Our party of 9 (5 adults, 3 toddlers, and 1 baby) dined at Jezi's during their advertised, family-oriented Mother's Day brunch and despite really trying to find something to like, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. Ordering food, the wait time with little children, and just the overall organization was an absolute mess for food and drinks that were mediocre.
Our party had 11:00am reservations for brunch. The first half of the party that arrived first was seated in the upper deck. The other half of the party, who arrived shortly after, per the handwritten sign on the door, went to the service counter to order food. The food ordering system was both confusing and took so long: three of our party ordered food at roughly 11:15am while the remainder of our party were told to go upstairs, be seated, and someone would come take their order. We waited and waited, as our young children grew hungry and restless, and no one ever came. So little by little our party trickled back down to the service counter to order food. Food for the first three to order arrived at about 11:45am. The rest of the food didn't arrive until 12:15pm. Just the severe lack of organization completely ruined our dining experience not to mention, this was an advertised family brunch: by the time our food came, the toddlers and baby had waited over 1 hour for lunch. Our young kids were restless and over it: no one, adult or child, should have to wait that long for just a bunch of sandwiches! Our poor children were set up for an absolute loss.
We then had an issue with paying the bill: the lady managing the counter was also involving her self with the making of the coffee bar and foods-- she was so all over the place and not understanding what we were asking her thus resulting in one individual paying for the whole bill of the party of 9. And her reply was, "Oh I'm sorry, but I'm sure they'll just give you cash for it." I feel like she should have owned up to her mistake/misunderstanding and attempted to rectify it (as it was on her) versus dumping it on the individual who wound up shouldering the whole bill.
I get this place is new and they're "trying," but a soft opening would have probably benefitted them to practice and have an organized system in place before opening the doors to entertain so many on a widely celebrated holiday. It was far from a relaxing and enjoyable Mother's Day experience and everyone in our party regrets dining here for this holiday. Disappointed. read more
