My best friend surprised me with this when I came for a visit a few weeks ago, and it was one of the best things I've ever done in my many trips to the city. Jeremy had a great foundation of knowledge about things in the city I would have otherwise missed (again). He was able to seamlessly talk about architecture, history, the Draft Riots, the Underground Railroad and street art with equal measures of knowledge and passion. Jeremy is a great host; he is clearly very kind, knowledgeable and able to answer questions on a wide range of topics (which is great because I have a wide range of interests when it comes to the city). I would highly recommend this to anyone (including locals!) who want a more unique experience in NYC.

The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about the experience. I also felt safe because there was not any overcrowding of the tour. They ensure that each sprinter had enough seats for social distancing which was great. I went with a friend so we were able to sit together. He was as funny and informative as they come, detailing dates, places, people, and events all from an authentic Brooklyn POV. He had us laughing to the point of tears, salivating with the descriptions of the pizza we would soon ingest and astonished with some of the real-life facts he drops as you pass by Brooklyn's most notorious and iconic neighborhoods. You get shown clips from movies and television shows that have shot all over Brooklyn as you drive by the locations. The tour stops off in DUMBO, Bensonhurst and Coney Island before completing the loop back in Manhattan, so you definitely are exposed to a whole hell of a lot of New York in 4ish hours. You can also voluntarily choose to stay in Coney Island and not go back to the city, which is an awesome option to have if you want to play tourist or just ride some roller coasters after stuffing yourself full of pie! As a film/pizza enthusiast, this was literally one of the best days of my life, enhanced only by the company of my friends and the spectacular narration of Marc. This tour is definitely the best tour I've ever been on. It was equal parts hilarious and informative, with just enough wackiness and kitsch from Marc to make the whole experience truly unforgettable. Mike brought Chinatown's history to life and taught my friends and me so much. Hearing the stories of Chinatown's past and learning about the history hidden within its streets made for a truly unique experience. It felt personal, authentic, and engaging rather than scripted. The Food Tour with Bernice was equally fantastic. She introduced us to a variety of restaurants and dishes I probably wouldn't have tried on my own, and every stop was as delicious as the last. Beyond the food, Bernice shared the history and culture behind each business, making it feel like much more than a simple food tour. I left with a greater appreciation for the neighborhood, its people, and its history. Both tours were informative, fun, and thoughtfully put together. My husband and I went on the Fact, Fiction and Fun tour of the lower east side. We met Leslie in…read morefront of the Eldridge Street Synagogue in the Lower East Side. She greeted and was very friendly. As it turns out, we were the only people on this particular tour, as it was a Saturday and most of these tours occur on Sunday. She keeps you involved as she is always showing you something interesting and explaining facts about it. She is definitely engaged with the people in her tour. We did a good amount of walking and saw many things. She also explained how people lived during those times. One interesting fact was that apartments on the higher floors were less expensive than those on the lower floors, which is completely opposite today, where apartments on the higher floors are much more expensive. When explained that there was no running water and baths required that water be brought up to the apartment, which was a chore. Also, everyone generally shared the same water because they didn't want to schlep the water multiple times. We went into the Tenement Museum, which was interesting. We went into several restaurants and shops My favorite was Yonah Schimmels Knishs, where we bought about 10 of them. In retrospect this was a mistake because they weighed about 12 pounds and we had to carry them. The tour was about 2 hours or so. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Leslie was very engaging and made the tour move quickly. She is very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend any tours that she gives. We plan on going back to take another in the near future
