Harry & Son Jewelers

Not many jewelers are open on Mondays. Harry and Son are....with Jack Justice in the back working…read moreon custom jewelry. My friend and I had wanted to pop into a jeweler - so we tried one downtown Morgan Hill but it was closed Monday. So I google search for others and we headed over to Harry's. Closed until 1:30pm- we walked next door to Hobby Lobby to shop around a bit. Then went back. Walking inside the store you can tell that this is not really a jewelry store - it is more a custom made jewelry store where Jack will make your dreams come true. I saw from the sign that he will rhodium your white gold jewelry - and seeing that one of my rings needed some work done - left it with him ($75) to work on. Now this is one of my favorite rings, with my dad's baguettes from his wedding ring in it, made for me from a different jeweler - but I felt comfortable with Jack to do this. I just had a feeling I could trust him. About two weeks later when I had the time to go back (He had told me 3 days) I was able to make it into his store - and the ring just looked great, polished with the rhodium placed back on it to protect it as best it could. Now with the trust built in with his work - I asked him to make my wedding band for me. And he is working on that now. I'll b back soon to leave another review on that item!

Kay Jewelers Outlet - Kay

My wife and I decided to stop by the Gilroy Outlets. Our anniversary was coming up and I wanted to…read morebuy my wife something special in terms of jewelry. My sister used to work in the jewelry retail business; consequently, she recommended visiting an outlet store for the best bargains. We first stopped by Jared Vault (the outlet store for Jared's). We had a helpful employee, but the manager seemed very cold and unhelpful with some of our questions. In fact, I used some of the terminology that my sister told me to use, but the manager acted like she had never heard those terms before. The young woman who was assisting us continued to try and help, but she was relatively new and just couldn't help with finding the type of ring my wife was looking for. After a little more shopping around the outlets, we found the Kay Jewelers Outlet. The difference in customer service was like night and day! We were immediately helped by "Nick." He patiently listened to my wife's very particular taste in rings. Nick showed us as many rings as we could and made some very helpful suggestions. Within a short time, he understood what my wife was looking for. He made some suggestions and gently explained that the one style of ring that she wanted to avoid -- anniversary bands -- aren't all the same. He showed her everything from event jewelry to wedding sets to anniversary bands. Nick helped her try on some different jewelry until she found one that she really liked. He offered to help us "open an account," but the price was reasonable enough to purchase outright. In fact, we ended up saving about 50% off of the retail price! I can't recommend Kay Jewelers Outlet enough -- and Nick in particular. We drove from Palo Alto just to look but left feeling like we hit the bargain of the century in terms of both service and quality of merchandise! Nick treated us like we were the most important customer of the day -- something that you usually only feel if you are well dressed and visiting a very high end jewelry store. I called my sister and explained our purchase. My sister happily admitted that we certainly found a great bargain! Thank you, Nick! My wife loves her beautiful and shiny new anniversary band!

There is a variety of things: - cookware and kitchen ceramics - garden art - paper decor and flowers - jewlery - clothing - there is even a small but cool little soccer shop that is separate business but located in the side/back of this shop. They do have an online site but nowhere near as much variety and items as they have in their magical store. I visit whenever I am in town and I love all the items I have collected. I forgot to mention GREAT prices for this stunning colorful art. Photos attached! Go check them out and support small businesses and ART.

Which suckered me in immediately with its bright vibrant colors and welcoming atmosphere. The owner was very curious why I was snapping so many photos. With as little knowledge that I have of Gilroy, I noticed immediately there's so much potential for this shop. With more exposure and recognition within the Gilroy community, "Mexican arts and crafts" fanatics have the opportunity to dash in! I totally fell in loooove with Artemex! The cute souvenirs that I know are staples in Mexico are here!!... In Gilroy! How cool is that!?!!! So many hand-crafted items that are perfect for gifts! Though everything is totally overpriced, I appreciated the intricate details of the beaded necklace, cute Frida coin purse with a sturdy zipper, and a commemorative magnet that resembles a dragon to me. The magnet has another meaning to it to Spanish-speaking people but I wasn't able to gather the story and meaning of it. This is the spot if you're into a tourist-like experience miles away from actually being physically in a Spanish-speaking country. It's been a long week so walking around and making selections in this store helped ease my overloaded mind after midterms.
