Entering through the doors of Galaxie's, everything points to a classic ice cream shop. Bright…read moreturquoise walls, 1950's garb, a juke Box, and even glass bottled Coca-Cola for sale. However when you reach the register to order, you realize things are a bit different here, and that's a great thing. Front and center in the back of house, a large nitrogen tank the height of an average 5th greater boasts made to order ice cream created in a non-traditional format. Due to this unique process, customers can choose between thousands of flavor combinations to satisfy their sweet tooth. I was craving something lighter, so I ordered a lemon flavored ice cream with strawberries. My fellow ice cream seekers ordered a "galaxy creation" called "Peanut Butter Explosion", and the other ordered hazelnut with sprinkles. Because the ice cream is made to order with nitrogen, the texture isn't quite like regular ice cream, but that isn't a bad thing- the texture is reminiscent of baseball dip n' dots. I really enjoyed what I ordered. Also- the portion sizes are huge and match the prices well. This is a fantastic business, and I wish them all the best as they establish themselves in McCook. If the crowd present when I was there was any indicator, they'll do just fine!

Eggs, sausage, and honey cinnamon cream cheese spread...I think. Americano and honey is good, though I had to pay extra for my honey amount...after we were buying a $40 breakfast already. Not liking that. My Everything Bagel sandwich was ok. Bagel small and not much Everything on it. But we liked and would return for more.

Unacceptable for $4. The gal behind the counter had the personality of a wet mop and also seemed slightly underage or underbrained to be working this kind of job. Not the best first impression. She couldn't figure out that I was asking for a regular coffee and it took her a good 5 minutes to try and ring it up. Not everyone wants an ice cream shake for coffee. I hope they figure it out.
