After over a decade of home ownership, we decided to try for our first remodel. Not knowing anything about how it works at all, we really appreciated Lemon Remodeling's communication style- they were patient and thorough in explaining the process and answering questions. We were also able to communicate via text for most of the process, which provided great flexibility for us with work and kid schedules. It was truly amazing seeing how our fuzzy intial vision came to layout, render, and reality. Jacob was awesome in providing suggestions and guidance when I needed it (e.g., when to use matte vs gloss vs semi gloss, what's the difference in wall textures, and how do dishwashers work ) I also never felt pressured at all, which really made the whole experience pretty low stress. We did a full kitchen remodel, moved the sink location, upgraded electrical, etc. The crew did an amazing job, and got so much work done in a short amount of time. Construction was well planned and I was able to do my work from home job in the room next door with no trouble while construction was underway. It's been a few weeks since we finished and it's my absolute favorite room in the house now. The pull out cabinet shelves are such a game changer. I don't know how I've gone my whole life without a dishwasher before. And even though the size footprint of the kitchen didn't change, the layout and cabinets have given us so much more storage and counter space. Not to mention the peace of mind that comes with knowing all the electrical, plumbing and gas is up to code! Overall, I'm thankful to have worked with Lemon. We have an amazing, functional kitchen and I am much less intimidated with the ideal of remodeling now

Orr Jacob managed the project , from beginning to end. He was a pleasure to work with, a perfectionist with his craft and always was on top of the crew at every phase of the project. The process was discussed and annotated in detail over the weeks. Specialized teams worked on each area- framers, painters, plumbers, electricians, tilers etc. Each crew member was respectful and courteous. Communication was open and easy. The foreman , George, was also very attentive. Everything was done to perfection. Quality and aesthetics were beyond my expectations. This was a dream renovation for me and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I give Lemon Remodeling the highest recommendation to anyone looking for a contractor.

When he came by to provide an estimate, I liked that he was thorough and took exact measurements and didn't just eyeball it. He provided what we felt was an honest and knowledgeable recommendation of what could be done. He wasn't the lowest bid but I've learned over the years that lowest isn't necessarily the best when it comes to choosing a contractor. Scheduling was easy and he and one of his guys came and finished the work quickly and efficiently in the time estimated. My husband is quite picky when it comes to home repairs and he was pleased with the results. We will keep him in our contact list for future projects as he seems to have a wide range of expertise.

The team arrived five hours late (3:30 PM instead of the agreed-upon 10:30 AM), which left them finishing the job in the dark. While they were working, I asked about also adding caulk to the outer trim, which they agreed to take on. However, the resulting work was extremely sloppy and uneven. Caulk was left smeared across our window panes, stucco, and siding due to poor prep and hasty application. They offered to come back to finish the job, but given the lack of care and messy application across every window they touched, I couldn't allow them back on site. To make matters worse, they tried to attribute the results to weather conditions rather than taking accountability. I paid the originally quoted $450 to close out the job, but I now have to hire a separate contractor, likely costing over $1,000, to completely remove and redo the caulking. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for detailed trade work. Edit: In response to Ciro's comment regarding payment: my bank placed a security hold on Zelle because he was a new payee. I called my bank to clarify why there was a hold and gave him an update to let him know the payment would post in three business days. Accusing me of scamming or even attempting to scam is absurd--I immediately offered to pay via Venmo to resolve his concern and sent payment as soon as he gave me his username. Also, the pictures I shared speak for themselves. No "touch up" is going to fix this. At this point, the entire job needs to be redone.

Of the many contractors we contacted, Mylett Construction was far and away the most responsive and most willing to work within the scope of project we had in mind. We had no experience replacing an entryway, so Jimmy walked us through the process of selecting all the options that were available to us. He was very patient and understanding as we navigated our convoluted HOA approval process. The planning and preparation process took longer than normal due to the COVID pandemic, but Jimmy did an excellent job of updating us on the project status and the COVID related delays in the production of our door. He was also extremely attentive in ensuring that the door stain was exactly the color we wanted. When the door and hardware were ready, Jimmy made sure that everything was prepared for installation day. The door, side window and trim were efficiently and seamlessly installed in less than a day (much to the relief of my wife who was worried the project would drag on for weeks). The crew arrived on time, followed all public health precautions, and left a spotless worksite when they were finished. Their attention to detail was outstanding; the door closes perfectly; the trim nicely matches what was previously there. Jim was extremely responsive to our request for one minor modification once the project was almost complete. The final product looks great! Overall, we had an outstanding experience with Mylett Construction and would highly recommend them. They are very responsive, friendly, hardworking, and clearly hold themselves to a very high standard. We plan on giving Jim and Jimmy a call the next time we need a general contractor!
