I highly recommend the tostones stuffed with shrimp and the coconut mojito!! I am addicted to the coconut flavor of the food in Puerto Rico LoL The environment is really nice, and guests can enjoy the beautiful ocean view on the second floor of the restaurant. My friend and I (two girls) ordered tostones stuffed with shrimps, mofongo with chicken and pork rib with barbecue sauce. The three tostones taste perfect, and the mofongo chicken is giant. Pork rib tastes like something you can buy from Hannaford, and it's too sweet and big for us to finish. The coco mojito exceeded my expectation!! My tostones with shrimp and the churasco dumpling were delicious. However my husbands churasco was well done and he had asked for medium. When asked at the end of the meal by a busboy if we enjoyed our meal and we mentioned the tough overdone churasco, he said he would tell the chef, but then never got back to us. When we told our waitress we were really disappointed in his meal and that we would have sent it back if she had checked on us anytime during the meal she replied "well, I was on break ". We saw her eating a couple of tables away and at no time did she even look in our direction. The churasco in my dumpling was very good, so why the difference? So, my food rated a 5* but my husbands dinner and the service rated a 1*, that's why a 3*! read more

My wife and I travel to Puerto Rico all the time with our son who just turned 1 year old so great food and more importantly great service is really important to us. In addition my wife is vegetarian and I eat everything, so lots of options are a must. All I can say is WOW!! The food, amazing!, tons of options for both of us. The staff, was incredibly accommodating. The ladies made sure we always had what we needed, made great suggestions and were sincerely concerned whether or not we didn't just liked the food but Loved the food. Whether a glass needed to be filled or we needed more napkins or different utensils for our son they accommodated. They all worked as a team to help our little family have a great meal. Our experience was incredible which honestly was unexpected from what we thought was going to be just another roadside kiosk restaurant. Jibaro's was awesome! The staff was very helpful and informative about the menu. We ended up getting the whole lobsters from their live tank and they were by far the best lobster we've had. The staff went above and beyond bringing us bamboo roses created by a local man and upgrading our side dish of beans and rice to something a little fancier with a more distinct Caribbean flavor at no charge. Amazing customer service. We were a party of six starving people. Manager Mike greeted us before we even got in the building. Server was polite and on top of everything we needed. A definite recommendation for anyone visiting the area. Get a mojito, ask for Mike and have a good time. read more

Was recommended this location by some locals because they have great plantains. They do! Good is great. They were not busy, but it took over an hour to get our food. Beware, they charge you for refills on soda and lemonade. That would have been nice to know. Who does that? read more

The two stars is because the rice with pigeon peas was awesome and all the staff seemed very friendly. This was suggested by the resort and my guess is that they have a relationship of some sort with the hotel crew. The drink prices were fair, but the meal prices were very high and additional suggestions raised the rates without a fair warning ($19 dish ended up costing $55). Other than the side dish rice the food was underwhelming though it was plated nicely. They only had two servers working on a busy Friday night and one was giving rides so it was slow. read more

We were on vacation here for a week and we came here several times we had snapper grouper sirloin strip and conch and it was all delicious the staff was wonderful and the restaurant was great we really enjoyed coming here often while we were visiting from Houston Texas read more

Not sure if it was just piss poor service, or tourists aren't welcome. I wouldn't normally think that, but we were obviously from out of town. When the waitress first approached us she spoke Spanish, which unfortunately is very limited on my end. She was very prompt when they first came in to take our drink orders but after 25 minutes we still have not received our drinks and placed an appetizer or food order. On any other vacation I would be fine with it, but 2 group of locals came in 10-15 minutes after us and received their drinks very promptly. After that happen we waited another 10 minutes as she walked by with more drinks and still not asking us if we would like to order. That's when I made a decision for all of us to leave. This was a problem as we showed up at 6:30 PM waited for almost 30 minutes Before we decide to leave and try some of the other restaurants but because of the Covid policy here in Puerto Rico everything is shutting down at 8 PM. So now that it was after 7 o'clock and we were trying to find a place to eat for large group of six nobody could accommodate us because it was too close to closing. I am not one to typically write negative reviews, but when I sit there for 25 minutes and see drink after drinks walking by us to people that came in after us they're not even being looked at as she walks by it's not OK in my book. So I thought I would leave this review for others looking for a place to eat. I would suggest trying somewhere else. read more

This spot was beautiful to look at and the food looked delicious but then again all Puerto Rican food is the best...The service was terrible...Both servers were terrible and unhelpful...Stood at the door for at least 15 mins just to get a temperature check while waiting to go to the bathroom...I'm an industry person from NYC and I look at all aspects of the restaurant industry...You can have the best food, nicest restaurant but if your wait staff sucks, I will leave, so that's what I did...I then walked next door to a restaurant called Surf Shack #25 and not only was the food, the service was phenomenal and the girls were beautiful inside and out...The girls from Jibarro's should take hospitality lessons from the girls at Surk Shack #25... read more

Sent us the wrong order at first, then took our food away before we were done. Also, the food was mediocre at best, and totally overpriced.

Horrible service, ordered 2 of their special drinks, and received them before we received tea a coke and a bottle of beer. placed order for appetizers and main course and the food came incorrect after an hours wait. the waiter that was new told us it was due to so many tables on the first floor. We each had to use the restroom during our wait. there was 2 table downstairs and 2 upstairs one which was ours. I asked for a manager and he sent his so called assistant which we found out was the greeter. the manager finally came and we explained all our issues as well as the server being rude. he sent the waiter away and said he would fix it. I ordered salmon prosciutto wrapped and when I finally got it, it was coated with salt on the fish and the wrap. it was inedible. the only thing edible was the fried cheese and two tacos. all this was after having to have one of our guests go and find a waiter to explain the issues and ask where food, drinks and silverware was. manager nor waiter or waitress would come check our table for anything needed or boxes to go. when we got downstairs the manager was still fixing drinks and told us so sorry for the bad service and he couldn't discount the food. they also stated that they were taking a picture of our license plate for the police. good luck we are tourists and we will make sure to notify every platform how Horrible the service is and no one local or tourist should ever eat here again read more

Best mofongo we had all week, and we had a lot of mofongo! I had mofongo with chicharrones and that was so good. The drinks were delicious too, and huge. It was a good price for a great meal that was a little more fancy than most of the places nearby. read more

It's been 2 weeks since I've eaten here and the impression it has given is outstanding. Our server Angel was an amazing personality, extremely friendly, as was the whole restaurant, and didn't miss a beat. I've been meaning to write this review for them but just got busy. The food was great, the fried pork and beans and alcupurrias were delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Very good PR food, although some items are a bit overpriced. We ordered the fried snapper special which was a bit high at $38 dollars but was very good. Also had a churrasco steak w/ shrimp special which was way overpriced at $35, considering the steak alone is $19 and they only added 3 shrimp. Would not order that again. Had the shrimp mofongo as well which was amazing; best mofongo we had on the island. Stuffed tostones appetizer was good but small for $10 and the fried cheese appetizer was just OK. Very nice environment with the beach in view and balcony seating available. Our waiter was excellent; which I remembered his name. We would return. read more

Best food we had during our entire trip! (10 days) Lobster was fresh and delicious mofongo was awesome and the sample platter was great as well. The staff were enthusiastic and recommended what they honestly liked to eat themselves, I appreciate that. We went there for my girlfriends birthday and she felt really well fed and taken care of. The drinks were tasty, big and strong. We just wish upstairs wasn't booked that night we really had looked forward to the view. Walking in, looking around and listening to the music, you can tell this is a good place. As soon as we walked up we were greeted and seated. Immediately after we got our menus and ordered our drinks. The place is nice and the food selection is good. I decided to get the sampler with my wife since we weren't to hungry. The sampler was amazing just to let you know, but what surprised me was this sauce that they had, it was delicious and went with anything. Rafael is awesome and gave us all the info on the restaurant and events going on here. Great food, great staff, and we just got our check. To top it off!! Amazing will be back tomorrow read more

We were very disappointed with our meal. We went on a Sunday and when we walked in no one was seated downstairs. There were only 4 other groups seated upstairs. Our waitresses were nice but service was very slow. They took over 15 mins to take our drink ordder. Themargarita special was 2 for$12 - they were watered down. Our food order took almost 45 minutes to We ordered the red snapper and were told it would be $32 - and were charged $37. The red snapper was over cooked And dry. (We has a delicious fried, whole red snapper two days before at El Exen on Culebra - so had a good baseline for what red snapper should taste like.) we also ordered a churrasco mofongo - they charged $2 more than menu indicated and the steak was chewy and the mofango has a whole garlic clove in a bite I ate. We ordered the other we drink special rum punch2 for $12 and it was also watered down and sugary. We paid almost $100 for a meal that was not worth Yhe price. Check out Edelweiss for a better meal or the sweet lady in one of the Kiosks nearby that sells amazing fried treats. read more
