My car needed an oil change; I Googled oil change near me, and it suggested his location. I pulled up, was greeted, then taken back to the waiting area. My car was serviced with a few extra perks...exterior windows were cleaned, the floors vacuumed, and they wiped down the dash. I am very impressed with the fast and friendly service. I do not recommend this location of Jiffy Lube. I visited it on 12/21/21 for an oil change. I had a moment of hesitation when I drove up because it didn't look like there were any other vehicles they were working on, which seemed unusual. I should have listened to my gut. I have visited other locations of Jiffy Lube in the past and never had a problem. My experience at this location felt "off." First, I was in and out way too fast. The employee was not able to answer my questions re: the difference between the $49.99 versus $89.89 oil change satisfactorily. He simply said that the more expensive option was because it utilized synthetic oil. All engine oil is synthetic. When he rang me up, he did not review what was done and struggled to answer whether or not my oil level was low upon arriving. I asked another employee if he had ensured my tires were properly inflated. He didn't know what the manufacturer's recommendation for tire air pressure was or where to find that information. I drove home and immediately popped the hood. My oil was significantly overfilled, which can cause engine damage. None of my fluids had been checked and/or filled. My windshield wiper fluid was very low. My coolant was dangerously low. My brake fluid was low. There was oil spilled on my engine. I ended up having to take my vehicle to a real car mechanic to remove some of the oil, clean the oil off the engine, as well as fill the other fluids. I don't know who owns and operates this location but they need to be much more actively involved in overseen the services being provided. 1/6/22 Update: I posted my review the evening of 1/4/22. By early the next morning, I received a response from John Scholl, who is the new owner of this business. He expressed concern about my experience and asked that I email him my contact information so he could call me and get more information. Within a couple of hours of responding, he called me. Although I did not request a refund, he promptly told me that he was going to issue me one. He listened to and acknowledged my concerns. The next morning, he went to this Jiffy Lube location to address my concerns. Although I initially gave this business a 1 star review, I am changing it to a 3 star review based on my 5 star experience regarding the owner's responsiveness and sincere efforts to remedy the issues of concern. Given John Scholl's years of experience, leadership and management style, I have every confidence that he will provide his employees with the training and supervision necessary to ensure future customers receive the high quality level of service Jiffy Lube is known for. They started working with out going over prices no prices displayed anywhere I knew i needed a cabin airfilter and airfilter. my oil changes always run about 38.00 so I was expecting 80.00..... but it was 190.00 for what...its an old gmc not some luxury car..... had I known I would have gone some where else. Valvoline employees are Idiots! I went to have power steering fluid added at Valvoline on Broadway in Boise...and was told "your car doesn't use power steering fluid" it's ran by an electrical system. I even showed them where the fluid goes and was told I was wrong. I left and went to Jiffy Lube on overland who took 1 min to add power steering fluid and I was on my way, problem solved, no charge! Asked about the services I required, and walked me into the waiting room. The service was done quickly, and professionally. No issues.After the service, they read off all of the checks, and status of my trucks fluids, and related items. One tip, before you go in, pull a coupon off of Jiffy Lubes website. Someone please shut this place down, went in for an oil change and trip check up beforey trip, about 200 miles into my trip my check engine light came on. The mechanic said they never changed my oil or oil filter, didn't check my fluids, didn't change my air filter. Charged me 89.00 to do F***ing nothing. FIRST!!! Reviewing a business like this isnt difficult. Jiffy Lube is a fine business and I frequent this place every 3,000. I really like how they get me in and out, in a "jiffy." The staff's training seems excellent. The only area of opportunity is their condos ending attitude and window cleaning. If I just want an oil change I get are mark like, "Ok, we won't check your battery or water fluid" followed with a willful smirk. They reuse rags to wash the windows. So my windows are always smudged with dirt and grime. Anyway, it's a fine place, just don't get your windows cleaned. read more

I just took my new (used) car there for service because I could not read the mileage on the window sticker and a warning light for low tire pressure had come on. When they pulled the sticker off you could barely see the Mileage and I was 2000 miles early, Instead of going ahead and doing the oil change they let me know of the situation and said the oil still looked clean, they topped of my other fluids and reset all my tires to the correct pressure without charging me. I have taken other cars there but never this one. I appreciate their honesty and professionalism. I just wanted to give a kudos to them for their service. All to often people only take the time to vent instead of taking time to appreciate. Good Job Guys! read more

I went in for oil change and to get air in tires, the guy said my car uses synthetic oil so I would be looking at 60 dollars for the whole thing, I knew it was high but was being lazy so I did it, after leaving, my windshield wiper light fluid light has not gone off, nor has my tire pressure light, and the receipt even says 32 psi for my tire pressure and right on my car door it says it is supposed to be 35, seriously the worse experience I have had with an oil change, what a bunch of dorks. read more

Rock chip repair was a scam. They tried to get me to sign a contract saying that I would pay for this if insurance did not. I signed a modified version, then received call after call from Uniglass LLC and my insurance company regarding the matter. A complete waste of my time explaining the "incident" to my insurance company. Still waiting to see if my rates will be effected with insurance because it was technically a claim. read more

I have been going to jiffy lube for years, I pulled up and the gentleman asked what I would like and I said the exact same service as last time except could you please replace the drivers side windshield wiper he replied yes. I went in, he then came into the room showed me a filter that needed replacement, radiator fluid replacement, lights ect ect the usual , and he racked up a nice little bill of 170 which I thought was high but its fine I needed some stuff right. They were done with my car pretty fast normally thays good right but it seemed to fast in my opinion. They pulled my car around didn't show me what was done handed me my paperwork and left me to my car, as I drove down the road I decided to hit the windshield fluid to test my new wiper sure enough same wiper. I looked at my bill now they didn't even charge me for the one thing I wanted but they did say the checked them and they were good to go even though they were stripped and useles. They said it was a full service but it was not vaccumed, and they charged me 30 more dollars for a different oil than I used from the last time even though I said use exactly the same stuff as I had last time. Not too sure what else really didn't get done but I will be taking my car somewhere else from now on. Feeling completely ripped off! read more

I took my car there yesterday. Before they even pulled my car into the garage, they told me my key was broken and handed it to me in pieces. I told them it was not broken when I gave it them and asked them what they were going to do to fix it and they told me "it wasn't their problem." They were rude and made it abundantly clear they do not care about their customer. Take your hard earned money somewhere that will value you, your property and your business. This was a HORRIBLE store. The crew rushed me in and out.... LIED to my face about my car, "Having to Have synthetic Oil" when in fact... it did not, but resorted to me paying a way higher amount than needed. The crew did Not put a sticker in my window indicated the next time of service needed, and fluids were NOT checked and filled. I had to drive away with my light notification on indicated my vehicle NEEDED window washer fluid. This was the Worst stop I have made there in the last seven years of giving them my business and I will Never go back and cannot wait to tell all of my friends and family what a wretched scam it is. Went in this weekend and was treated so rudely I didn't have them work on my car. They have three bays and only one car was there when I stopped. I saw at least three men working on the one car. I asked how long and was told it would be about 25 minutes, then I was told my car might not fit in their bays because it was too low to the ground. When I tried to tell the man that I have had this car into them before, he basically called me a liar because the sticker in my window was from another shop (a different place changed my oil last time). The gentleman (and I use the term loosely) said "Well if you don't care about your car neither do I", among other totally rude and unprofessional comments, and I also got a "whatever" statement. "Whatever" is what a 14 year old says, not someone who should be a professional. I ended up going to the Jiffy Lube on Fairview and had FABULOUS service (they have different owners).
