that was in front of me was leaving I feel discriminated like no other I'm not sure if it's because I'm brown I hate to say that but it's the truth and on top of it all this man looked and acted unprofessional with nasty teeth I swear it looked like he hadn't brushed his teeth since the year started. I'm very disappointed and would never recommend this location to anyone! I could not believe the misery this location cost me, instead of tightening my hose on the transmission they ended up loosening and I lost all my fluid and ended up stranded on the side of the road and now in repairs for damage to my engine and all because it was a cold day and they didn't want to see customers. I went in for a simple oil change yesterday. It was slow as it was a Sunday in Utah. I was greeted by a tech. I told him I wanted a signature oil change. He spoke to me about a flush and upgrading to synthetic which I declined. I then was spoken to again by a different tech and agreed we could do the flush. I was told my bill would be around $100.00. The whole time I was in the waiting area I could hear the employees arguing to each other. As I went to pay I had a cashier and his coworker trying to help me. The bill came to over $130.00 it was surprising but the cashier was so stressed out the entire time talking to the coworker I decided just to look at the bill after I left. I did and realized I was billed for a synthetic oil change and a completely different car/customer. I had to go back in. Everyone was still confused. I ended up getting a refund on my over payment but no apologies or explanation. Will keep an eye on my bank statement for that refund to come through. I wish the staff were nicer to each other and a little more customer driven. read more

This place has gone downhill. I've been a regular at this location for years, and now I'm wondering why. On my last visit, a simple oil change took over 1.5 hours. And I was not informed that they had a back up. I waited in a cold, dirty, crowded waiting area that entire 1.5 hours. The waiting area only has 6 [rock-hard] chairs, and it became standing room only. So miserable. And then the check out process... even worse! They wouldn't honor a valid coupon I had, and they tried to up-sell me every service under the sun. I felt grilled. When I declined the extra services, the cashier got testy with me. She must have been on commission, which I don't think is necessary. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience from top to bottom. I'm over at Grease Monkey now... ah, much better! read more

I had an oil change done by Jiffy Lube on my 2015 Ford Edge in October 2017. After a month it started leaking oil in the drive way to an extent that I had to have my car towed. My Ford dealer looked at it and said that the drain lid was overtightened and the oil pan had to be replaced. The seal was damaged as well as one of the ears which holds the drain lid for the pan was damaged. Cost of the repair $738. I contacted the manager at Jiffy Lube and he said they started an investigation. According to his information they compared my oil pan to a brand new one from Performance Ford in Bountiful. He called me back saying there was nothing wrong with my pan and the investigation was closed. My car dealership got in contact with Performance Ford - they don't even have a new oil pan in stock. During the repair they made pictures which shows clearly the damage on the seal and the ear. Jiffy Lube refuses to pay for their mistake and damage. Never get an oil change there. There is obviously a reason for their horrible rating. read more

I was in a little bit of a rush and assumed I would be okay as only 2 other people were in the waiting room. It took nearly an hour for my car to even be pulled in and even after I explained to the sales guy i was in a rush and had no time for his upsales he had the nerve to make me listen and try to convince me the upsales would be quick. I have to really give a huge shout out to Travis over there. I have about as much faith in car mechanics as I do the Kardashians to swear off taking selfies but Travis changed that for me today. I called them just before close with a mechanical emergency. I feared the worst. I know nothing of cars. I would wait in the lobby and be slapped with an expensive bill after 10 to 20 minutes. Not today though. Travis took the time to walk me through what he thought was going on. Even let me look under the car with him. Something no other mechanic has ever done. After we had it all figured out it came out there was no real issue. I will be a forever customer to this location for that. Customer service is my specialty and Travis made me a forever customer staying open and taking the time to explain to me what was going on made all the difference.
