We found Alfredo on Yelp after obtaining multiple price quotes and could not be happier with the entire collaboration process. He was amazing to work with, checking in with us every day and offering up suggestions along the way without being pushy. Renovation inevitably comes with unexpected turns, but his team was able to help us reasonably navigate rerouting water and gas line, working around sprinklers and adding electrical. We tore out our crumbling concrete driveway, expanded over parts of the lawn, and added pavers from the driveway to the backyard. Luxury Pavers built us a custom bench, seating area, privacy wall, added posts for shades and brought in new turf. We could not be happier with the final product and are excited to spend our Summer in the yard.

The finished project exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The entire project took about nine months, with roughly half that time spent navigating Los Angeles County's permitting and approval process. Picture Build's permit coordinator did an excellent job keeping everything moving and minimizing delays. The demolition phase was exceptional. Luis and his crew removed our old pool in a neighborhood where heavy equipment wasn't an option, so most of the work had to be done by hand. Their skill, professionalism, and attention to detail were impressive. Once demolition was complete, a talented team of craftsmen brought our vision to life. They poured new concrete, built a beautiful stacked-stone retaining wall, and installed stunning travertine pavers throughout the patio. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding. Our project manager, Jorge, kept both the demolition and construction phases running smoothly. Like any major project, we encountered a few minor challenges, but every issue was resolved quickly and professionally by Jorge or John Durso, the company's general manager. Special thanks as well to Max, our electrician, and Brian, the quality control supervisor and all-around problem solver, for their dedication and attention to detail. The final transformation is incredible. What was once an aging pool is now a beautiful, inviting outdoor living space where our family loves spending time together. Picture Build delivered exceptional craftsmanship, professionalism, and customer service throughout the entire project.

Before making our final decision, we interviewed four different companies to compare our options. Throughout the project, we had to pivot on certain parts of the design to accommodate existing brick fences and challenging land slopes, but the team handled these adjustments seamlessly, and the final outcome is truly amazing. If you are planning to design or renovate your yard, I highly recommend that you meet with their team for a consultation and quote.

I had a great experience working with Mark and Eminent Construction on my paving project…read more I first reached out to Mark in November 2020 for a quote to pave my front and backyard. Due to personal reasons, I had to put the project on hold for a while and didn't end up signing the contract until April 2022. For due diligence, I got quotes from several other paving contractors at the time. Material prices had skyrocketed across the board, and while his prices aren't the bottom-of-the-barrel lowest, among reputable, established companies, his pricing was very competitive. A couple of other options told me straight up to go with Eminent because they couldn't match his quote. Mark was able to honor his original 2020 pricing because he keeps a large inventory of pavers stored in his own warehouse. At first, I was a little worried that a lower price might mean cutting corners, but that wasn't the case at all--his work product is excellent, and so are his people. Once work began in April 2022, his team showed up right on time. Mark's guys are nice and awesome to work with, getting the job done quickly with great quality. My sister is extremely skeptical when it comes to contractors and service companies--she is not easy to please at all--but even she mentioned how impressed she was with the quality of their work. Midway through, I had several major changes, including asking him to redo the stairs, pour concrete out in my garage, add railings to the new stairs, and add custom railings to my existing front steps. Even though concrete isn't his main focus (he specializes mostly in pavers), he took it on and got his guys out here fast to redo the garage floor. On top of that, his metalworking contractors who handled the railings are second to none--the custom metalwork turned out incredible. His follow-up support has been just as solid. Recently, I noticed an issue with those stairs built back in April 2022 and brought it to Mark's attention. He didn't ask a million questions or give me any pushback--he just asked for a couple of pictures and had his crew out to fix it right away without any hassle. Finding a straight-shooting, trustworthy contractor is rare. I trust Mark completely and would recommend Eminent Construction to anyone.

Mark…read moreWall ("I was born to be in this business!") showed up at the appointed time to review the job. Came with a colleague from the business, and they reviewed the job together. (PS. Both had masks on!) He promptly furnished a quote (he was the second to bid, and was the middle of the three bids). What convinced me to go with them was this: When they came to review the job, I had a reference sheet from City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety...and Mark said that they build to a much higher standard, and described including more rebar than the city requires, etc. He also talked about specifically matching the existing wall. His priorities seemed to match ours. Mark had said that they would be showing up at 7AM on the appointed day, and texted me at 7 to tell me that they would be 10 minutes late. I really appreciated that, as I had recently used a contractor who showed up when they chose to show up. Wall Brothers is clearly client-focused. Mark said that the job would be 3-4 days, and it was done in under 3. New wall matches the existing wall (and it's not a standard concrete block size) well. Crew was friendly and accessible throughout the job. There was a small miscommunication that was quickly corrected without incident, another measure of a good firm. Finally, each day, the crew left the site cleaned up. When the job was completed, one of the crew remained to clean up the site, and other than the new wall, you would not know a construction crew had been here this week! I'm entirely comfortable referring Wall Brothers Construction for their concrete/masonry work, and will certainly be calling them again as needed. They transformed the outside of our home, and it now looks and feels like a magazine spread! Just today, I received compliments from two separate strangers on the front yard. We constantly get compliments on the appearance of our home. Samantha was the landscape architect who created the design, and it was amazing to see her lay out the vision. She saved us space in ways I definitely couldn't have conceived of on my own. She said the remodel would be like doubling our living space, and she was right! Scott oversaw the construction from start to finish. He was very attentive and obviously cared about and was fully invested in the success of the project. I am constantly smiling at the plants Scott suggested. They are thriving, and I wouldn't change a thing. The crew was respectful, clean and did a beautiful job. It was a long project, but Pacific Outdoor kept their initial timeline. Our main reason for going with Pacific Outdoor was that they were a one-stop shop. They could do everything. They truly delivered, and it is better than we ever imagined! It was so easy to look at their choices and select what we wanted. They had a wide variety of design choices.
