M&L doesn't just do a beautiful flooring job, they do a consistently beautiful flooring job. We have a tiny little guest house we're fixing up. So we had Larry come out to have a look see and to get an estimate on cost and timeframe. First, he called us right back. Second, he came out the same week to check out the job. Even though it's a very small potatoes job he treated it and us as any other client with a big job. Larry is super nice and had a ton of great suggestions. I spoke with Codi the week before closing and he offered a ball park quote but wanted to get into measure to be precise. Unfortunately, I couldn't let them in until we closed and wanted the floor done in the same week, so we could move the following week. They came on a Tuesday to measure and confirm the quote, which did not change from the original and was very fair. They started on Wednesday and finished on Friday. The floor cured on Saturday/Sunday and we moved in on Monday. It was such a tight timeline and we were so busy, I didn't have time to get them any payment until after the work was done. They went out of their way to get it done so we could move on time. Results are fantastic. Thank you.

Our floors turned out great, but it was kind of a mixed bag of an experience…read more THE GOOD: The flooring selection process: Cory was friendly and helpful and I got what I needed at the show room in under 30 mins. The measure: the turnaround time between my show room visit and the in-home measure was extremely fast. Jason also sent us the quote really quickly. The installation: we got both carpet and hard flooring. Brian (hard floors) gets a 5 star. Work quality was amazing, and he meticulously cleaned up after himself every day so there wasn't a speckle of dust left behind the whole time he was here. He got the work done faster than anticipated and instead of cutting out early every day, he just kept going. Steve (carpet) was also great. He found a defect in our carpet and could've taken the easy route and installed it without saying anything, but he made sure we knew about it and had a say in the matter. Once the new carpet arrived, he got the work done really quickly. THE NOT-SO-GOOD: The scheduling: we were scheduled for demolition the day after thanksgiving but had a no-call no-show. We couldn't get that resolved for a few days because they were closed longer than usual due to the holiday. It would've helped if someone called to confirm the appointment before everyone went out of office. No explanation was given, so no idea what happened. The demolition: Jason rescheduled the demo asap, but the crew didn't vacuum or do any meaningful cleanup. In fact, the installers were surprised at the mess they left behind. Also, we were supposed to paint our floors with Kilz in between the demo and installation but the demo guys already put down carpet tacks, so we had to spend time removing those ourselves so that we can paint. There were lots of loose nails and debris on the floor from the demo so it was not an easy job. The lack of attention to details caused some non-value-add work for everyone. The flooring: it doesn't seem like Full Circle does a QA check on their materials before sending it out to the work site. We were surprised that no one caught the defect in our carpet until Steve was about to install it. This caused a delay in our timeline, which is a pretty big inconvenience when you have to temporarily vacate your home to accommodate the demo/installation. We had other contractors lined up, which also had to be rescheduled. Also, the spare nosing they ordered for Brian was broken. Thankfully, he was meticulous enough that he didn't need them, but there was no margin for error. Imagine the added delay if that wasn't the case... In the end, our floors did end up looking really great so Full Circle gets a 4 star. The hassle we experienced might cause us to consider other contractors in the future, though.

This is a much overdue review. Ian did an amazing job installing our hardwood flooring in our home…read morein Truckee! We have used Ian twice, once in late 2019 for our original hardwood flooring install, and again in August of 2023. In 2019, we had a very positive impression of Ian early-on, just by the initial planning we saw him do for the floor layout, and it only improved from there. He told us about the known issues with the milling on the brand of flooring we selected (some pieces had varying widths and a few boards even tapered from one end to the other). He recognized the issue and knew how to sort the wood and handle the variation. (We don't want to even think about how the floor would have turned out with another installer without Ian's experience and diligence!) Because of the issues with the wood, the installation took longer than estimated. However, instead of rushing to get done on schedule and move-on to the next job, Ian took his time to make sure everything was done right, beginning to end. The results are amazing, and you should see the precise cuts around our river rock fireplace. We are truly impressed! It was so refreshing to see someone still taking genuine pride in their work, and deliver exceptional quality in today's construction world. Doing it right, even if it means taking longer on a fixed bid. He was the bright spot in an otherwise very stressful remodel. We are so happy that Ian of Metrik Flooring installed our flooring! Fast forward to 2023, when we unfortunately suffered water damage. We did not hesitate to contact Ian and had him install hardwood flooring for us again. Once again, we are extremely happy with the job that Ian did, and with his straightforward and fair approach to doing business. (Hopefully we don't have to call him again anytime soon, but he will always be the first person we call for flooring!)
