I had called the store beforehand to see how busy it was, the employee said it wasn't very busy and so I made my way over there. It indeed was not busy and I was thankful as I have a toddler and 7 month old. I needed an oil change, and they asked if I wanted to stay in or get out and said it would be about 15 minutes. I opted to stay put as my 7 month old had just fallen asleep and I didn't want to wake her up. I had a fan and water to keep her cool and my toddler as well. Well they get started and 15 minutes go by.. then 30.. then 45. Finally one of the employees tells me that they broke the cap and had to replace it but they were out of stock at that location. I was frustrated as I hadn't planned on being there that long and especially since I had my kids in the back. If they would have told me what had happened when it did, I would have taken them out and went inside. They proceed to tell me that they wouldn't get the part for 2 hours (I got there at 3). They let us all get out of the car and into the waiting area. They ended up being able to find a part that fit and so it didn't take an additional 2 hours. I was there for an hour maybe a little more. The employees were professional but the fact that they waited to tell me and on top of having my littles with me in the heat for that long was not cool. I guess next time I'll just take my kids out just in case that ever happens again.. overall I'm not sure I'd go back here. I had an oil change and air filter change. They tried to hard sell other services. I politely declined and reiterated oil change with synthetic oil and an air filter. Surprise arhat later no evidence of oil leakage or car burning oil and my car had very little oil in it. Shame on them for trying to take advantage of an older widow. Great prices and will give you a $10 discount if you ask about specials. they're fast and they have a clean and comfortable waiting room with TV and water. even though I told them I was not interested in any extras. They were great about explaining things to me that needed to be done, but did not make me feel pressured to have them done and I appreciate that. I was told I could come back for a top off if my oil was running low and I think that's great they also clean your exterior windows and vacuumed the interior of your car, which I've never had done with an oil change. Thank the yelp gods, I found this place AND the wait was really short compared to other random places. I usually do not care for the customer service at places like these because I understand the whole stereotype of "girls not knowing anything about cars". However I did not get this vibe from this place. When I pulled up they were so POLITE and welcoming. I am glad I trusted the fellow reviews. So I have a big car sorta, so I forgot which one I got specifically but it was not the regular. I payed a little extra to include "them giving your car a mini car wash" yeah you read right I had never seen this sorta complimentary service. Its not much and you technically do pay extra but seriously I have payed the same amount in other places and not gotten a mini car wash. It also includes a top off on your liquids or something along those lines. So yes love this place and their overall prices! read more

I showed up with no appointment and was greeted at my car before I had the chance to get out. He knew the prices and was very cordial and polite. I received an estimate prior to any work and the process was explained to me before work began. I was promised that the service would take around 15 minutes. I was a little apprehensive since I usually do this work myself, but it is about the same price to have them do it and it is done quickly. I also have to say that I can totally live without crawling around under a minivan for an hour. Not having to cleanup oil spills or schedule the oil pick up with the city is nice too. The place is clean, but aging. There is coffee service and a bathroom in the little waiting room. There is a picnic table outside for the people who prefer the polluted Bakersfield air. The air conditionThe A/C is going full blast, which makes the waiting room kind of cold. The service was so fast that before I could even finish this review they came to tell me that my car was complete. They reset the maintenance light, gave me a clean car, with no stains smudges or any other issues at all. I think I'll come back tomorrow with my other car. We have been to this joint about three times. We are not concerned about customer loyalty and will stop where we think we will get a decent deal or where we will get great service. This joint offers neither but they do, eventually, get the job done... This place is slow. There has been a total of 1 time that they actually checked the air pressure in the tires despite saying that they do each time (our car monitors the tire pressure, so we can read it off of the dash and know that we were lied to). the facility is usually clean. Sometimes there is even coffee in the tiny lobby (not this last time though). The price is very high. Honestly, I would not recommend this joint to family and friends. read more

I needed a oil change ASAP and this location was pretty close to the house so why not? I have a 2014 Nissan Ultima, and when I pulled up I told them I just needed a basic oil change. He said that my car only takes synthetic oil and it would be $100. I know that's not true. I'm really glad I stumbled upon this place. The wait time is always fast, the workers have great customer service, and their oil changes are reasonably priced. I often feel as if people try to rip me off because of my lack of knowledge when it comes to cars, but this location and it's workers are very helpful and absolutely do not make you feel that way. I also enjoy that they give you your estimate before they perform the job so you know exactly how much you're paying. Before I could get out of the car, I was greeted by a very nice and polite man who offered me a seat in their waiting lounge. I was a little bit past due for an oil change. I've gone to this specific place about the last 4 or 5 times. I got kinda crazy this time and chose the premium ( or plus, not sure)oil change. Got my tires rotated as well. I had a great experience as always with these guys. The only thing I was a little bummed about was the oil cap to my car. They accidentally broke it off, which I mean stuff happens, but rather than fixing or replacing it, I was told that I have to go buy a new one. I used to go here regularly. I would pull up, they would print out the service slip right away (regardless of how busy it was), I would sign it, then go next door for lunch. By the time I finished my lunch my vehicle was finished. I would pay for the services rendered and I would be on my way. At some point they changed their policy and require you to remain in their waiting room until they are ready to work on your vehicle. It is only at that point that they print out the service sheet and have you sign it. I suppose this wouldn't have bothered me as much as it did if when I asked why they changed their policy, the supposed manager didn't get a bit confrontational and lie to me saying "we have always done it this way." Now I have to find another place that doesn't treat me this way, and right in front of my kids no less. read more

The guys greet you right away. They ask you what you would like. They offer you a seat inside. They are right to the point. Ask questions if you don't know they are not trying to screw you over with the adders. If you don't drive a lot and are frugal get the low cost oil change. If I could give zero stars I would. I went to get my tires checked and have air put in them. As soon as I pulled up, I noticed the manager Dilan, was mopping one of the bays. As soon as he saw me he stopped mopping and threw the mop at the wall and rolled his eyes. I was trying to ask him which bay he wanted me to go to and he ignored me and he called somebody else out, an employee name Edoardo. As Dilan is talking to Edoardo he's pointing at my truck and rolling his eyes. Edoardo comes up and asked me what I need I asked him if he could please just check my tires put some air in my tires because I have an issue with arthritis in my thumbs and it makes it really hard for me to put pressure that it needs in the tires. Hey check the tires really quick and I was asking him if they were about to close. He didn't say anything he did not respond to me. I said OK I guess never mind at that point he asked me what I had said and I repeated my question ask them if they were about to close. He said no, to which I responded OK I just figured you guys are about to close since your other employee look like he got really upset when we pulled in. No response. Quickly goes onto the passenger side of my truck and start checking the tires I'll ask him what the tire pressure was at to which he said that he put them to 35 psi. Very quickly I told him that that was not OK that they needed to be at 80 psi because the tires that are on my truck call for that amount of pressure. He told me no that was not what they needed and that was too much air. I told him that he could look at the tire because it very clearly shows that they need to be at 80 psi when cold. He disregarded me rolled his eyes again and set all of my tires 235! That is less than half of what my tires are supposed to be at! He left them at an unsafe level and treated me like I didn't know what I was doing, like I didn't know anything about my own car. I understand if there's a common misconception in this business that women don't know anything about anything when in regards to their cars, but I worked at Jiffy Lube for almost 4 years of my life, part of that time was managing my own store. Their treatment of me as women was disgusting, extremely rude, and will they left me with unsafe tire pressure! I tried to go there because I trusted the brand having worked for them for so long. But this crew, those employees were disgusting! read more

This jiffy lube is always relatively empty and they are quick to help you. Yet, the service is not that great. Those who help you seem to be dreading every moment of their day. Also, the prices are out of this world. The first time I visited, the price for the synthetic was 60 dollars. I was told I would receive ten dollars off on my next visit. I thought to myself "Wow, this is overpriced but at least I'll get a discount next time." Surprise surprise. On my next visit, the prices had gone up. The oil change is now priced at 75 dollars. I came here on a Monday at 445pm and was told it would be a 30 minute wait for an oil change with one car already ahead of me. They scanned my car and sent me inside the waiting room which has free coffee, unisex bathroom, tv and poor ventilation. Tried to upsell me on a new battery and confuse me with oil service. My confidence is not high in people who do not know how to turn off a maintenance light and lie to me that it's off when it's still on. My steering wheel is also covered in grease. Came here for an oil change wanting to spend $25 as it says on the sign. But when I got in they persuaded me to that I needed to spend $60 because my car has "high mileage" then persuaded me to spend more on my battery protection spray thing. I left spending $80 something and the protection spray made my battery die. I called about 18 times and even called other jiffy lube stores asking if there was another way to contact them but they didn't have another contact source. My work didn't let me go back that day and I haven't been in Bakersfield since. I wish I could get my money back but just determined never to go there again. Love this place. Always professional and really, really fast. If you live in the east part of Bakersfield I highly suggest this jiffy lube. I'm always in a rush and need to get in and out and they always accommodate me. They say "bring in your car when the oil % is at 50% and we will make sure to top off your fluids and make sure your car is running alright."
