The walking tour goes at a good pace to cover a wide area but slow enough to also stop, think and take photos. Good value for money and well organised the tour takes you through the main streets in Bushwick and Jeff explains the background behind many of the pieces. It's a good way to get your bearings before revisiting solo or continuing your wonder under your own steam. Bushwick, Brooklyn is the street art epicentre with an ever changing array of works from world renowned street artists.

Nothing about the neighbourhood being cool or artistic. Maybe 5 mins total was spent talking about artists that performed here. Hate to break it to you but the rest of the world knows the us has issues with poverty and garbage healthcare system. Nearly everywhere has issues with gentrification. Making a tour 100% about that when it's completely mismatched with the description is false advertising. ONE graffiti art spot. Not much sense preaching to tourists about unaffordable housing for 2 hours.

We have much respect for the Chassidic community. Everyone that we met was so warm and friendly. I was invited to wear tefillin at the main synagogue. I've never seen anyone do that at my temple, so I was unfamiliar with the practice. They were nice enough to let me use a set and they talked me through the blessings. I have since ordered my own set of tefillin from Israel and I am excited to use them. The falafel sandwich that I had for lunch was the best one I've ever had. My girlfriend said she hadn't had one that good since her Birthright Israel trip. The Chabad movement and the other Chassidic Jews are truly keeping Judaism alive, and I must tip my yarmulke to them. ;)

He "brings home" why some of the Jewish observances are so important. The tour gave so many of our observances MEANING. I learned so much! It's a great tour, seeing the scribes, the mikvah, and the matzoh factory -- but the heart and soul of the tour is Rabbi Beryl and his unique way of teaching. He makes everyone feel welcome and part of the tour -- not just an observer. I can't image anyone, Jewish or otherwise, not learning so much about the heart of Jewish New York from this tour. Enjoy, it may change your life -- It did mine!

We chose the private family tour and booking was quick and easy and the customer service as great as I remembered. On to the tour itself: Luke met us at the Museum of Natural History on time and we got reacquainted. My son is autistic and can have some trouble warming to new people but absolutely no the case with Luke, he immediately put my son at ease and they were chatting like old friends as we made our way into Central Park. The tour covered loads of Central Park, including an exciting off track visit to a secret cave, the plaza hotel, grand central station, some fun subway rides, and concluded at the Brooklyn Bridge. But more than just seeing so many iconic sites, Luke had hundreds of facts and stories (which my son loved) about what we were seeing. It was truly like spending a wonderful day with an old friend. I cannot recommend highly enough Luke and Real New York Tours. Until next time!

It's a great tour but I think if they revised the name to "haunted" or "spooky", it would be closer to the actual tour. Which is a history of massive deaths in the Brooklyn area. The tour goes from Williamsburg, to the Navy Yard to back up. You actually learn a lot about the Cobble Hill area. Tyler and Danny were great and so knowledgeable!! Not sure if this is a repeatable tour, but it definitely is worth it! Also come on the earlier side bc seats fill up quickly! I think I was only 1 of 3 locals. Everyone else were tourists. But they were nice. Highly recommend!

It was uncomfortable and poorly managed. The guide herself (Gaya) seemed nervous and not very comfortable with public speaking. Her energy was low and it made the tour feel flat. The whole thing really needed more confidence and enthusiasm to make the stories come alive. As for the tour content, it was extremely underwhelming. We did not go to any real haunted sites or cemeteries. At one point the driver simply pulled over on the side of the highway and pointed out a cemetery in the distance. I could not believe that counted as part of the experience. Overall this felt like a waste of money and time. It was crowded, disorganized, and the storytelling lacked excitement. I would not recommend this tour to anyone expecting an engaging or authentic haunted experience.
