Before daycare, we had an au pair, but we felt he would benefit more from being around other children. Of all the options we explored, Goddard was by far the best choice. The school is safe, clean, and has plenty of outdoor space for kids to run and play, plus an indoor gym for rainy or very cold days. The staff is passionate about their work, maintains strict teacher-to-child ratios, and follows a curriculum that balances fun with learning. We receive photos throughout the day and a helpful en-of-day report. We've been very happy with all my son's teachers over the years. They've made him feel special, encouraged his growth, and helped him form strong friendships. The children motivate one another in such a positive way. Some people mention that tuition is higher than other schools, but we feel it's worth it for the level of care and education provided. You do need to pack lunch and snacks daily, but that's no different from feeding your child at home-and it ensures they'll eat food they enjoy. Coming from NYC, we were expecting long daycare waitlists, so we reached out six months before his start date. To our surprise, we had no issues getting a spot, and he's been enrolled full time since day one. We highly recommend this school.

Where other comparable schools charge $50 for enrollment, Goddard charges $350 non-refundable and then tells you they won't have space for your child. Other schools provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks - at Goddard, despite the tuition being double, there is no lunch provided. If you need to withdraw your child, many schools have a 30-day opt-out clause - Goddard's opt-out clause is 60 days, and you need to be careful because they are extremely vague and unclear when it comes to money. The teachers seemed entirely disinterested in the families and children, the outdoor space is tiny, and the overall environment did not feel welcoming.

I've been through 3 home daycares before just trying a real day care facility. We all hear horror stories of different places so I was nervous. Her first day I couldn't believe the amount of pictures and communication I got from Ms. Chrissy the director of TT. I expressed my concerns and she literally picked them apart one by one. They have a daily toddler report that comes home telling you how their day went and what they ate. This report only comes home until they're 2 1/2. It made me feel very comfortable and in the know of what was going on. They have a Facebook for the parents and they take great pics of your kid.I have so many saved. The activities they do is above and beyond. Polar express, pajama day, zoo animals come etc. the teachers and assistants are all nice my daughter has been in all of the classes this is her last year and I've never had an issue. If I did I would call the teacher directly they are all approachable and available. The education, diversity, loving atmosphere, cleanliness is all a parent looks for and this place is it!! Teachers leaving mid year, due to the challenging behavior from the director and teachers. The only qualified educator is the director, everyone else has just had experience around children. There was never a proper curriculum and the director went by the day or what they felt like was "appropriate". Mostly deserted school with only a couple of students. Not culturally appropriate towards other students nor staff, not understanding that some people speak different languages. This is their structure precisely, the hours ran from 8:45am-11:45am three days a week due to low numbers. The teachers couldn't even bother to ask them to walk, but have the students running, and eloping. Unfortunately early intervention is not a thing here because they assume that they can just take away autism. Please with the resources we have today, it's important to value your children and their learning. None of the students had any fine gross motor skills, they have trouble with words, shapes. Most projects are being done by the teacher so that's why they look amazing. It is unfortunate that the don't even know what curriculum they teach, I've practiced Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and even the Waldorf approach. None of those approaches were practiced at this church school. Genuinely this place is questionable and I recommend elsewhere, for the sake of your child's readiness.

My son has been in the daycare program of this school since he was 3 months old. He is currently 2…read moreyears old and I am beyond pleased with his progress over the years. From 3 months to 15 months he was in the infant room with excellent care givers who took care of him as if he was their own. They did artwork with him, which always adorn my fridge. The room was clean and bright and fun! He had his own crib. I had to provide my own sheets and blanket but it was more than a cheesy bassinet, there were gorgeous wood cribs. He had his own cubby and contain/space in the fridge. When it was time for him to move to the toddler room they transitioned him to make him comfortable. But in his new "big boy" room he really blossomed. They to amazing things with these kids. He goes to gym, computer class, out door recreation, they have circle time, reading time, music class, and so much more. They have their own nap pads which are comfortable and a crib sheet fits them nicely. He again has his own space is in the fridge and a toddler size table where the kids eat their meals together. They work on colors, letters, numbers, vocabulary, and developing their fine motor skills, gross motor Skills, language levels, social development, and more. As a facility that also has the capability of providing Early Intervention they provide me with quarterly evaluations as part of their program. It's a great way to learn more about your child hitting milestones. They have their own sink and bathroom in the room and are more than glad to work with you to potty train, my son is eager to use the potty as a result of the expose he gets to older children at school and the staffs intuitiveness to sense he was ready and to work with him each day to learn to use the potty seat. They are working with my son to develop his skills to use utensils and a regular cup. He comes home every day smarter and happier than the last. I thank each amazing staff member for VCLC each day for their kindness to my child and I, and that each one of them is dedicated to the well being of my son. The pricing is reasonable, the location is a leased elementary school which means it's totally geared towards small children. I do have to provide my own food, which not only saves money, but I know that he is eating good for each day not typical easy toddler food (pizza, mac n cheese, chicken nuggets). Their security is phenomenal. You have to show your family pass before being buzzed into the building. The class sizes are small, and the rooms are colorful and fun and filled with educational toys and decor. He still comes home with fun projects each day and larger projects every so often. It's an excellent choice when you're considering daycare!!
